Your morning routine is not a complicated one; for all that the Lightsaber is the symbol of the Jedi, it's never been your primary focus. That isn't to say you're incompetent, but you have always taken more interest in the mysteries of the Force then in the study of Lightsaber forms.
Still, you work through the forms, your viridian blade tracing through the patterns of Shii-Cho you learned as a child before you shift, and begin working through Niman, the form you learned during your tutelage under Master Zez-Kai Ell.
Soon you're done, and after cleaning up in the 'fresher, you turn to work. Specifically, paperwork. While Commander Onasi was running the vast majority of the Endar Spire's the day to day operations independently, there were apparently a great deal of things he thought she needed to know about. In particular he had made several notes on morale, and how the crew would really like to know what, precisely, the mission was, and why they (and especially Bastila) weren't heading to the front- for all that the "death" of Revan had denied the Sith their greatest tactical mind and their control of the alien killik, the Republic was still outnumbered. The addendums suggesting that any information that could be spared would be helpful for maintaining crew morale was polite, worded with the utmost respect, and left absolutely no doubt that Onasi really wanted to know what the hell they were doing.
You let out a sigh at that. You wish you could tell the Commander more, but the Council was quite firm on the matter of security. Even Ulgo, the Republic Intelligence Officer assigned to keep watch on Revan didn't know exactly why he was doing so.
Still, his reports suggested that the implanted memories were holding for now. As far as Ulgo could tell, Lysa Hantid had yet to give even the slightest indication that she was anything more then a deep-space scout with a flair for languages.
A chirping on your Chrono shakes you out of your ruminations. Thirty minutes until you arrived at Taris. Time to go.
The Bridge is a hive of activity when you arrive, as the Endar Spire prepares to drop. Commander Onasi acknowledges you with a brief nod before turning his attention back to the navigator, discussing some obscure facet of the Endar Spire's navigation system.
Then everything goes wrong. The room shifts, and it's all you can do to keep upright; around you, you can see others who were less fortunate. The bridge descends into controlled chaos as ratings begin rattling off a long list of "Contact!" and "Incoming!" A wailing klaxon brings the entire ship to Battlestations, and lets the entire ship know what you and everyone else on the bridge had already figured out.
It's a trap.
The Sith are here. The Holotank is literally filled with contacts, and you can already see fighters vectoring towards you out the viewscreen. Moments later, they enter firing range, and both they and the Spire's defense batteries open up, trading fire. Fighters blink out on the holotank as they are picked off by the defensive batteries, but more fill the gap, and you can already feel the Spire shake as Sith Turbolasers begin to bound into her hull.
It occurs to you that there is a very real chance that you will die here today. You drive the thought from your mind- There is no emotion, there is peace.
Your voice is calm and steady when you ask the Commander that one, critical question. "Can we evade them?"
He stares at the display for a moment. "No. Even with your Battle Meditation, the geometry's all wrong. It'd take us twenty minutes to get clear of the interdictors if they stood still, and they won't do that."
"Escape pods?"
"Three minutes until we're withing range of the planet. As soon as we are, I'm going to give the order to abandon ship. You need to be on one of the first pods."
You raise an eyebrow at that. "I can use my Battle Meditation to help the crew and slow down the ship, Commander. I'm not going to just stand by and-"
"No. You're a priceless strategic asset Bastila. If Malak kills you- or worse, captures you- thousands could die. You need to get clear as quickly as possible. I have no idea how long the Endar Spire will hold together, and we can't risk you going down with the ship."
Respond:
[]Head straight to the escape pods. You need to live to fight another day, and that means getting to the escape pods now.
[]Head to the escape pods, but detour to make sure Revan makes it off the ship. It's riskier, but you can't risk her dieing. Or worse, falling into enemy hands.
[]Your Battle Meditation will allow the Endar Spire to make it farther, and evacuate more crew before it's inevitable destruction. Use it. You can get to the escape pods once everyone else is off.
