I actually skipped most of the cutscenes for this event, because it has "me" being on the side of the Ironblood, fighting against the Azur Lane, ie the ships I've been carefully nurturing and getting close to in regular play.

I've been playing the game for a year now...after Pokemon Go refused to let me register, it's my go-to mobile game. Not that I'm even competent at it.
For the Anniversary Free SR, I picked Atago simply because she was the one ship on the list I didn't have.

Same here. Apparently she's one of the less powerful options to pick, but she's the only one I didn't already have, and I can Prototype Bulin LB the others eventually. Currently I'm using the 10-hour commissions and the dorm to level her up.

I play this game for the anime girls, but sometimes I feel like there should be more focus on costumes that use rather more cloth.

My problem is honestly Bache being kind of a little kid rather than anything specific about her clothes. AL is particularly bad about this, which is annoying since I generally prefer this game over KanColle, especially since it allows me to unrepentantly beat the shit out fascists with my USN gunline like BJ Blaskowicz intended sssshhhh, they don't need to know about that Takao-class fleet...
I'm kind of hyped for Italian boats, but I just really want to have Mikasa event both so I can get the grandma boat, and for Sakura plot to start finally making sense.

My thoughts on the game

This game main story has never been updated since chapter 3, and multiple event storylines after that is hard to make sense of chronologically. I can't resist rolling my eyes when I read the cutscenes, WW2 documentaries is still the better alternatives than Azur Lane's cutscenes.
Other than the story, the gameplay and the gacha is pretty solid IMO. It is not very Bullet-Hell-esque, but I love simple 2D shooter. Event rewards are pretty generous and this game has few of the hottest L2D skins in mobages.

Meowfficers are pretty useful as Coin sinks, my coins has never goes beyond the cap since they implemented Ship's cat.
The rename function is cool.
I rename one of my Meowfficer as Oscar and have him serve on Bismarck's fleet because poor Bismarck need her cat back.

The game tries to subtly sell you the Sub clothes, you need to dress up those Subs
Pretty sure they stopped the main story chapters because the game blew up in Japan which kind of makes it difficult to justify them as the main villain. The event chapters give hints of a larger plot, but not enough had been revealed yet. Just give it time. Finally, Aurora isn't bad, her skill is ridiculously op, especially it stacks unconditionally with other buffs so she is justified to be weak stats wise. Pre-retro Sandy on the other hand, is just bad

35% increased vanguard damage is OP but Avrora is hard to do damage herself, and you need to equip her with good Gear to make her survive later stages.
I think London Retrofit is the better alternative to Avrora, she buff vanguard FP and her survivability is good enough.

It is finally here, they added War Archives and our first event that available permanently, and hopefully other events will follow soon.
Visitors Dyed in Red and All of it's exclusive ships will be available permanently.
