Best In Life - Imperial Knight Order Quest [Warhammer Fantasy]

As I mentioned earlier, the Everqueen has some really bullshit hax Life magic, like once she restored a Chaos champion from a 8-foot brickhouse brute into the scrawny mongrel he was before worshipping Chaos and gaining their gifts.

Since we're in with the Asur and definately earned a vacation, maaaaybe we can justify a trip to Ulthuan and petition to see her?
Yeah, that's a tall order. We might have some goodwill from some Asur, but meeting the Everqueen? At this point, I suspect we'd be laughed out of the room before we could even finish that sentence.

That was more because she is such a font of purity that she removed all his Slanaesshy Chaos blessings with a touch and then let them come back all at once turning him in a chaos spawn when she let him go. The point I was making is that we do not need her to fix this and the chances that we could get in contact to ask before things were decided is very very low.

I'd be more than okay with our "masseuse" helping us become a Lahmian vampire, and we just go on killing things like our own version of a Blood Dragon. Interesting turn of events.

Rather not be a Vampire otherwise we can no longer worship sigmar and that's a no go for me.

Really guys I think we are okay our Brother just needs to pull some favors and after what we have done buy stopping Beastmen from corrupting the land any further we probably scored some major thanks with the Jade order.

Personally would not mind being a Vamp if we go down that path.

Dear Sigmar those dice.

I didn't like the rolls. The way they went super high and super low like that, and very evidently because of the explosion mechanics, just felt really bad.

The injury is like ten minute work for a Jade Magister Lord. A Reiksguard Inner Circle Veteran turned Grand Master of a new order who cut a Beastlord in half while missing half her torso is probably on the list.

Not gonna lie this is how it felt for me too. I could have finished the update a day earlier but it was just immensely frustrating how the dice went. It was a small miracle that I figured it out before I returned to camp.

I will say it was awesome though like this is the type of shit you read about in legends.

Definitely getting some rumors about us being unkillable in the future.

If the survival roll had failed, what would have happened? The quest would be over or we would have continued with one of our subordinates, as long as the fight didn't end up as a TPK?

Let's see what's up with the battle.

edit: thought it was line vote so we could choose multiple for a preference vote. Although only one vote can actually win of course.

Honestly probably a playable epilogue following Karl Franz and maybe her squire taking up the Grandmastery in her stead - the knights would then become reasonably successful but nowhere exceptional, because unlike Johanna, Reinhard isn't a Named Lord-tier character that specialises in duelling.

Hoo boy, I know what you mean. >.>

But hey, at least the update is done with and you can write a new one. It was a cool update regardless, for me at least.

Incidentally, if Johanna and co. are so stupid as to not test Luise the moment she says anything about avoiding the sun, well, they might as well wander the world wearing signs offering themselves up to any vampire that wants them.

I don't remember the discussion on the matter earlier, but that sort of operation security failure from a competent, military section is inexcusable enough to not be realistic.

Not all Vampires are hurt by the sun though.

Also I like it.

Johanna being oblivious to a potential vampire love intrest is funny to me.

Also kind of insane to jump to conclusions like that.

Someone says they don't want to swim in a river the first thought isn't that they are a vampire.

This is a bit more obvious than no swimming, and this is not our world. It's a horribly dangerous one with active metaphysical threats and possibilities all over the place.

D100 are hyper swingy. There is simply no consistency with them. a run of low rolls can mean a master spends a battle fucking up, and a run of high rolls can mean someone spends their fist battle fighting way better than they should. It can usually be abstracted, but a run of high or low in the wrong place can lead to utter nonsense.

Thank you.

And I'll agree with torroar, it was a pretty cool update to read. And pretty gripping too.

Hey perhaps it's just an harmless skin disease/condition? :ninja:

Wait, wrong quest. Or is it? You can't prove she isn't the vampire, can you?
