[X] [Evidence] Hold off until the assassination is attempted, so that we can point the finger at him as an attempted murderer.
[X] [Assassination] Stymie every attempt at it's inception. Use your network to capture every paid assassin, falsify every informant's report, until Ailus has wasted so much money failing to kill you he can no longer afford the expense.
It would be pretty doable. You have most of Ailus' plotting network figured out, but there's still a few blind spots. Odds are well in your favor to cause an 'oops the attempt was caught and the perpetrator fingered Ailus' message popup.
@Powerofmind if we go with:
[] [Evidence] Hold off until the assassination is attempted, so that we can point the finger at him as an attempted murderer.
How would the assassination choice differ?
Like, would the "stymie" one:
[] [Assassination] Stymie every attempt at it's inception. Use your network to capture every paid assassin, falsify every informant's report, until Ailus has wasted so much money failing to kill you he can no longer afford the expense.
Change somewhat to be more "put a lot of effort into stopping a successful assassination, let failure through"? or would it be "stop all assassinations", so we'd kind of be banking on failing at stopping all of them, while succeeding at surviving the one(s) that get through?
Likewise, with "let Alius come":
[] [Assassination] Your first year is proof enough of what happens to those who seek your demise. Let Ailus come; you would like to see what he's cooked up.
would that be more of a "don't put any extra effort into stopping plots"? Or is it more "still lots of effort, just focused on surviving and catching them, not on stopping plots"?

For the first pairing, you would stymie his attempts as soon as he's conceived of them, and if anything actually got to the point that a person entered your keep to kill you, you would try to capture them and immediately reveal the whole thing. It could go either way, as he would probably stop plotting after his reputation took a significant enough hit from the reveal of treachery, and thus stop freely bleeding lien.
The second pairing is the bold and brash. You would put effort into knowing it was coming, and keep a close eye out for the actual attempt, revealing immediately and without all the extra intrigue that would be involved in covertly strangling a bunch of expensive assassinations at conception.

Yes keep draining your treasury into this endeavor. I wonder how much we can drain before he gives up.
Once upon a time, in an age long lost to us, the Stormcaller was hosting a grand feast on his home isle of Patch. Disciples of every sort gathered to drink and make merry, and the laughter of the guests mingled with the cawing of the crows that thronged the skeletal branches of the trees. No one laughed louder or drank more than the Stormcaller himself, who basked in the revelry, content.
That is, until a guest arrived.
It was a maiden, the very first of them, a woman named Winter who had been blessed by the hand of the Knight of Frost. She had come at her patron Goddess' behest, to chastise the Stormcaller for the noise and impropriety of the festivities. Yet when she scowled and demanded he put an end to the feast, the Stormcaller merely laughed all the louder and called for more ale.
Until, that is, he saw the silver pendant dangling around her neck.
It had been a gift, a token of friendship from the Knight herself, and the skill of her divine craftsmanship captivated all who looked upon it. Even the merest flicker of torchlight shone when it touched the necklace's gleaming silver, and as the snowflake emblazoned upon the pendant danced to and fro it seemed to pull the light of the hall towards it and shine it back twice as radiant as before, bending the torchlight in ways fantastical and miraculous beyond description.
The Stormcaller was instantly taken. Not with the woman herself, of course, but with the pendant. The crow within him was drawn towards the beautiful shimmer of the jewlery, and his trickster mind raced with possibilities of the mischief he could make with something that seemed alluring enough to bend light itself.
He longed to seize the pendant for himself. But even such a sly and cunning god as him was loathe to break the guest right and steal from anyone who feasted in his hall, and though he was a fierce warrior he was by no means as skilled a fighter as the Knight of Frost. Should Winter call upon her Patron for aid, he might very well have lost the battle. So, cunning as he was, the old crow hit upon a plan. With the talents of a true actor, he twisted his face into a sneer.
"I see the Knight has sent her favorite lapdog to silence me. Well I say this to that, Ice Queen: that she is a coward, to send some foolish mortal to chastise me so. She could never best me in wits, courage or strength-" at this he put on his most patronizing airs "-and I doubt you could either."
Now this accusation made the Maiden all but tremble with fury. In an instant, she drew her swords, and a cold wind swept through the hall as she demanded the Stormcaller challenge her in personal combat, "so that I may put an end to your empty boasting, you drunken braggart." The Stormcaller accepted at once, rising to his feet and grabbing his blade as he followed her out into the castle's courtyard. For a moment, the two stood alone as crows flocked to perch and observe the coming battle.
For a moment, both were ready to duel, but a look of dismay fell across the Stormcaller's face as he stared at something over Winter's shoulder. Abruptly, he lowered his scythe and spread his arms indignantly. "Now see here, Ice Queen!" he admonished. "You said that this would be a duel between the two of us, but here you are bringing an army to help you fight!"
The Winter Maiden was as confused as she was irritated. "What are you talking about, you old drunk? I have no army with me!"
The Stormcaller just shook his head, his mouth hanging open in awe as he scanned the horizon behind the flummoxed demigoddess. "By the Kingmaker! To bring an army is one thing, but a host as numberless as this, against one man who was merely feasting peacefully! Truly you are without honor, Maiden!"
Exasperated, Winter turned to show him that all that lay behind her was a high stone wall crowded with birds, but in that moment the Stormcaller made his move. Nimbly, he danced forward, slipping the pendant over her head and darting away. As the Maiden cried out and moved to catch him, he transformed into a crow, hiding the silver within the darkness of his feathers and disappearing into the startled flock of birds.
The Maiden's wrath was terrible as she called down the fury of ice and blizzards. Cold winds scythed through flocks of birds, and frost grew on the wings of others, sending them tumbling to the ground, yet still the Stormcaller's luck held, and he fled unscathed. Tirelessly she pursued him, until he reached the sands of Vacuo and the hot sun warmed her bitterly cold winds and melted the frost as she summoned it, and she reluctantly turned away to pursue other duties.
Thus, the Stormcaller kept the pendant, and indeed he used it for many acts of mischief and trickery, yet from that time to this the fury of Winter still lashes out at the Stormcaller and his flock, hoping to strike him down and reclaim the Pendant. And so, every year the crows, and sparrows, and all the other birds flee South at the coming of the first frost, to escape the Maiden's wrath.

