Dragon will probably be amazed to know that we didn't even hesitate to give her access to her full and complete power even though we know what she was. She's self-concious about what people might think of her when they know she's an AI, and we leaped at the chance to make her even more powerful and awesome.

Hah!

I'm a bit wierded out by two quests on one thread. Maybe you should move it over to a different thread rather than clog this one up?

Says the one who's running two quests in the same thread...
That's fair. :p

That's true.

I would have, but it was voted that the two Taylors will be able to interact with each other eventually, so...

The things over there never terrified it more.

That's a neat Omake!

Except 682 isn't anywhere close to that hard to kill. 682 is like a weaker Crawler, with control over their adaptation. The Foundation's (completely effective) containment procedure is just to keep 682 in a vat of acid.

I'll still give you a reward tho - the real backstory of how QA got access to all the anomalies!

The important distinction is that 682 is physically incapable of staying dead. Literally reducing it to ashes is a temporary measure at best.
Crawler, though, requires that damage that he takes is not immediately lethal; yes, he can regenerate from near death and becomes more and more resilient per near death. This surpasses 682 in terms of not-dying. But when Crawler was cloned, the fresh Crawler died easily enough because he hadn't had a decade plus of building up resistances.
So each is a weaker iteration of the other. 682 is better at recovering after the fact, Crawler is better at preventing the fact.

You know the vote won't be counted if you write it like that right?

Another thing is 682 can take on the power of other SCPs, and he also has complete mastery over his body, it's not just resistance, watch the experiments with 173 and 999. 682 is way beyond Crawler's scope and if you read carefully the various reports and stories around 682 might have a biblical origin.

Abbadon pulled some bullshit by the way, Sting and Sting Variants, Time Line Exclusion enough kinetic force to crack a continent, even pulled out some 'Magic' that he managed to swipe from another host species (He isn't quite sure how it works, but he'll figure it out) and summoned some demons , didn't work by the way, damn things turned right back around and closed their portals as soon as they saw 682.

It was a very trying for him.

@Somdudewillson Perhaps you should threadmark the omake? Easier to find it that way when the thread will be much bigger.
682 can only imitate the effects of other SCPs while possessing parts of their organic matter, and even this has limitations.
Also, I noted the fact that 682 can direct its adaption.

In addition, a number of other SCPs are capable or probably capable of terminating 682, namely:
  • 689 - 682 played dead to avoid its effects, meaning that it presented a major threat.
  • 173 - 682 hid in a corner and covered itself in eyes. 173 clearly presents a major threat, and in an alternate timeline where 173 got rid of that limitation, it has successfully terminated 682.
  • 826 - 682 sustained major damage, and refuses to re-enter, indicating that different wording could enable it to terminate 682.
  • 063 - 682 was only able to adapt to the effects of 063 by becoming inorganic, which took it some time.
  • 738 - 738 responds that the Foundation can't afford it, meaning that it is capable of terminating 682.
  • 272 - 682 refused to attack 272, and adapted to it by growing lights on its body.
  • 536 - 682 was unable to adapt immunity to 536's effects, and survived by transforming into exotic matter. (This one indicates that Sting would work)
  • 524 - 682 ran and hid in a corner on the roof.
  • 2935 - This reality's 682 was terminated.
  • ●●|●●●●●|●●|● - ●●|●●●●●|●●|● did successfully dematerialize the portion of 682 which it targeted.
  • 204 - SCP-204-1 was entirely capable of engaging 682 in battle and defeating it.
  • 3108 - If someone who had the right perception of what an inferior 682 was used it, this would work.
