The BFP for its part continued on a message of increasing military spending and the defense of the homeworld, changing little from messaging in the last election. This led to the loss of some urban seats as the youths have continued to insist that conscription is a bridge too far while accepting increasing military spending. The party itself should not be one for the youths but their support was critical for the few urban footholds left, surrendering them to the PSC and only leaving core constituencies of veterans voting for the party. The PSC itself has started to modernize itself with a new younger party leadership group and a series of new black suits that are mandatory for party members. This has extended to a softening of social policies in favor of a pure militarist message, advocating for a stronger rearmament program, the universal conscription of the idle youth, and the reintroduction of morality. The reality of any of their positions aside they have found a viable voting base from disaffected youths and several middle-class interests.
