Genuinely one of the best Worm fics to ever grace the Fandom. Seriously all my friends shout in joy when a update hits and you have created one of the most unique and interesting OC and characterization.
Oh no, not Uglymugzarinthel said:Vista deceased, CD-5. Challenger down, CD-5. Night deceased, CD-5. Stormtiger down, CD-5. Uglymug deceased, CD-5...
The amount of trauma crashing into trauma here is really incredible. I don't even know if James is referring to Brockton or Giselle herself as faerie gold - the thing that's only real when it disappears."It's dark," Giselle murmurs, plaintive. "James, why is it always dark?" She doesn't like the dark, she hates the dark, she hates the smell of blood, hates being locked in with the monsters, hates being locked out.
"It's just staging," James says. "They'll brighten it soon, so Undine can dance with her shadow."
He makes a leap, covering more ground, but when he lands Giselle's feet are back in the water.
"You have to listen to me," Giselle says. "I've never had anyone who has to listen to me before."
...
"Faerie gold," James says, and he laughs and laughs.
I thought it was the fact that he's so afraid of her, then for a moment there was a chance he could kill her and be free, only for Eidolon to show up and steal the chance. The amount of trauma crashing into trauma here is really incredible. I don't even know if James is referring to Brockton or Giselle herself as faerie gold - the thing that's only real when it disappears.
I have to say that this is easily one of my favourite Worm fics ever
Goddamn, the Nine are here already? And I was very curious as to how the Leviathan fight would play out and how Giselle's power would interact with it. Now I know, and Giselle has become a major piece on the chessboard.
The dialogues are awesome, as ever. I don't know how every chapter keeps being a 10/10.
(I wonder if Giselle will be a natural counter to Bonesaw. Bonesaw creations might be super complex biological machines, but the more complex they are, the more stress points, potential weaknesses, and opportunities for explosive disruption. Giselle might be able to influence them more easily than any natural body).
