Of course. Even though he isn't his Abridged version, Alucard still refuses to stay in the basement.

Really what the choice will do is change the context of the interactions and how Sanguinius feels about certain members of Hellsing.

Examples: The first option will have Sanguinius see Alucard as more of a "Exceedingly Harsh Father Figure" while Seras is his, "Kind, Supportive, Mother/Sister Figure". Integra would be, "The Mistress".
