You Dream.
It begins in memory, as always. The frantic flight as you and a dozen other Knights of the Order hurtle through the black, your powers reaching out into the battle, lending focus to your allies, and doubt to your foes. This is your greatest skill, and the one thing that allows the heavy assault shuttle you ride in to even attempt to thread through the horde of Starfighters engaged before you.
It's still not enough. The Republic Forces are outnumbered almost three to one, and it takes all your strength to lend them the strength to hold their ground. Scores of fighters converge on the loose formation of assault craft, and you wince as the shuttle to the Starboard side explodes into fragments, the Jedi aboard disappearing from your sense in one violent moment. Then your shuttle is hit, and you hear a shouted "Brace for Impact" and then Darkness, as you crash into the Hanger bay of Revan's Flagship.
The battle that follows you remember only in flashes. Being hauled to your feet by a Master Suk'joh, only to watch him be impaled on a ruby red Lightsaber. A desperate duel with a Sith initiate, ended with judicious use of Telekinesis and a damaged power conduit. A Republic Commando's last desperate charge into a horde of Sith with an armed thermal detonator in hand.
A hundred battles, a hundred sacrifices, each carrying you closer and closer to your goal: the Bridge, and the Dark Lord who even now you can feel upon it. Darth Revan.
The Strike force is but a pale shadow of what it began as you break into the command section of the ship, the Republic slicers doing their best to seal the doors, and stem the near endless flow of reinforcements. Only a meager eleven Jedi remain now, along with a dozen or so Republic Soldiers, arrayed against the Dark Lord's elite guard.
When the last of the Sith falls to the ground, only four of your remain. You shout out a defiant cry as the Dark lord finally turns to face you, the red lightsaber sliding into a high stance....and then the deafening explosion as Malak siezes upon this moment of weakness and betrays his Master.
When you wake, the planet below is looming large in the window ahead as the ship slides towards it. Your compatriots are dead....but Revan is not. You stumble to the fallen Sith, Lightsaber in hand, ready to end the monster once and for all....but you hesitate.
A Jedi is merciful. The Jedi do not execute their prisoners, no matter what their crimes.
You shut off your saber, clipping it to your belt, and begin to heal the Sith. It is a clumsy thing, for you are not a trained healer, but manage to coax a flow of your own lifeforce deep into the Sith before you, feeding it deep into their body and soul. And then you begin to see.
Fragments of memory, of the War, of the Mandalorian invasion, of Revan's time as a Jedi. And before it all, you see something else, something that should not be, something impossible, another face in another time wearing another body, but yet you know this is still Revan.
The images are confused, and hard to understand, but you still manage to get an idea of what was before.
What do you see?
[]The Agent of Order (Alexander Pierce)
[]The Soldier-Prophet (Commander Shepard)
[]The Webspinner (Taylor Hebert)
[]The Bloodstained King (Dracula)
And then, you awake.
It has been six months since that desperate battle, six months since you captured the Dark Lord of the Sith against all odds. It has bought the Republic a reprieve, but it is not enough- for what Malak lacks in cunning in strategy, he more then makes up in savagery and brutality. The infighting has stopped, and now Malak has begun a new offensive against the Republic, advancing towards key munition manufacturing planets in the Mid-Rim.
But that is not where you are going.
Instead, the Endar Spire is hurtling though hyperspace, bound for Taris with a small contingent of Jedi and one very unusual specialist.
But for now, thoughts of your mission are a distraction, as you clear your mind and ready yourself for your morning katas.
What sort of Lightsaber do you use?
[]Single Blade
[]Saberstaff
[]Dual Lightsabers
What color is the blade?
[]Blue
[]Yellow
[]Green
Notes:
Probably ill advised, but I'm starting a new quest anyway. I'm taking a somewhat different take on the typical reincarnation quest here, namely, in case you couldn't tell, you aren't controlling the Reincarnated character. You're just trying to coral them and use them to uncover the secret of the Sith War Machine before it crushes the Republic beneath it's boot. Hopefully without them realizing they're an ex-Sith Lord and taking bloody vengeance on you.
Other Note:
So, after some thought, decided to crosspost this to SV. Never run a Quest on two forums before, so we'll see how that works out.
