Just a heads up, I'll be celebrating my grandmother's 70th birthday at Mount Vernon tomorrow. So, I might be out of reach for a while tomorrow.

So let's say we lose no characters and take roughly a thousand dead we have 9,000 now blooded Legionaries remaining for our first set of compliances.

Tyrian will obviously be sent with a big chunk of the Legion to end a big threat or secure something valuable. I believe we can then safely send Ohrmunzd with only a few thousand to negotiate a compliance of an HVT. Then with the rest we can try for a third compliance under Aventus or use them to reinforce another Legion who is doing a compliance that needs help and one we deem valuable.

I think we can fairly easily swing two HVTs this phase, maybe three if Aventus is as good as I think he is.

There were only around 2000 marines on the flagship before this all went down. The rest were spread across the rest of the fleet.

Alright, just to see what people's answers will be.
1. Predictions on how the 41st will be, best case and worst case scenario(close to canon).
2. What kind of status will Tyrian be held in? Either alive or dead.
3. How you think Tyrian would play on the tabletop.

Note, I ask this out of curiosity. I also find hearing people ideas and points of view fun. It's why I enjoy player reviews and interpretations in quests and fanfics. Which I will reward if people do.

1 Best Case the thousand sons successor chapter watch the human webway and fight demons, providing support for the Imperium. Psykers while dangerous do not have the same pariah status as cannon.
Worst case Tyrian leads the dark crusade after killing Abbadon for being such a failure. Meaning that the Imperium has to face a chaos Tyrian.
2 he will be held in reverend glory or hated beyond belief. He is the Emperor true son chosen by him.
3 Tyrian would be OP and only allowed to act in special cases so as not to break the game.

Here's the reasonable case that I'm operating under. The legions are intact, but the Emperor and Primarchs are busy not leading the Imperium. Slightly fewer Legions fall to Chaos Magnus being the obvious example.

I don't see him dying bar having to duel the inevitable Arch Heretic in the Emperor's stead. So I figure he will be alive and in the Imperium acting as A Champion Eternal.

He is most vulnerable to getting shot off the table, other than that contact means obliteration for the unit.

Thank you for the honest answers.

Is he really that dangerous with the stats I gave him for his tabletop version? I don't really play it so I only have a basic understanding of what the stats mean. I'm mostly in it for the other mediums and the lore. Plus my first introduction to the universe was 1d4chan years ago, back when the transition to 5th edition was still happening. Haven't kept up with the changes.

I'll do as much as I can and feel comfortable with. I'm glad to help but I always viewed the GM in any quest as god and therefor a sin to tell them how to run their game. ;)

Since you requested it though I'll do my best to give whatever insight I can and frequently post short term and long term goals.

I'll appreciate it, it's always nice to hear how players are interpreting what I post.

Hmmm Tyrian would be one of the top 20 and by that I mean in the galaxy. If his powers manifest the wya you have hinted than top 5. Really the only people stronger than him is the first Thunder warrior, Valdor the most golden Custodeds, a couple of primarchs and Emperor. Maybe the exalted greater demons of a chaos god, but again his powers manifest would make him dangerous. Of course I have not played the tabletop in like 8 years so take what I have to say with a grain of salt.

Speaking of which I was wondering, is Aventus a "billions of contingencies" guy? Because that's the vibe I'm getting.

As First Captain he must be pretty good.
If he was part of a corporation he would be that CEO's assistant that always has a fresh cup of coffee for the boss, has everything alphabetized down to lunch receipts, and has at least half of the company's books memorized at any given time, plus mentally updating them as things change. And is who the CEO trusts to run the company while he's either stoned out of his mind on his office couch or is busy nailing one of the stockholders wives.

He's that kind of guy.

So I can trust him to lead a compliance action. Wonderful.

So what I hope is we start splitting our compliance forces up into three prongs. Tyrian almost always will lead the bulk towards the most threatening and or valuable compliance. Ohrzmund leads a comparitably small force to compliances we want to take intact, telepathy will make this easier. And finally Aventus serves as the flex for middle tier negotiations and middle tier warfare. Situations that don't necessarily demand the presence of Tyrian or Ohrzmund.

Aventus is the guy you send to make sure compliances remain on track and supplied, or making sure conquered worlds are brought up to a state where the devastation has been repaired.

Ohrmuzd (provided he gets proper diplomacy training and experience) is the guy you send when you want people to willingly join the Imperium.

Tyrian is who you send when words don't work and you don't particularly care what state the planet is left in. (ie. before Aventus gets there)

I'm wondering, does anyone think some of the Primarchs are lost causes? I mean I can see us saving Angron if Magnus and Tyrian are there for his discovery. I'm unsure about Lorgar due to worst Kor Phaeron, Cruze might be able to be stabilized. Maybe.

That leaves us Pertuabo who I believe can be salvaged, Mortarian who will hate us for the Psykers, Alpharius is Alpharius, Horus simply needs to not be stabbed and his daddy issues addressed. Magnus is hopefully on lockdown loyalty wise. Especially if we fix the flesh change and deny Tzeentch with his initial in with Magnus.

1. If we fail to prevent Magnus from destroying the Human Webway, we suck. If it is not destroyed... oh my, that changes everything. During the Heresy, loyalists would have far greater strategic mobility, Emps would not order Magnus brought to him (for Horus to twist into killing him)... even if Emps gets wounded like in canon, so long as Magnus does not fall or die he can take care of the Astronomican so that Emps could recover, maybe even continue Webways construction...

Human Webway is pretty much Imperiums win condition.

Huh, a lot hinges on Magnus it seems. We will also be of great help against the traitor Primarchs, and really really should try to be present on Terra so that we can kill Horus and hopefully save Sanguinius and maybe Emps.

Can't think of a worst case scenario worse than canon, so long as Tyrian does not fall. Which he will not of course.

2. Status... depends on a lot. A legend if he dies, for sure, second only to Primarchs and Malcador (and Emps but that goes without saying), but if he lives...

Hard to say. Depends on what happens exactly.

3. Never played.

Even if we somehow lose the webway a loyal Magnus can still be a win condition. He could power the astronomicon while the Emperor heals if it comes down to it.
