Abyssal Princesses III [Actually the Third]: A Kancolle GSRP

Coshiua said:
It was shortly after you had finished talks with Bounty Hunter Princess that you found humans within a recently cleaned out store room. There were five of them moving around with boxes in their hands, talking to each other as they moved around, pleased to have found what they assumed to have been "abandoned outpost" on an island so close to the area that they were now starting to operate within.

I wasn't even mad that some humans had decided to actually try to make use of me. It was startling in a way because, well, how could they not notice the activity in other parts of my harbor? Regardless I strode into the store room when all five of the people were within it unpacking their boxes. I did try to be as non-threatening as I could be though I fear that probably did not work as well as intended, I could do nothing about my size. Some of them screaming at me initially can attest to that quite well.

Talks went... Well, better than expected. I managed to shoo them out without any bloodshed on either side, though their ability to harm me was negligible. Still, it did bring something to my attention. I wasn't going to be hidden forever and humans were going to keep finding me. Should I embrace this and welcome them? Or perhaps it would be in my best interests to just make them accept me. At this point even more in-depth observations were in order by just taking time to explore Madagascar properly? I could probably do all three things. Step one would, of course, be to just start becoming more familiar with their society. Step two would then be getting them less afraid of me. Finally, step three would be welcoming them the same time I make them accept me.

And humans themselves... So much potential. Sure, I could advance industry on my own but humans could take it further. Under my guidance we could progress even faster, under my guidance we could push the boundaries of industry, under my guidance we could usher in a new industrial revolution...

I-17 had arrived where she was supposed to and completely rose to the surface of the ocean until she was standing atop the water. Around her submarines had gathered while she pulled out a map and logbook. She did a quick bit of checking over both before nodding her head and stowing both back away. This was the place, as far as her Princess remembered, where a big fight had happened. Rubbing her hands together the submarine spent a moment to think about what sort of ship to summon. A carrier, perhaps? They did have mostly lighter ships so some air power would be nice. There was that Blue Ghost ship I-17 loosely remembered. Around I-17 the lesser Abyssals watched on as she prepared to speak, letting the sorcery that was entrusted to her flow through her into the surrounding waters while her eyes closed.

"So, round two. Well, here goes? Sorry if it's a little rough." She cleared her throat.

"Hinotsubasa,
Arata ni tachiagaru,
Kōfuku shinai,
Kantai o kakuho suru,
Gai o fusegu,
Yūki o wakachi au,
Hitsuyōdesu,
Abisu wa komatte iru,
Kotaete kudasai."

I-17 felt the energy leave her as she spoke and then the increased chatter among the lesser Abyssals did cause her to keep her eyes closed.

'Huh, I understood, like, none of that. Also, why do you still got your eyes closed. I answered your call y'know. CV-12, Hornet, ready to help. " I-17 jumped a bit when a hand settled upon her head and only then opened her eyes. Before her stood a tall woman with blonde hair done up in twin tails. Her skin was the usual sort of Abyssal pale though and her outfit was rather revealing, like most Abyssal outfits.

"Uh, welcome to the fleet of African Industry Princess, Hornet. I'm I-17 and my Princess requested that I get both you and another ship. I hope you don't mind waiting as I let the summoning energy recharge?" I-17 fidgeted a bit before the larger ship, a sort of instinctual habit even if she was currently her Princess's second in command.

"Not a problem at all, though I gotta ask. Who's supposed to be the other summoned ship here? One of the Iowa's?" Hornet seemed kinda hopeful, perking up a bit with a slight adjustment to her hat.

"Well, a Yamato, according to my Princess's orders." I-17 barely got the sentence out before Hornet's jaw had dropped and she was just staring at the small submarine.

"Why a Yamato?! Wait, the only one here is Musashi. Are you sure she wants Musashi?" Hornet put her hands upon I-17's shoulders and kept staring at her. "Like, absolutely positively sure she wants Musashi?" I-17 just nodded in response and the carrier started gently shaking the much smaller boat. "Noooo...."

