Blessing the shrine might help with this last bit. If we can get it so the shrine applies a blessing automatically it would save us an action as well as attract more worshippers since they can see our power in action. And, more power for us is good no matter what your aims are whether that be to be a paragon of peace and diplomacy who spends all their time making friends with other gods, a rather more punishing god who does as they please, or literally anything in between as more power means that not only can you do more of what you want but you can also enforce that nature upon the world around you as well even if that just means using your power to back up your diplomacy to help keep the peace between the gods.
I'd consider that a viable alternative to blessing the nomads this turn although I'd still prefer to bless them so we aren't gambling and then test this out next turn or something. Well, we're speaking of plans though I'd like to point out for your plan that the reason you're blessing the hunters doesn't make a whole ton of sense because they aren't doing any worse than they were before they're in fact doing better according to the update as a bunch of hunters quit to go be herders because it's an easier, and more productive job than being a hunter.Blessing the shrine might help with this last bit. Uh, the weather domain does things on land that's explicitly part of the reason I'm going for it, it simply being the one we're closest to gaining, and also being synergistic with our sea domain are just the cherries on top.People do realise that if we don't take the Healing or Hunter Blessing options soon, they're going to disappear right? Because the Priests are going to work out that 'we don't offer those blessings' thus cutting us off from access to any Domain that does things on the land... At least without putting a LOT of effort into it.
Maybe, but especially for a coastal community, it's more associated with the winds coming from the sea than it is with the land. So whilst it would give us something that can affect the land, it's not something of the land.Uh, the weather domain does things on land that's explicitly part of the reason I'm going for it, it simply being the one we're closest to gaining, and also being synergistic with our sea domain are just the cherries on top.
Why does that matter? We just need the domain to get the improved impact from power spent on weather related actions so each individual group of worshipers can view that domain how ever they want it won't actually have any real game play effects so long as they acknowledge that we control the weather. Also, I'm converting the nomads this turn anyways I'd note who are going to have a land based lens on things so even if we do have some reason to worry about how we're viewed we're about to have a land based people worshipping us which fixes what ever problem you seem to be thinking of.Maybe, but especially for a coastal community, it's more associated with the winds coming from the sea than it is with the land. I agree on the weather aspect. We need that since it's one of the few that all people of all walks of life will look to appease.I'd also argue that the weather is a far more attractive domain to the average group than hunting as hunting even for the nomads isn't their main source of food, and doesn't decide if they fall on hard times or not what decides that is the weather through harsh winters, and the like. So, if we're actually worried about having in land appeal either a weather or healing domain are the ways to go due to their mass appeal not hunting which even now is falling out of favor compared to other jobs.