Turn 6 Final Results
Almost immediately, Ailus jumps on a perceived chance to have you killed during the remainder of the season, when your spariates will be away from the keep and the guard will be lightened. It fails rather spectacularly when the would-be killer finds himself attacked by 'bandits' on his way into Letum, his body left in a ditch. Even more fortunately, the assassin kept most of his payment on him, so a little of the loot has found it's way into your pocket, with none the wiser.
Entirely by accident, Aristos catches on to the scheme when the money is added to the treasury. "I would just like to know where it came from, my Queen," he says, wanting to push but holding back. "I've a report of a minor noble stripped of valuables and left for dead on the road into the city, here, and it paints a disturbing picture!"
You gesture for him to take a seat across from your desk, desperately trying to catch up on the orders and requests regarding the new dock. You choose to excuse yourself to finish up. "A moment," you offer, going back to the work as best you can, finishing the current page. "There. I had no idea it would be so difficult to put some planks out on the riverfront." Shuffling the papers out of the way, you address your steward's dilemma. "It had recently come to my attention that the man in question had been paid to kill me, while the army was out tamping down on the grimm in the countryside. Truly it was a stroke of luck that one of the bandits sought asylum and brought a little bribe with him."
The aging manager blinks, before exhaling deliberately and thoughtfully. "Well, I can't say it's not clever, Queen Megara, but I'd be remiss if I didn't tell you that this is a risky venture you've taken," warns Aristos. "You should be more careful with your own life."
The serious matter dealt with, you offer to let him stay and help you with the various edicts that need to be signed for the docks to be built. You share an hour or so in mutual agony, before he has to return to his other duties.
A letter arrives from Polybia. She continues to have some difficulty getting Nestopheles to actually commit to anything. She is beginning to believe he is mostly uncaring of the consequences of his words or when breaking his promises.
Megara is still pregnant (Expected Delivery: Turn 7)

Diplomacy - ?-3
Martial - 6+?
Stewardship - ?
Intrigue - 5+?
Learning - ?-2 Opinion of you: (? of 10) Nestopheles is untrustworthy and irrational at best. The best you can hope for is that he likes you enough not to act against you, because you can't trust him to help in your time of need.
Scouting Report (Grimm): Hunting Packs (Size 3/10) - The grimm are small in number, and the relative safety of the countryside may attract new tenents.
River Docks I: The docks are still under construction, but when they are complete they will provide new opportunities! 1/4 Progress (+6 Triremes, +1 Lien/Turn)
Well, barring more fires to put out, my early thoughts on next turn are...
Marshal+Huntsman - No change, get Grimm down to 2
Steward, Teller - No change, keep pushing towards discrete tech improvement
Spymaster - No change, get network developed more there
Diplomat - Move to improving with Agamedes, we've gotten enough work done with Nestopheles
Just a bit of a late warning, I've been engaged in job negotiation for the past week or so, and I've managed to get it. Maybe another week or so's hiatus while I acclimate to a full time work schedule, but I'll be back after.

Nice man, get things sorted on your end. We can wait while longer, sides' time without updates is time we can plan to take over Mystral. Seriously though, Good luck.
Time marches on as your grow your realm, and things are rather quiet.
The Grimm are famously low in past months, but they are still cropping up like weeds across the realm. You've reduced the danger of grimm, but the still-wavering public is forming more with their generally low mood.

I would have wanted to start studying the Dust crystal we have, but improving our diplo is more important. Only way my plan differs from Spectrum's tentative plan is that Gnostras is improving religious relations instead of encouraging cultural events, to hopefully lower the religious tensions between Progenitorists and Scions and raise our realm's morale.
Edit.
Changed Spymaster action to Scheme to counter the assassination attempts.
