how effective is out N-corp team here given the negative coins and sanity mechnics to fight sanity mechanics?
Well, N Corp only has a single negative coin ID, with a notable exception: N Corp Meursault can regularly solo just about anything he can survive through the power of
FOOLISHNESS! Literally, that's the name of his counterattack that has 15 base with a -5 coin, and grants [Combat Start] 1 Protection, uncapped! As a solo Meursault begins to build up more coin slots he can eventually be reducing all damage by
90%, as his 4 Wrath Resonance Passive '
Obsessive Hammer' gives him +3 more Protection, 1 Fanatic, 1 Attack Power Up, and
one negative status effect cleanse*! Also, cleanse aside, counterattacks don't even proc bleed.
*- Cleanses are insanely rare in Limbus so far and mostly appear on Meursault-related items so I want to call special attention to that.
But yeah N Corp can actually work very well for countering all of this, since you also (
potentially) have Kromer-Faust's 'Whistles' passive to offset the SP losses, NClair for slamming on the 'I WANT to lose SP' button, and the Großhammer soaking all the hits nobody else wants.
I wouldn't so much say that Rodya's stuff lacked resolution as a consequence of Canto 2 having a bunch of wacky shit, I think that it was just what they were always planning on doing with her.
So a notable thing that is now out of spoiler territory helps confirm this, IMO. If you go back and listen to the end credits song, Sarajinae / Pass On, for these Canto? The versions we've heard so far (for
Gregor,
Rodion, and
Sinclair) all share one very weird trait: The last few notes of the song are not played by instruments normally. They have been
replayed backwards from a separate recording, the notes and audio clearly reversed.
Instead of closing the musical phrase being played (
usually referred to as 'resolving' it), this leaves it open and awkward and strange, as if something is spoiled or twisted. Because of this, I'm 99.9% certain that Project Moon is signalling that none of these character arcs are properly resolved either. We'll have to see how the song is treated in future Cantos to make comparisons as-needed!
