Team Whyachi's minibots have sometimes contibuted... slightly..Often? That implies there has been a time when they have been useful.

I think the quadcopters are worse than the minibots. At least they do something (Like getting stuck under the enemy robots, jamming them.) the quadcopters just fly around willy nilly.
Are they allowed to put a drill on the quadcopter? That may help...
Flying bots ("Flybots") are limited to a maximum of 10.0 pounds each, ready to fight. Exceptions to the Flybot weight limit may be made on a case-by-case basis, depending upon the construction and configuration of the Flybot. We are concerned about damage to the arena sides and ceiling.
Pretty sure Drones are supposed to be like ten pounds at the maximum or some other puny number.
Like honestly they're not going to accomplish much if anything at all.
After reading the rules it says they'd make exceptions on a case by case basis...
... Except they're definitely not going to approve anything powerful enough to damage the walls and ceiling.
Also it'd entirely depend on design and stuff so if your bot isn't tasteful enough or whatever you're screwed.
Also also it's a flying robot and the battlebox is funky. I remember reading something somewhere that said that there were weird air currents in the box that screwed with flying bots but don't quote me on that.
Also also also I'm pretty sure that drones count towards the 250 pound weight limit so if you build a bigger drone your main bot's gonna have to get smaller and the main bot is what really matters because if that gets knocked out you're sol. But don't quote me on that this is stuff I'm half remembering and I'm probably wrong on this last part.
Sadly, drills are...kinda useless as a weapon. After all, it requires you to be stable and pushing forward while using it. Since quadcopters are rather light not to mention really hard to pilot, drils are while cool, pretty useless. Are they allowed to put a drill on the quadcopter? That may help...
Like the old lightweight and heavyweight divisions, the drone division! The drones are an interesting idea, but they probably should have made a drone vs drone competition instead.
Exactly. Maybe start with a few exhibition matches while the bugs are worked out on the rules.Like the old lightweight and heavyweight divisions, the drone division!

"No individual bot may make up more than 40% of your total weight."
I watched Airmageddon. I'm not convinced that drone v. drone is worth watching. The drones are an interesting idea, but they probably should have made a drone vs drone competition instead.
And dat Bronco win. :lol
"We could be sent up to the ceiling and still keep running"
*Is flipped on its side*
"D'OH!"
On this Episode
Decapitation! and good judges decision for once.
I'll defend the prior calls- simply pointing a wedge at an opponent shouldn't score points if they've got all the aggression.
Now, this time?
Ramming the opponent with the wedge, repeatedly, and preventing the opponent from doing much but trying to self-right repeatedly? Also a clear call! Much better aggressiveness, Bombshell earned that win in a way that the prior mostly-used-wedge bot didn't.
I was surprised by how much Bronco could do backwards... though still desired a real flip ^^
There's probably also something telling about the fact that Bronco was able to successfully pull off flip - low level though they may be - even from behind. They've defeated at least one Drum Spinner already, if anyone can up-end the seeming dominance of drum spinners this season, Bronco will be the bot to do it.
The amusing part is that it's all a consequence of prepping for a horizontal spinner. Funny to see how the same principle works for coming out ahead in both cases.
