This doesn't look so good, but you already tried everything you could. You should get back to the camp. You dread to think what Grandpa Max will do once he discovers that you've packed yourself into something like this! What kind of idiot do you have to be to approach a green... wait.
That's right. You didn't do anything at all. That thing jumped on your wrist on its own! That's exactly what happened.

"That's weird," Max says, "but I believe you, Melissa."
Yes. YES! YES!!! Victory.
Glenn looks at you suspiciously. "So it fell from the sky?"
"Yeah," you confirm.
Max' thumb and index finger clutch his chin. "I'll go check it out. Glenn, make sure Melissa stays here."
Grandpa Max takes a flashlight and leaves the camp, going in the same direction that you walked down when you came back. Glenn looks at the watch, observing it. After a while, he looks up at you. "Any idea what it does? Doesn't seem to count time."
You nod wordlessly. Glenn's right. Whatever this thing was made for, it sure isn't counting time. You raise your left forearm to your midriff's level and examine the device again. It seems that the watch has a green button on it. You look up at Glenn. He looks back at you. HIs eyes aren't very confident, but somehow, with just a look, he communicates that you should try it, just to see what the thing on your wrist does.
You gently tap the green button. The cylinder in the middle jumps outward with a sci-fi tech sound, and the green hourglass shape in it transforms into a diamond-shape, releasing small amounts of light. "Whoa," you move your right hand back, hesitating to do anything else.
On the diamond, there is a black shape. It looks similar to a... worm? Yeah, it kind of does. You rotate the cylinder. The shape changes to a tall humanoid with faded edges. You rotate it again. It turns into a rough, stubby, humanoid shape, like someone built from rock. Rotate it again. You see a bizarre shape that looks almost like a fairy. Rotate it again. You see a... weird, short thing with horns.
"It looks like an imp," Glenn points out.
"What's an imp?" you ask.
"A type of lesser demon."
Him and his nerd-talk. You rotate it a few more times, seeing a variety of shapes: a very tall; bearded man, a huge bird with large claws, a six-limbed creature with a tail, a little man with a big head, and a creature with five; tentacular appendages instead of legs.
