Typically the result of 'a high end HITMark versus werewolves' is "where exactly do I put all those Get of Fenris pelts? Anyone want a couple of throw-rugs?" Wolves are furry commando ninjas from hell, not like... diseased murder tanks.

Actually as @EarthScorpion has logically demonstrated, Hunters are all Solar Exalts reincarnated in the World of Darkness. Their low power levels are a consequence of several cycles of power creep after the Second Age. After all, Do is the Primordial Martial Art, and thus more powerful than a Sidereal Martial Art, but any random oWoD human can learn Do if taught, which means that even your average random mortal is now more powerful than most Exalts.

Also, Primium is made of a hybrid of two magical materials, orichalcum and moonsilver, but is not indestructible, meaning that combat power has escalated dramatically from the First Age where even WMDs couldn't harm magical materials.

Basically, Ventrue has always been "Bloodsucking upper class feeding off the protelariat" except literally. Back in the day they were the landed nobility, but they've kept up with the times.

Nowadays they're your corporate and political dynasty types. If the Bush or Kennedy families in the U.S.A. were vampires, they'd be Clan Ventrue.

Nooot so much in the OWoD because there you have Clan Tzimisce, Clan Tremere, the Setites, and the Baali all being things that exist and plumbing new depths of "Sweet Heaven that's messed up even by Vampire standards."