Thames meanwhile was continuing what she had done the previous month. Of course, one ship became two and her writing continued even longer. Where the previous story spanned thirteen chapters this one was already past that at sixteen chapters. Instead of just a peppy battleship to push things along there was a carrier as well who just as peppy. The two capital ships were vying for Subira's affection and may be selectively ignoring that their Princess loved both. Thames wasn't about to argue with the ability to write up shenanigans between the two considering there was still differences in their shows of love.

Of course, this didn't rule out actually researching but Thames honestly may have forgotten to spend time researching once or twice. Hey, muses should be nurtured as far as Thames was concerned and ideas couldn't just be left to the side. It's not like they were in a war or something.

"And I hope we've all learned something from this." The Elusive Carrier Princess tells the two other ships in the Java Sea with her, hair still mussed up, a giant bruise covering the left side of her face, and with a palm leaf, that is on fire, stuck in her hair. "For starters, I hope you've all learned that, whatever experience might tell you, Never Do That Again."

Sighing to herself, Elly shakes her head, leaf finally falling to the ocean below. "Anyway, Nachi, go head over to the Banda Sea and establish a presence there, would you? I've got a new face... or old face, perhaps, to bring in. Exeter, good work with the harvesting. Soon we'll be beyond the need to keep doing that, but for now keep it up a bit longer, ok?"

LATER ON

"Oh? What's this all about?" Elly scratched her head in confusion as she watches the humans chase each other, before shrugging and firing her radio up. "Exeter, get over here. The humans are doing something weird in my waters and I wanna know what's going on."

The Seas are Calm. For now...

Discoverer shifted restlessly on her throne. The petty princess who'd challenged her was no doubt growing her strength, and the appointed time was only drawing closer as well... Her operations had to be expanded, and more, she could feel the darkness of the Atlantic beginning to swell.

Yet there were also points of darkness inland, places that she would have ignored once, and yet...

While war was such an ugly thing, perhaps something could be learned from a nexus of power. In france, she could feel a slumbering specter of death, almost as powerful as the white cold of the arctic, yet messier, drenched in blood and mud rather than snows that swallowed one whole...

She needed to expand, she needed more. Humanity had to pay, and if there was anything the meeting with Raider princess had shown her it was that her fellow rulers of the deep were not all aligned in purpose. Perhaps the hope that they were had been a vain one from the start even...

"Wanderer, explore as you wish, the United Kingdom has always been a naval power, and their ships are strong. We know of one, we may yet discover more if you look..." Trying to siege the island by air had proven ineffective, she could remember the specters of the second World War after all, but an invasion from the sea... That was one thing the British had feared wasn't it... And now that their guards were down... She licked her lips... "That I might form a new kingdom of the Abyss..."

She grinned.

Europe, the birthplace of the discoverers who had traveled the globe... She would need a staging area for her assault, this little island should prove ideal~

"Ok. I'll move my pawn here." Warring shuffles her pawn to an empty square, smirking cockily. "Your move, Little."

"Pawn to C5." Little affirms dryly. "Your turn, Princess."

"Hmn, I'll move my pillar man this-a-way then, your move."

"For your betterment, Warring. That's a bishop. Knight to C6."

"Whatever." Warring rolled her eyes and moved another piece. "Your move, smartass."

"Fuckin' nerds." Branwen starts, ".... Who's losing?"

"We literally just started." Little yawns a little, "And stop interrupting, go step a lego or something." Little then moves her pawn out of the way. "Where's the large one?"

"Large one?"

"I-1?"

"She's out and about, how the hell should I know?"

"Hey, focus! Ignore the Welshwoman so I can get back beating your ass!"

"Of course."

. . . [A few turns later] . . .

Warring gets up and flips the table, seething and hissing. "Fucking cheater asshole, you suck!."

"You're just bad." Little counters, "Seriously, you're awful. Do you even know how to play?"

