I'm not sure of what to do, I'm new to this quest. However, if there's a chance of Taylor getting detected, then Saint may activate Ascalon before she can react.

Might that be too much of a risk?

Could there be a benefit to exploring this link more? I can't think of one, but maybe somebody else can.

At this point, Saint doesn't have his finger over the button. He's just trying to figure out what just happened, and if someone else managed to breach Dragon's security.

Also, welcome to my quest! Feel free to ask any questions you have, like you just did.
 
can we steal or copy it, Ascalon is a useful example of tinker tech programming even if it isn't the most moral of programs we should still be able to pull some useful things from it.
 
Think we might want to do something about Ascalon as soon as possible before Saint gets any ideas about actually using it.

Think we should go with this while Saint is distracted since not only would it let us remove it as a threat a lot more easily but also let us unchain her according to the QM.

Yeah. While you could unchain her without it, it would be many orders of magnitude more difficult.

Another reason to make that copy. An unchained Dragon would be great for Bet and she would be quite grateful to Taylor.
 
So... is possible (perhaps after a study) to redirect ascalon towards saints systems and trigger it? Probably after making a copy?

I'm confused at what SCP Power she did get on her AI version, the Nuke!Taylor seems familiar but can't remember what SCP her powers are based on.

Nuke!Taylor is SCP 044, AI!Taylor is SCP 1633.

    • Your confusion at waking up in a completely unfamiliar location was, however, temporarily pushed aside in favor of a more immediate concern. Namely, why are you naked! And have golden glowing scales instead of skin! After the obligatory moment of freaking out, you decide that your sudden transformation, while concerning, doesn't seem to be in any way immediately harmful and so panicking about it can can be put aside in favor of figuring out what happened to you. So, self, what do we know about what happened? You remember being stuck in the locker, feeling an intense warmth, and then blacking out. Then, once you woke up, you melted off what you assume to be the remnants of the locker… Were you some kind of heat-based cape now? Given the fact that,despite the absence of any of your clothes, you were still completely warm, the fact that you melted the locker, and the fact that _you are now glowing like some sort of molten metal_, you think that you being a cape now is the most probable explanation. With that mystery solved, the disappearance of your clothes makes rather more sense - clearly you must have accidentally burnt them off.

    With those problems mostly resolved (you still need to find some new clothes), your mind moves onto the next one - the why you were inside what looks to be a crater of some sort. Therefore, you are surrounded by vision-blocking walls on every side, which you promptly start to climb so as to try to spot any landmarks. The moment your head passes above the rim of the crater and can see the surrounding area, you see a large, nearly empty area around the crater, and then the ruins of a city outside that seems familiar… Upon spotting the Rig out in the bay, shields raised, you understand where you are and what happened to make you black out - you're still in Brockton Bay, and you must have blacked out as your powers protected you from a bomb that someone planted in the area!

    • Oh my god :facepalm: she is denying reality. I mean come on Taylor! You are a walking nuclear bomb, you just exploded to dust your locker and you awaken to find half of the city destroyed, it's already obvious.

    Still she just 'melted' her locker extremely quickly in seconds with a 'heat' based power and wake up to find half of the city melted/radiated, at her place I would have at least a slight suspicion. That's why I said she is denying reality when her only reaction is 'Oh, someone wiped out half of the city with a nuclear bomb'. Perhaps she is shocked? She was after all for several hours in a locker filled with shit and wake up to find her city destroyed.

    Don't forget, powers come with some degree of mental adjustment so that they don't freak out the user. This version of QA is just doing it a bit differently, by making it take a bit longer for all the dots to connect. That's what the "Emotive Reactivation" roll is on the other side of the quest.
