Given that this seems to be happening on both sides I wonder what Armsmaster and Miss Militia's real odds are.RCa said:Pretty sure a lot of people are voting for the OCs to stop Vista winning and would happily switch across.

Well, if you really wanted to duplicate parahumans there's always the Bonesaw Solution.Esbilon said:Mmmm, possible, but I don't find it likely tbh. It would certainly be the first time it was attempted ever. From a pure balance pov, I don't think Grom would let us duplicate parahumans like that.
This is a joke btw, in case somebody really takes it seriously. Because even if we reform Bonesaw she's so completely not a candidate.Esbilon said:True! Quick, let's drop all the previous votes and recruit her!
I don't think this is a valid stunt. Too close to the Crater, making it inimical to Armsmaster/MM.Arbit said:-[] Stunt: You knew the wasteland around the Crater would be bleak, a tragic mockery of your former home. You didn't know it would be windy, but a merciless gale blows through it. Cockroaches crawl around you as you sit, overlooking the boiling waters, and tell Miss Militia and Armsmaster what you are, and what they can become.
Not sure if comfortable about Bonesaw being Vat Attendant, I mean her abilities work for it, but *shivers*.Esbilon said:Mmmm, true. If we Exalt her, she won't be able to build more Exalts for us, that's hard-wired into the construction process.
The crater is pretty big I think, maybe it's possible to do so from a safe distance?RCa said:I don't think this is a valid stunt. Too close to the Crater, making it inimical to Armsmaster/MM.
The water being still boiling, and convection being a thing, it'd be lethal for anything that needs to breath or can't survive boiling water immersion.Arbit said:The crater is pretty big I think, maybe it's possible to do so from a safe distance?
But yeah you are probably right.
We also lose the slot for good. A max of 4 other Alchemicals from that point.sainen said:Unsuccessfully exalting someone just gives them an Essence-based soul, they don't die.
And we waste a slot in our Assembly.sainen said:Unsuccessfully exalting someone just gives them an Essence-based soul, they don't die.
PR backlash would likely cap our Assembly at us and maybe Missy then. It's not remotely worth the risk veekie.veekie said:Fortunately Missy is, going by what we know of her, pretty much a perfect candidate, PR aside.
Direct links with Cauldron are to be avoided at this juncture, imo.veekie said:PR backlash isn't permanent, especially with Cauldron interested in more of us.
Qualification problem. It's been hashed out that she lacks heroic willpower(or the caste criterion for the matter), since she just follows her power's instructions.Romv said:Wouldn't an Exalted Contessa be the answer to all of Autochthon's hopes and dreams?
Also that, I'm speaking in terms of the long view though. Not to mention PtV is going to be getting the biggest of all headaches whenver Essence applies. All her Paths go haywire, and she'd never regain the precision if she goes Essence.Klaus said:No, it absolutely has not. She isn't a candidate because we don't know she exists.
Legally though, they can make their own decisions regarding their welfare. Vista cannot.impyclyne said:He answers to his own boss as well, and taking out one of his own staff is a lot worse than taking out Vista, who won't even be there if not for following us to begin with.
That's just not true.veekie said:Qualification problem. It's been hashed out that she lacks heroic willpower(or the caste criterion for the matter), since she just follows her power's instructions.
There are perfect forms of Essence based precognition out there. Alchemicals even have one that's like a very special purpose limited version of Path to Victory that can only be used to prevent soldiers under your command dying. They're just generally limited. Similarly, SoPA is horrendously broken for an Exalted charm.veekie said:Also that, I'm speaking in terms of the long view though.