"I know how to play checkers!"

"The game is called chess, were you really playing checkers while I was playing chess?"

"You're both nerds. Nerds." Branwen snickers.

"Shut up, Welshwoman." Little and warring counter together.

4 Turns Until Blood Week

World News
"Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov suffered an accident in the floating dock near Roslyvakovo. According to the shipyard representatives -- interruptions in the electricity supply caused the tanks of the two graving docks to sink. It is unknown why the shipyard's backup engines were not activated. The aircraft carrier which is currently undergoing repairs was damaged, however it is not known at this time how severe the damage is..."

Radio Free Vengeance
"Well Deep Dwellers, it seems things are getting more and more interesting these days. We have more Princesses coming out of the woodwork, and some that are causing waves to form up top! Raider Princess is making the Russians look bad with the sinking of their biggest Aircraft Carrier, though the the humans think it an accident of sorts. No doubt such a comment will anger the Viking-style Princess, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing for her or us, is it? In addition, rumblings from along the Pacific speak of another Princess taking an oil derrick up North. We have little info on this one, but don't worry girls, we'll let you know as soon as we can!

"In other news, the Legend of the Imperial Japanese Navy has arisen! Or has she? We're still unsure if these rumors are true, or merely whispers of ambition? And whose side is she on? More on that in the coming days everyone. Stay tuned! "

The Jellyfish Princess
The Princess in front of you, and it WAS a Princess, not a mere Demon, was more than a little upset at being woken up that was clear. Yet your words and tone helped to sooth her fury, at least against you. [Why can't they just let me sleep? First they tried to dig me up, then they kept poking and prodding when I got rid of the first ones...]

Your words to her make her grimace though. [I don't want them around me. But...] she said, looking down at herself. [If they come in force, I can't just push them off either. Not as I am.] The Jellyfish Princess turns to Atomic with a wariness in her eyes, yet also a curiosity. [You said you wanted to evict them. Are you willing to push these interlopers out then?]

Branwen's drinking has, if anything, gotten worse it would seem over the past few weeks. It's not at the point of being a detriment to her duties... yet. But there is certainly something going on with her. When pressed about it, she denies that anything is wrong, but at one point, she's just drunk enough to not care anymore and slurs out something. With all the summons that are occurring lately and being reported over Radio Free, she's been feeling more and more put out about herself. Not her abilities, nor her skill, no.... It's her history.

Or rather... the lack of it.

African Industry Fleet
Hydrokinesis
Scaring Off The Humans
You closed the door forcefully behind yourself and strode into your store room, your hair blowing around you. The momentum of your stride took you to the middle of your store room, where you stood for a moment observing the humans as the humans stared at you in shock. You stood there and watched as the humans' fear over your inhuman appearance overcame the shock of your entrance, stood there as one of the humans started to scream, stood there as bullets fired from the pitiable guns that they had stashed on their person pinged against your body.

"I think that it's time for you all to leave. Now."

The humans were all too happy to leave after that, almost tripping over themselves in their haste to leave, abandoning the boxes that they had already unpacked from their boats.

Humans Chased Out Of African Industry Princess! +5 Resources

Unexpected Contact

Your thoughts were only interrupted when one of your PT Boats reported a small number of unknown contacts forty kilometers from your location. You looked up from your work, mouth thinning into a frown, considering the possibility that the humans you had scared off might have reported you to their authorities. It was something that you could have believed if not for the fact that there was not a single human ship in the fleet approaching your location.

The, mere moments after your PT Boat reported in to you about, you felt the other princess reach out to you. A mind that touched your own was not one that you had started to grow familiar with, but a mind like sand blown over the restless dunes. The mind was the sand and the treasures buried within the earth it obscured: she was [Arabian Princess].

And she wanted to meet with you.

