Animus Ex Nihilo - A God Quest

I wanted the sky as a secondary domain >.<
[X] Reject the proposal. The Sky Child will have to find another niche for itself.

This seems like a good deal for us, and a nice show of goodwill, but I still think some skepticism should be applied.
What other motives could he have, besides wanting an alliance? He says he seeks refuge from an enemy, and while that's all well and good how do we know that he's not planning a betrayal of sorts later? Or once he sees a better ally, he leaves us? I'm not saying he would, but I think we should think on the offer a little.

Guess we are leaning into the death domain then. It could fit, after all the oceans are deep. Could work as a form of afterlife.

I think it honestly just wants to survive. The nomad way of life that created him seems to be disappearing and the mountain god is an asshole so the only other option he has is us.

He is too weak to plan anything right now so I would not worry right now.

I wonder if we can "drain" other spirits, absorbing their power and perhaps even some of their Domain?

The beginnings of a pantheon is good in my opinion, and sea and weather was always been to straightforward to me, we're working on a death domain, and maybe then going for some more humanity/society centric domain would be cool, instead of solely focusing on the natural world.

Mhm, mhm, that may be the case.
But if I were to guess, apart of the reason the nomad way of life is disappearing is indirectly due to some of Proud Water's actions (not to say that he's the sole or biggest cause). And I wouldn't call it too far-fetched for him to look for revenge, whether it's on the Mountain or Waters.
Of course, that's just speculation from evidence and context clues or somethin'.

I disagree with you. He's too weak to do anything, yep. But not to plan anything. Always worry for competition and uncertain allies, because that will most likely keep PS alive.

Well here it is ladies and gentleman, the first post that mentions cannibalism.
It probably is possible in some form if I had to guess. Maybe even through human means, like annexing a city where another person has their domain/major base at.

On another note, seriously people, are you just going to reject the land?
I hear you all talking about domains, well there's one for the taking! Blessin's and all.
Even this update made mention of the fact that the land and forests have been disregarded in favor of the fish, and if that isn't a hint to try expanding their and exerting some control then I may not know what is.

This is the start of the pantheon with caring but stern daddy Proud Waters, the mischievous Sky child and the grumpy grandfather Mountain.

I think this turn we should focus on exploring the sea. Our people are thinking of expanding and we can't even see what's there.

More like asshole grandfather Mountain, but yeah.

I brought up the idea of devouring this spirit when we first met it to which the response was "it is not in your Nature" so I would speculate that if we had enough punishing in our nature we could probably do this.

I want the weather domain, and we've already invested some actions into it. We also still have no idea how anything works so I'm not willing to bet on a pantheon just being out, and out a good thing just yet.

From what we've seen the Sky Child is mischievous but ultimately not wrathful. It didn't seem upset at the fact that we are "stealing" worshipers from it in the form of the Nomads, and seems to be thus far actively helpful. It's likely coming to us for protection now and hoping we're a better alternative than the Mountain, but being self interested doesn't make it bad.

Weather is a multi-faceted thing and water sources does play a huge role with it so we can still snag the weather domain but even if we don't that's okay.

I don't really trust sky gods. Most are a-holes and flighty by nature. Also if we cede sky he could fuck with our future sailors and cause storms

[X] plan: it's only fair

[X] but ask for a shrine of our owe
