As much as I like Takako, don't want to get involved with 2nd squad or Captain 'I deal with missing my crush by stabbing people'.

Shiba thing wouldn't be the worst, but prefer this atm, guess I'll see what the previews bring.

He may not stop being her son, but it would be one less memento left from her (Ichigo already lost one when he lost his Quincy powers; he doesn't have a whole lot left). The Shiba, on the other hand, are family, but they're also right there. Masaki isn't.

You don't really need much to remember people who are right in front of you. Someone like Masaki, though? Someone who was eaten by a Hollow? Someone Ichigo will never see again? Her memory is all that's really left of her. Willingly throwing away any mementos of her is unacceptable.

Why would he throw away the name Kurosaki? He could easily call himself Shiba Kurosaki Ichigo. If it is truly unacceptable for him, he will find a way to keep it.

Doesn't say anything about discarding Kurosaki.

I am sticking with this until we get confirmation that taking the Shiba name won't make us discard the Kurosaki name

If we didn't have sisters to worry about, I'd totally be going for the Shiba thing.

Also, why would 2nd even want us? We are not subtle. Everything about us screams "unsubtle". It's not just a square peg in a round hole, it's a square peg in a coin slot!

Doesn't sound like Zangetsu is happy with us. But this can probably be overcome with a little bit of work.

So instead of a badass sword we have a knife now? That isn't good. Less reach, so we have to get in closer. Also two handed opponents have an advantage over us because they can use two hands, hence more strength to their strikes compared to us. That doesn't sound appealing at all.

So was Omaeda, however, do remember how much focus we've put into Hoho in our studies and remember just how fast Ichigo learns when he has the motivation to.

Also, politics and favours.

First of all, TPK does not allow write-ins.

Going for this due to paranoia and the fact that Old Man Genocide and the most useless Captain known as Soi Fon would be all over killing our family if they make the connection.

Though if we do take the Shiba name, expect the Tenth and Thirteenth divisions to fight over us.

After some contemplation, I've decided to the Kurosaki name. Nothing against the Shibas, but Misaki is very important to Ichogo.

Any damage you inflict on Komamura's Bankai hurts him too. His ultimate power is to literally just make himself a bigger target. He's basically Worf's wayward wolf cousin. He exists to job, and job hard.

Moreover, it was Hisagi that beat Tousen. Komamura was just a distraction. Soi Fon may have also only been a distraction against Barragan, but Barragan was stupid OP even by Bleach standards (being beaten only by Aizen and Yhwach). Soi Fon at least distracted someone more dangerous than Komamura did.

Komamura gets more points for actually keeping at the job even with his Bankai on a personal level to me.

Wasn't Tousen Aizen's left hand man? I'd say he distracted an important ally of his. Especially how helpful he'd be against the Zero Squad.
