Volume 1 - And Then, There Were Ten: Part 4
This doesn't look so good, but you already tried everything you could. You should get back to the camp. You dread to think what Grandpa Max will do once he discovers that you've packed yourself into something like this! What kind of idiot do you have to be to approach a green... wait.

That's right. You didn't do anything at all. That thing jumped on your wrist on its own! That's exactly what happened.

***

"That's weird," Max says, "but I believe you, Melissa."

Yes. YES! YES!!! Victory.

Glenn looks at you suspiciously. "So it fell from the sky?"

"Yeah," you confirm.

Max' thumb and index finger clutch his chin. "I'll go check it out. Glenn, make sure Melissa stays here."

Grandpa Max takes a flashlight and leaves the camp, going in the same direction that you walked down when you came back. Glenn looks at the watch, observing it. After a while, he looks up at you. "Any idea what it does? Doesn't seem to count time."

You nod wordlessly. Glenn's right. Whatever this thing was made for, it sure isn't counting time. You raise your left forearm to your midriff's level and examine the device again. It seems that the watch has a green button on it. You look up at Glenn. He looks back at you. HIs eyes aren't very confident, but somehow, with just a look, he communicates that you should try it, just to see what the thing on your wrist does.

You gently tap the green button. The cylinder in the middle jumps outward with a sci-fi tech sound, and the green hourglass shape in it transforms into a diamond-shape, releasing small amounts of light. "Whoa," you move your right hand back, hesitating to do anything else.

On the diamond, there is a black shape. It looks similar to a... worm? Yeah, it kind of does. You rotate the cylinder. The shape changes to a tall humanoid with faded edges. You rotate it again. It turns into a rough, stubby, humanoid shape, like someone built from rock. Rotate it again. You see a bizarre shape that looks almost like a fairy. Rotate it again. You see a... weird, short thing with horns.

"It looks like an imp," Glenn points out.

"What's an imp?" you ask.

"A type of lesser demon."

Him and his nerd-talk. You rotate it a few more times, seeing a variety of shapes: a very tall; bearded man, a huge bird with large claws, a six-limbed creature with a tail, a little man with a big head, and a creature with five; tentacular appendages instead of legs.

Select Shape:

[] Worm.
[] Humanoid with faded edges.
[] Rough, stubby humanoid, built from rock.
[] Fairy-like creature.
[] Imp.
[] Tall, bearded man.
[] Huge bird with claws.
[] Six-limbed creature with a tail.
[] Little man with a big head.
[] Creature with five tentacles instead of legs.

[X] Fairy-like creature.

Oh the incredible irony.:V But seriously, the fairy is one of ben's most terrifying aliens.

Let's play the guessing game.

[] Worm.

Our Wildmutt analogue? Probably some graboid tunneler like thing.

[] Humanoid with faded edges.

'faded edges', either some kind of shadow alien because things are faded away. Or maybe its Diamondhead or Chromastone.

[] Rough, stubby humanoid, built from rock.

Definitely not a canon rock alien.

[] Fairy-like creature.

Pesky Dust, or something else.

[] Imp.

Most likely Jury Rigg.

[] Tall, bearded man.

Some kind of wizard alien?

[] Huge bird with claws.

Seems to be our flier.

[] Six-limbed creature with a tail.

Can't think of an analogue.

[] Little man with a big head.

Grey Matter?

[] Creature with five tentacles instead of legs.

A water aligned alien?

[] Six-limbed creature with a tail.

[X] I wanna try out this one first. Seems to at least look varied and versatile.

My only disappointment in this, is that we don't have an appoplexian in the set.:V

Volume 1 - And Then, There Were Ten: Part 5
You keep rotating. "Eeny... meeny... mini... er..." You stop at the fairy-like thing. "You?"

You press the cylindrical button. Green flashes everywhere. You feel a tingly sensation all over your body. Your bones drag out. Your flesh spreads across your body with them. You feel two holes open on the place under your eyes. You can feel your skull changing shape. You feel all of it, and before a second passes the green light is gone and you are someone else.

You are slightly taller, at roughly 175 centimeters tall. You look down, to see that you have mint-colored skin and... wait, what's with your vision? You look to your right, at the Rust Bucket. You see your reflection in the window and you instantly scream, falling down.

Once you realize the monster you saw was, in fact, you, you calm down and get up, then get a closer look.

You have green hair, and it's... made out of algae, or some other kind of vines. You also have four eyes, with all of them being vaguely human, but smaller and all of black color. Your skin is a light, mint shade. Your fingernails are somewhat longer. You're also not wearing anything on your feet, but you appear to have a dress made from some kind of green, tough leaves, complete with a ribbon in the same white-black color that your clothing has. You turn around to get a look at your back.

You see the hourglass-shaped symbol of the watch on your back, with a quartet of transparent, pink wings, much like those of a bug, or, as the shape and appearance of this form suggests, fairy wings.

You look at your hands again. Then, you realize Glenn is still behind you. You look up at where he should be, only to find that he is hiding behind the table and holding onto a large branch, which he appears to have chosen as a self-defense implement.

"Drop the spear, Dull McPlain!" you order.

"What the heck's happened to you?" he yells back at you, not taking a step forward nor dropping his weapon. He looks more angry than afraid.

"What the heck's happened to me? What's happened to you? Scared of..." You look down at your body. You pause for a second, thinking of a proper term. "... whatever I am?"

"I always figured you were a freak, but never to this extent!"

You scowl, growling in anger. Suddenly, the tree he's standing under hits him. Or rather, the branch hits him.

You calm down. "What?"

As Glenn recoils from the hit, on the ground, with a huge red line across his face, you smirk. You twiddle your fingers, causing several pine-cones to fall on top of his forehead. He stands up, while you laugh.

"You think this is funny?"

"Yeah, I think it's hilarious!"

You look at the Rust Bucket's window again. It seems this watch lets you turn into some kind of nymph creature. Or, wait. Are those other shapes other creatures you can turn into? That's awesome! But, you should find names for them as to not confuse them.

Name this alien:
[] Write-in.

You look back at Glenn.

"Any idea when grandpa might come back? We should proooobably tell him about this discovery."

"Just be patient, and try not to cause an imbalance in the local eco-system, thank you very much."

[] Go to look for Grandpa Max on your own.
[] Stay with Dull McPlain and try to figure out what else this girlie can do. Plant manipulation seems to be one thing.
