[X] Plan Shifty Belkans and their "Humanitarian Missions"
This is what the Osea media and politicians are saying on OBC the premier fake new network on the Osea Continent.
So, it's been a while. Updoot on the writing progress:
It goes, slowly. One of the actions has had it's writeup done and the math is done for 2 of the other 3. I can't give any hard or soft dates on when things'll be done though. The energy to actually write is spotty at best as of late.
We are never going to build a lighthouse not only would it bankrupt us but we are in a horrible position for a space elevator. There is a reason it was built where it was as that is the area that it needs to be done at. As for an Arsenal Bird it might be useful but it isn't needed as it would cost way too much to maintain. We would need to get back South Belka its industries and convince the neighbors to join us before we had the economy to support mega weapons like that.excellent...good work wolf, looking forward to seeing if we can nab our own arsenal bird...or maybe make our own lighthouse?
the idea of drone-planes sounds good...issue is AI's tend to be...unreliable...
so maybe use the lighthouse wannabe as a connection to the drones our own Arsenal bird can deploy, so our pilots can pull maneuvers that would normally KILL regular pilots, also let us redesign the planes without need for humans to sit in them. Also means we don't lose pilots during battle...just planes.
and planes are easier to replace then pilots. The trade off could be less EXP gained from these conflicts...but hey it would do wonders for our military as Drone tech is able to keep our airforce alive for a longer while. (of course we can still send up planes with people in them just to make sure they don't lose their edge)
Yeah except even in AC3 things like that aren't a thing. Unless it is a drone or a ZOE the plane needs a pilot in the seat.the drones though, that's what I was talking about, as using a version of the lighthouse to allow us to bounce signals out in space where our own satellites could cover and give pilots Real-time Information to fly the planes from a safe location.
Actually, there is a remote-pilot-via-satellite-COFFIN aircraft in Ace Combat. It's not from Strangereal, though, so no guarantees on actually being able to develop it.Yeah except even in AC3 things like that aren't a thing. Unless it is a drone or a ZOE the plane needs a pilot in the seat.
That doesn't count because it is both from a different universe but is something completely different. I am aware it exists which is why I said in Strangreal as in the world and universe we inhabit is what we have to work with. And even decades in the future of this world where AI is completely self-aware and overpowered and COFFIN systems are on every plane that was never able to be done.Actually, there is a remote-pilot-via-satellite-COFFIN aircraft in Ace Combat. It's not from Strangereal, though, so no guarantees on actually being able to develop it.
Nitpick but there are still extremes only drones can reliably pull. After all Jaeger has this to say about them. Our pilots already can pull off moves that should kill them because that is the world they exist in.
Of course it is but in this world pilots routinely pull off things that should kill them. Turns, inversions, post stall maneuvers, and crazy tunnel flying. While drones can handle Gs better only ZOEs can match the rest. Also you can only push drones so much with Gs before the aircraft falls apart.Nitpick but there are still extremes only drones can reliably pull. After all Jaeger has this to say about them.
"Dealing with 9 Gs is tough, but for those UAVs, it's just another day at the office."