Failed Infiltration
As Refuse goes to slip into Hawaii waters, she is unfortunately spotted by nearby patrol boat, being picked up on its radar. Fortunately for Refuse, they are not advancing on her with speed, possibly confused as to what she actually is, given that they haven't gotten into visual range yet, or maybe there's something wrong with their instruments. However, they ARE moving in her direction....

Event Action (These may be taken in addition to regular actions for the turn.)
[] ABORT! ABORT! (Do not infiltrate, further increased security around Hawaii)
[] Fight (Martial Roll) (WARNING! POSSIBLE EARLY BLOODWEEK!)
[] Try to sneak in anyways, warier than before (Intrigue Roll, success means infiltration still successful, but still increases security around Hawaii)
[] Pretend to be a lost swimmer? (Intrigue Roll. Success means you are let go while they scratch their heads, failure means arrest)

Failed Tech Theft
Tenryuu finds that her old homeland has NOT been idle in terms of technological wonders. Indeed, there are examples of unknown tech everywhere she goes! However, just because it is nearly everywhere doesn't mean it's unguarded... In sneaking into a warehouse full of strange devices boxed up, she accidentally triggers an alarm system. By the time she's grabbed several crates worth of stuff and put them in her hold, a team of policemen have arrived on the scene and spotted her. "HALT! Put your hands up now!" they say.

Event Action (These may be taken in addition to regular actions for the turn.)
[] RUN! (Fail to acquire tech, do not get caught. Minor increased security around Sea of Japan)
[] Fight (Martial Roll. WARNING! EARLY BLOOD WEEK POSSIBLE!
[] Surrender. (Intrigue Roll. Success means that you are arrested but let go in a month because you bullshit your way around successfully. Failure means detainment and further questioning of your nature. WARNING! POSSIBLE INCREASED ALERTNESS DURING BLOOD WEEK!)

Theft
You waited five minutes after all the noise within the Historic Naval Dockyard had stopped and you could no longer hear anything but the faint sound of the water before you poked you head out from underneath the surface. Once you were satisfied that no one was around, you crept the rest of the way out.

Your eyes roamed over the ships in front of you while a faint frown settled on your face. It was a shame that the Princess had sent you in to steal a historical relic on your own. You would have found it more difficult to infiltrate the island with a fleet, but additional forces would have allowed you to steal more than you would be able to steal by yourself. You would have to bring it up with the Princess when you spoke to her next.

But, that would have to wait until later. For now, you had a lot of work to do.

High-Speed Chase Continued
You frowned and followed after the humans. You could come back for the crates later if you wanted to, but right now you wanted to find out the reason that the humans were chasing each other. You kept your distance, understanding the need to remain out of sight, and did your best to hide your movements. The humans never seemed to notice though, so you continued to follow them, watching on as the second ship fire something at the first ship.

You were lightheaded. The world was still, but you were spinning. You gritted your teeth and tried to force back the sob that stuck at the back of your throat. It wasn't supposed to have ended up like this, it shouldn't have ended up like this, your fleet in tatters and you a hair's breadth away from being sunk by someone who should have been an ally.

You hadn't known. You hadn't known that Yamato would have minded her wreckage being moved, hadn't known that the location you had been told to summon Yamato at would give her such strength, hadn't known she would attack you the moment she had been summoned.

Battle with the Beast
Finally it ended. The creature moved in, just tired enough to not entirely control its attack, and you met it head on. Your hands lashed out, taking hold of the creature's horns, and your engines roared, flames spluttering back to life. You slid back as you fought to lever the creature upwards, blackish-blue blood covering your hands making it much more difficult than it should be, and slammed it down onto the surface of the water. Before the creature could recover, the tips of your turrets were at the top of its head, pressing against the skin. You looked down, met its eyes, and it seemed to understand.

The creature allowed itself to go limp, and you knew that you had won.

Gained Subdued Beast of the Abyss!

Escape from Pearl Harbor

"Get back here!"

You didn't look back, didn't slow down, and didn't think about stopping. You instead choose to keep on running down the darkened street straight towards the harbor. It wasn't long before the sound of your rapid footfalls changed from cement to the creaky wood of the pier. The pier protested even more as your pursuers followed your onto it.

