Alchemical Solutions [Worm/Exalted] Thread 11: Kilning Kaleidoscopic, Kerygmatic Kindred

Mmmm, possible, but I don't find it likely tbh. It would certainly be the first time it was attempted ever. From a pure balance pov, I don't think Grom would let us duplicate parahumans like that.
Well, if you really wanted to duplicate parahumans there's always the Bonesaw Solution. :p

I reworked this stunt a little bit:
-[] Stunt: The tent city is a pale shadow of Brockton Bay, but despite this, there is hope. The sun is shining through the remains of the ash could, and children are playing in the streets. Overlooking all this, you sit smiling faintly on a lone hill with Miss Militia and Armsmaster, surreptiously using your Power to keep the newly-returned bugs away.

The change is streets into tent city.

-[] Stunt: You knew the wasteland around the Crater would be bleak, a tragic mockery of your former home. You didn't know it would be windy, but a merciless gale blows through it. Cockroaches crawl around you as you sit, overlooking the boiling waters, and tell Miss Militia and Armsmaster what you are, and what they can become.
I don't think this is a valid stunt. Too close to the Crater, making it inimical to Armsmaster/MM.

The crater is pretty big I think, maybe it's possible to do so from a safe distance?
But yeah you are probably right.
The water being still boiling, and convection being a thing, it'd be lethal for anything that needs to breath or can't survive boiling water immersion.

[X] Peer Pressuring: Talk to a Ward. Visitors possible. Stunt chooses target, sets scene.
-[X] Stunt: At the event you learn that Glenn has been expanding his efforts further into merchandising. You take the Twins and Missy, casually raising the dismal state of their lodgings in conversation as you go through the goods, studying the enormous bed someone must have brought in as a joke. "Do you have a size limit to what you can carry?"

[X] Ruinous Ruminations: Pop on over to Kyushu and meditate. Stunt chooses focus (SoPA, anything else) and sets scene.
-[X] Stunt: Bearing a meal, you seek out Colin and Hannah in the refugee camp, just before your meditation, "I have some questions about powers, I just learned a few things about mine recently, and want to study them further. Are you free to help me compare notes about your life before and after your trigger event?"

[X] The Maker Wants YOU!: Interview and/or attempt to recruit someone for exaltation. Movers can be utilized to go anywhere in the world for this. Stunt chooses target, interview angle/pitch spin, and if anyone extra is with you.
-[X] Stunt: You approach Missy after a hard day patroling, a large bowl of salad in one hand and Iris's notes in the other, as you prepare to tell her about your Exalted condition, and to get her thoughts on her, or others becoming more like you, "Missy, there's something I need to tell you. Can you make us private?"

[X] Free Action: With Dragon on the case with regards to assessing candidates through PRT records, you set SoPA to exploring other avenues of research through the internet. Knowing both their identities is a great help as you pick through newspaper archives, school records and official documents, building up a clearer picture of your fellow heroes behind their public personas.

[X] 2 XP - Craft (Soulgems ●○○)
[X] 3 XP - Ally (Dragon) ●●●○○
[X] 3 BP - Intelligence ●●●●●○

zhangww, impyclyne.. are you real? You exist since Sunday and have in sum 22 posts (all of those in BROB?).

Successfully exalting Missy will get us publically excommunicated.
Just people realizing that we tried will have them question our sanity.
Unsuccessfully exalting Missy.. ho boy.

Given the Triumvirate interest in us, and Saint sending them what we talked about, I don't think it can be avoided. Though I definitely don't suggest initiating contact. Let them make the moves on their own initiative.

sry about that impyclyne.

It's just, from the PRT view they have to make sure the wards are safe, sound and happy for parents to be alright for future wards to join up.
Now having one ward turn another ward into a robot (that leaves behind a corpse for a week!) via some "untested" method is something the PRT absolutely has to condemn.
Just look at how conservative they are with Tinkertech, but this goes way way beyond!

edit: ah, so we know immediatly if exalting is a no go? but if it works our target is still gonna die.

Wouldn't an Exalted Contessa be the answer to all of Autochthon's hopes and dreams?
Qualification problem. It's been hashed out that she lacks heroic willpower(or the caste criterion for the matter), since she just follows her power's instructions.

No, it absolutely has not. She isn't a candidate because we don't know she exists.
Also that, I'm speaking in terms of the long view though. Not to mention PtV is going to be getting the biggest of all headaches whenver Essence applies. All her Paths go haywire, and she'd never regain the precision if she goes Essence.

Could someone explain why exalting Missy is a good idea, besides that she's likely to exalt and that she's not an OC?

That's just not true.

There are perfect forms of Essence based precognition out there. Alchemicals even have one that's like a very special purpose limited version of Path to Victory that can only be used to prevent soldiers under your command dying. They're just generally limited. Similarly, SoPA is horrendously broken for an Exalted charm.

- Vista
Available
-For assessment Yes, always available
-For conversion Yes, has no major responsibilities which would be badly affected by being gone for a week
-For cooperation Yes, no current or upcoming missions or goals which would interfere
Broken Yes. Went through one divorce, followed by total loss of parents. Canon indicates fatalistic, but not suicidal worldview.
Cooperate Yes, goes both ways, as she's our closest friend and vice versa
Agree Probably, she has complete trust in us, and canon indicates that she considers dying for a good cause to be worthwhile.
Position Neutral, She doesn't have an attention grabbing high rank, and her conversion would not attract more than local interest(aside from Saint/Cauldron who're watching all the time), but she's underaged, which would make some waves.
Image Positive, she's good at projecting a good image, and has no negative behaviors which may impact perception of Alchemicals
Combat Positive, Shaker 9, and the most experienced Ward with us. Willing and capable of tangling with Hookwolf in the past, while also capable of tactical thinking and creative power application.
Mental Neutral. Not notably brilliant or impaired, but quite good at thinking on her feet in a fight to throw the unexpected.
Social Positive. Quite good at making friends, and apparently the mastermind of all that shipping.
Powers Positive, large scale spatial manipulation powers don't normally become available to Alchemicals, and cannoty be duplicated by existing charms.
Personality Positive, Not easily deterred, even by the initial out of control terror effects(noting that she came to check on us during our first meditation despite her fear)
Issues Age, Fatalism.
Qualifying Castes
-Orichalcum No indication
-Moonsilver Creative and adaptable to be certain, especially with no direct offensive powers, she still remains a frontline Ward.
-Jade Self sacrificing, endures pain and injury for others. Linked to fatalistic outlook.
-Starmetal No indication
-Adamant No indications
Complications Young age.
