Animus Ex Nihilo - A God Quest

[X] Reject the proposal. The Sky Child will have to find another niche for itself.

Do we actually have a plan here for what we want this relationship to look like or how we intend to grow moving forward now that we lack weather? I know the general idea is to lean harder into death and maybe start exploring the sea (finally!) but what about beyond that?

My current idea is to focus on Sea, Death and Creatures (specifically divine servants/constructs)

We don't and won't lack weather (there are a lot of weather phenomena that only really happen out at sea); we would just be letting the Sky Child find a niche we weren't heavily exploiting to pick up the slack. As a patron of the Nomads it likely has much more experience with land based blessings while we've been almost solely focused on the Sea; I'm not seeing too many points where our niches overlap in a negative way.

On another note, seriously people, are you just going to reject the land?
I hear you all talking about domains, well there's one for the taking! Blessin's and all.
Even this update made mention of the fact that the land and forests have been disregarded in favor of the fish, and if that isn't a hint to try expanding their and exerting some control then I may not know what is.
How well could we do that? Were of the Sea, obtaining a domain over the land and plants seems at odds with the Sea.
But it'd be powerful to be a God over both Land and Sea.
Maybe it'll combine into some kind of Water tending Life God/dess?

Honestly, if you're going for that I'd think you would also want to do the 'Heal the People' action.

Aim for the Life and Death, as well as The Sea.

[X] Agree to the proposal. Leave the sky to the Sky Child.

It isn't unreasonable to have multiple gods of the same thing. It's probably inadvisable. So far, godly powers seem to be very local, and that still means that gods can have the same domains and not be in conflict.

Though, I'm more inclined to claim Land domains than Sky domains.

Sure, you get the sky, you scared goose.

'No, no. Not the mountains. The Harsh Mountain. So they call him at least.' The spirit moved around you restlessly, his power calling more wind through the crowns of the oaks and beeches. 'As for me, I would rather call it The Wroth One for how unpleasant it is to be around. Throwing rocks at me every time I visit and such.'
The Harsh Mountain is refered to with both him and it in this update, so I'm wondering if they might be in the process of nailing down their appearence at the moment.

Given that I'm preferring afterlife/Death domain for secondary domain i have nothing against Sky child claiming sky.

If you enter the agreement, you will be bound by your Nature to no longer take sky related activities. That rules out any weather related actions.

Damnit Rayquaza, stop coming in here with your Air Lock and stopping our Drizzle.

Not changing my vote because giving up control is still the right call for everybody, but I reserve the right to be grumpy about it!

we want this domain

So what's the omake policies round here?

Also, dang it. We can't snag Sky domains anymore. We should definite get Land domains soon. That would help us be relevant in peoples farther inland.

We should try to expand to a more general water domain. If we can claim the rivers and general freshwater we should be okay even if our people spread inland.

We can still be the God of the life within water , add that with our afterlife rituals and we might be God of Rebirth/reincarnation down the line. If we are aiming for that life/death theme that is.

With this being a trickster-like spirit there may be problems later on. It may also be a good idea to talk to the mountain to see if the spirit is telling the truth or not, but in the end i believe that it is closest to our nature to agree to the proposal. If it turns out that sky child was lying however, we should throw him out.

>God of Sea
>Also god of Death
>Also with animal Divine creatures
>Also with a "sky" domain pantheon-bro

This is the fucking Merling King all over again, ain't it?

You can take Azel out of DP's quest, but you can't take DP's quest out of Azel.

I'm more reminded of Ikomi, though I think Azel has never been in that quest.