As you approached the end of the pier, you didn't slow down. You sped up. You leapt off the edge of the pier, tucking and turning, and dropped into a perfect dive straight down. You could hear the humans shouting above you, but ignored them as you dove down deeper into the water.

It was officially time to leave.

"Gross." Warring looked at Branwen like she was walking garbage. "Absolutely disgusting."

After listening to Brawnen, Warring came to an absolute conclusion. Her heir had single-handedly proven herself to be the most worthless feature in her entire fleet. Below even the excrement of her recently summoned lesser destroyers.

Branwen incensed snapped back, or attempted too. "Scr-" But didn't get a word out edgwise as Warring thunder over her.

"Like smokes, my expectations were exceedingly low but somehow you managed to disappoint even me; you cockroach in demonic form!" Warring began to rant indignantly. Words failed to deliver her vitriol directed at her shitty little demon crybaby she had to lecture.

"Is that brain of yours defective? Or did alcoholism destroy what little brain cells you had left? You half-wit amoeba, answer me you little shit."

"I"m not an alcoholic, you piece of shi-"

Ignoring Branwen's formulating rebuttal as word vomit, Warring continued her verbal onslaught.

"But I'm generous, with boundless and infinite compassion even for likes of wayward pissants like you. Do you think yours is an existence so significant and blessed that you could outclass other demons, me, and my peers, alone, do you? That by the way, is a rhetorical question. I'll answer for you. No. You aren't. Because you are a single fish in a very large pond and not even the biggest fish at that either…."

"But, here, you are. Getting despondent and perhaps even jealous, of what, rumor mill? Of course summonings will happen. The one with the most powerful pieces decides at what pace our grand little game will be or were you too daft to consider even that?"

"Disappointing to say the least, Branwen. Even worse, you're crying about the hearsay from a radio-operator of questionable allegiance and intent, are you a joke? Is this what you want me to view you as?"

"And as for that coveted history you babble so much over, I could care less of…. And do you know why that is? In the following months, it will all be made irrelevant. A wave of violence and war and death will shake and tear this world asunder, what is a legacy worth compared to the raw power to claim it all by strength and will and conviction alone?"

"Nothing."
Warring hammers it with finality, "Not a damned thing."

"I am stripping you of rank and privilege; suffice to say, you're no longer my heir. Your display of idiocy and utter incompetence has seen to that. In addition, you are forbidden from drinking or listening to 'radio free vengeance'."

"And I'm super serial about it too. If I catch you, your ass will fry like British shipping. Are we clear?"

"Now, leave to your quarters and reflect. I have things to do and things to prepare for, and I do not have time to waste on your petty bullshit."

Shadowed Wake Fleet
Sukrai

Failed Summoning
You were lightheaded. The world was still, but you were spinning. You gritted your teeth and tried to force back the sob that stuck at the back of your throat. It wasn't supposed to have ended up like this, it shouldn't have ended up like this, your fleet in tatters and you a hair's breadth away from being sunk by someone who should have been an ally.

You hadn't known. You hadn't known that Yamato would have minded her wreckage being moved, hadn't known that the location you had been told to summon Yamato at would give her such strength, hadn't known she would attack you the moment she had been summoned.

What would Onami say when she learned of what had happened? What would she do?

Crest watched on as the largest battleship ever created sank once again, falling into the trench that she had been brought to as pieces drifted down like the oily tears on the Demon's face.

[Crest...]

Said Demon hiccuped as her Princess spoke to her, taking a moment to try and steady herself before answering. [Y-yes, my liege?]

[Crest... I felt... ALL of that.]

The submarine winced as she realized that there was no hiding what she'd done. No hiding the failure or the loss that they'd suffered with this attempt. [I... I'm sorry Onami. I, I didn't mean to...]

[Don't.]

