The other option I considered was "Smell ya later!". Still not sure which one is best.

[X] Suggest that maybe Gunzou should send more of his ships to engage the enemy. Maybe sending out Boston to wake her up.

[X] Just watch and be smug. Smile at the Captain with the best shit eating grin you have as his base gets attacked. Keep this up until he gives up.

You're off before Gunzou can even say anything, grabbing Mary and hightailing it to the docks. The area is still a little unfamiliar, but you don't have too much trouble finding your way back to your entry route and tracing it.

Soon, you're back where you started. It's strange how quickly things change. When you left this dock for the first time, Blue Steel was a mysterious threat. Now, after even this brief time among them, you don't hesitate to sail to their defense.

Your hull awaits, and you board quickly, leaping aboard to the cheers of the dockworkers, Mary cheering in your arms as you soar through the air.

You land cleanly aboard yourself,, and immediately head for you bridge, Mary trailing behind you as you rush in.

As you hurry through your halls, you have already begun moving your hull, cameras granting you sight beyond the limits of your Mental Model's perceptions, and you take comfort at being reunited with your main body at last.

Your hull shudders against the docking clamps, and Blue Steel members move to release them, but you are in a hurry--you need to get to the battle NOW, if you intend to show off properly--and simply tear free of them, heading for the gate. Your turrets are ready to blow it down, but, sadly, the humans have already gotten it open enough for you to sail through, and soon you are on the open sea, heading towards the sounds of gunfire.

You and Mary take seats on your bridge, Mary strapping herself in, "Hurry, Surcouf!" You nod.

You push your engines, and arrive quickly at the scene, to find several of Blue Steel's ships already engaged with the enemy force, firing the limited weaponry they can without active Cores.

The foe is rather unimpressive...an old missile battleship, familiar and easy to deal with, if it weren't for the photon cannons, reported thanatonium rockets with vibration warheads. In addition, it's defending itself with--

Ah, actually, that's not so bad. You had assumed they would have managed something akin to a Klein Field, but they're using reflective anti-photon armor, instead. You remember that being fielded 200 years ago, to only modest effectiveness. It can resist photon turret fire, but fully negating the damage from them is beyond it.

'Hmm...they certainly didn't send their best. I'd be offended, if they sent this after me, but it seems it was meant for Blue Steel, instead.'

Blue Steel's Photon Cannons are scorching the ship's hull already, but the returning fire is clearly straining their Klein Fields.

This battle will certainly be won by Blue Steel, but, as it is now, their victory might seem too sorely bought. If the enemy reports back that Blue Steel is vulnerable at all...

You need to end this decisively, if you want to intimidate the Americans.

Now...how to go about it?

What's the status of our weapons systems (including munitions for them). Also our defensive systems, but I'm assuming we'll probably have to resort to dodging for the most part.

You know, maybe we should keep the railguns, because of things like these?
Do we think airburst rounds will still be functional after punching through the armor? And do we how this type is laid out internally? What I'm thinking is putting an airburst round inside the CIC, then punching holes in important things while the chain of command is reestablished. I doubt that it would work, but maybe get some HE shells for later.
Other targets I could think of:
Missile pods. If this is anything like the Zumwalts, the cells are separated to keep chain reactions from blowing up the ship.
Photon cannons. Simple enough. Will cut some of the offensive capabilities.
Engines. Not super decisive, but should be nice.
Sensors. Probably exposed, probably vulnerable to airburst rounds taking out entire clusters. Will hopefully render missiles useless and prevent photon cannons from targeting for a bit. That should give us time to knock out the cannons themselves.

Railguns and torps/missiles.

I'm not exactly a genius on naval warfare, soo... um... please tell me if these makes even a modicum of sense, or even if it's feasible. 'Cause I have no idea.

[X] Begin with a long-range salvo of projectiles from Surcouf's missile tubes, aimed at towards the hull of the vessel. Not a lot to do much damage, but enough to divert attention away from the other Blue Steel ships. Close the distance as quickly as you can, while continuously firing missiles, focusing fire at the ship's offensive capabilities. Once at an optimal range, obliterate the aggressor by firing Surcouf's Dual Railguns, Kinetic ammunition loaded, at the bridge, hopefully taking out the chain of command.

I don't know what the differences between the ammunition are, so um... I have no idea if this plan works.
