-[x] The Sun is said to be the source of Firebending– If you pay attention as you have been, recently, you can feel your Chi rise and set with the sun. You find yourself looking close and in looking closer, notice you can feel the texture of your Chi change throughout the cycle of The Sun. You are more intimately bound to the succession of day to night and night to day than you realize– look inside and ask yourself, what does the Dawnlight Sun feel like? The Noonday? Dusklight? The Sleeping Sun, slumbering beneath the horizon? Are they just...unimportant positions of the sun like you were taught or do they have greater meaning? A...spiritual definition? If you could make your Chi more akin to those Positions of The Sun, does that change how your fire is expressed? How *You* feel, channeling it? Try, and find out.

I think that this is an interesting concept that I'd love to see more fleshed out as something of a "best start". Maybe later we can kinda bridge that with Shuji's start as a mountaineer/climber, like something that you learn in meteorology, wind (and by extension, all weather) is created by the uneven heating of the Earth's surface, something he's likely to have noticed but hasn't figured out to apply as of yet. Also, Sun Breathing here we come.

Hm. So, focusing on the destructive power would get us something like the combustion bending we see from that one assassin probably. Shape of the flame sounds like it might lead into illusions which is interesting. Lightbending for invisibility and blinding light flashes and maybe lasers eventually. Hm.

[X] Focus on learning to bend light without heat. Ask Aang about how airbending works, maybe it will give you inspiration on how to manipulate the light that surrounds you.

I won't be upset if the sun spirituality vote wins, but I want lightbending lol.

[x] In your confrontation with Zuko and Iroh, you released your chi when your chakra-coils were overcharged and released an explosion along your arm. You are aware that you can manipulate your chi through air to manipulate fire that you are not touching and have done so in the past with a candle. Instead of releasing your chi as fire, attempt to keep the chi concentrated without flame while it moves through the air, then bring the element of fire back into the chi to create the over-charged explosive response at a distance

(IE: find a way to bend your chi up to your face to firebend out of your eyes)
Why stop at our eyes? That's so close to combustionbending I can taste it!

You know we could also take advantage of whatever bending discipline Aang is focusing on and learn to incorporate the other bending styles to our firebending.. while the benders are right in front of us. We implemented pacifist styles of airbending to unlock qi control in the air temple. We could study the swamp benders here and see what it unlocks for us.

I'm all for studying the sun states and our qi though. The idea sounds fascinating.. I'm particularly curious as to night time qi and what it means for us especially if we aren't focusing on destructive flame part of fire.

I really want to invent Hamon, but that is probably a more water bender thing.