Crest froze up at the single word, fearing what it meant. Was it anger? Was there truly no excusing what she'd done? Looking at the fallen destroyer amongst them, its hull cracked and shattered apart, broken by the rage of the battleship they'd mistakenly thought would be their comrade.

[It's not your fault.]

The words didn't register for a moment, her own mind thinking that it was just an attempt by some traitorous part trying to get out of trouble, until she realized that it hadn't come from within. [M-my Princess?]

[I miscalculated. I should have thought about what would happen if Yamato was disturbed from her grave without proper preparations. I had you move too fast, was too caught up in the idea of getting such a prize... I forgot that we are NOT prizes to be won.]

Crest blinked at that. Was... Was Onami taking this on her own shoulders? [But... But I...]

[You sunk her, yes. I know... And you lost one of our own.]

The pain of guilt was worse than the pain of her wounds, and Crest whimpered again as she looked to the corpse of destroyer, looking so much like someone had run over a dog and left it on the side of the road. [I'm sorry.... I didn't want this. I didn't want her to... to...]

[It's not your fault Crest. If you hadn't done what you did, we would have lost MORE than just her. Look at them.]

Crest did as she was bid and looked to her fleet. The remaining destroyer nuzzled its fallen sibling depressedly, while the wounded light cruiser patted it comfortingly, the one eye behind her mask softening in its glow.

[They live because of you. You defended them against something that was designed to eat them for breakfast... and came away alive.]

Her tears still came, leaving black trails down her cheeks as she felt mixed feelings at that. Guilt... and yet a quiet pride that made the guilt seemingly worse, as if she didn't deserve to feel it... Yet at the same time... There was a pride in THEM. In these two who had stood against the biggest guns in the world, the pride of an Empire, and had not been found wanting. She looked upon the fallen one, and wondered if she felt any of that pride... if the Destroyer felt anything at having struck at something so far beyond her weight. Yamato, the Pride of the Japanese navy, empowered by the Abyss itself in a place of Power concentrated... and it was these three who had felled her. Some of the smallest ships possible, brought down a Giant.

[Now is not the time for guilt. Now is the time to heal.]

Crest wiped her cheeks, before looking up, her mind going out to Onami. [But... But what about....?]

[Take her to the Philippine Sea outpost. Take her to the shipyard. With luck, we can bring her back, rebuild her.]

[But... But what... What if it's not her... that wakes up?]

[...Then that will be fore me to have to deal with....]

Crest looked back at the others, both of whom were now looking at her, having heard at least part of what was said. Swallowing, the submarine moved to the tiny shattered body, picking it up gently in her arms and looking them both in the eyes. [Y-yes Princess... C-come on guys. Let's... Let's get you all patched up.]

It was a somber procession to the neighboring sea... Yet who knew? Maybe it would be their friend coming back.

____________________________________________________________________________________________________

Gudgeon too heard Onami's words, though she hadn't seen the battle itself. Instead, the submarine Demon had been focused on her task of finishing construction on the dockyards. What should have been a celebration however at opening up a place to bring forth new sisters, was going to be a much more solemn, and nerve-wracking event. As Crest brought the body of the fallen destroyer and placed it into the empty slip, Gudgeon knew she had her work cut out for her...

____________________________________________________________________________________________________

Onami herself, however, was FURIOUS! Not at Crest, and not just at herself either. Yes, she'd made a mistake in pushing to bring Yamato into the fold, but WHAT THE HELL?! WHY the hell did she have to take it out on her little destroyers? WHY did she just attack, instead of first asking what happened or why? And W̜̭̩̺̮͇͌̾H̢̙̞͚͋̈́Y͕̦̐͂͊̆ͯ͡ did the Abyss itself even LET this happen?! It was almost like it was taunting her...

Leaving the base behind for the moment, Onami descended to the Trench, letting the darkness engulf her, before calling on all the power she had at the moment, forcing it to manifest in front of her. [To the depths, I call, to whomever it is below... I have named myself in your honor, and taken up your call as my own... Yet you have spurned me. The one I called on defied and struck out, and you empowered her to do so.... Now I come for answers as to why. For this, I give my power, my essence and my blood... Send me the one who shall carry the answer to me!]

Black blood dripped to the ground as Belligerent gathered the materials she needed to conduct repairs and brought them to a table and seat. It would be easier to preform these repairs with a shipyard, perhaps, but she hadn't one of those yet. Soon, with luck, but not yet. She counted her fortunes that the nature of her form made such repairs easier.

Metals were applied to damaged and battered riggings and became duly Abyss-dark, more fabric-like materials pulled over weeping wounds and tied taught. Belligerent lost herself in her working, silence stretching through the Outpost that was only broken by the rare hiss of pain or dull sound of metal clanging and reshaping, the dripping of blood - and by the breathing and grumbling of the beast that Belligerent had brought along with her. After some time she finished with her work and leaned back with a shallow sigh. More than this would need time, not just effort.

The repairs no longer dominating her attentions, Belligerent turned to face the creature again. Studying its wounds, she felt the unfamiliar twang of regret that she had wounded such a magnificent creature; she pulled herself shy of wallowing in it by reminding herself that the nature of the creature all but demanded such a course of action. Now that it had calmed, however...

Carefully, Belligerent approached the creature with what useful materials she had. Standing beside it, she reached her hand to one of the larger gashes on its side. It grumbled and shied away, and Belligerent paused. Gradually the beast settled again. Insistently, slowly, Belligerent moved forwards again. The creature grumbled again and tensed, but it did not move away, and so Belligerent was able to place her hand beside the wound. She waited there for a time, letting the creature grow accustomed to her touch without it also bringing pain. And then, gently and carefully as she could, Belligerent set about tending to the injuries she had caused.

It was simultaneously intensive and difficult work, and repetitively mind-numbing. But after some time, longer than she cared to keep track of, Belligerent stepped back again, the beast's wounds dressed as well as she could manage, and moved around to look the creature in the eyes. She and the beast simply stared at each other for a time, considering each other. And then Belligerent placed a hand on the creature's head, between its horns.

Deliberately, Belligerent closed her eyes and reached inside herself. Past what she knew as her, past her grudge, past all she was. Belligerent reached inside herself and brushed against the pool that was allowed to her and hers, the pool of power that was sent forth from the immeasurable Abyss to her. Carefully, she allowed only a trickle of that power to flow into her - Emden would need more of it, in time, but this much could be spared. And the beast was already almost there - it needed only the final awareness. This, she hoped, would be enough. The power of the Abyss gradually seeped into her, and she gathered that small flow of power and pushed it out - through her shoulder, down her arm, out her palm, and into the beast.

"As you now allow me to stand before you, I offer you a gift. From the Abyss to me, and from me to you, so from the Abyss to you. I offer power, and hope it brings understanding. Remember your nature. Remember from whence you came. Remember the Abyss that sent us both from the depths, and charged us with our mission. This, I offer you."

A little ways north, Arizona continued her work. The outpost was... perhaps not progressing as fast as she had hoped, but nevertheless it progressed. She would see it completed.

In the seas around Midway, the carrier and the older cruiser looked at each other in silence.

"...so you are the Heir of this fleet?" Kaga finally asked, in a voice as flat as could be.

"No need to sound so surprised," was the dry response, causing Kaga to tilt her head slightly to the side.

"I am simply wondering why it was that such an old cruiser was chosen," the carrier said in turn.

Emden was slightly too short to easily reach high enough to flick Kaga on the forehead - so she flicked Kaga on the arm instead. "Respect your elders, kleiner Vogel," she said as Kaga masked her small flinch. "Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't still have a few tricks up my sleeve, like how to manage the affairs of war when the fleet is few. Besides," she added with a cutting grin, "if you wanted the position so badly, you should've answered the call earlier, don't you think?"

Kaga did not tense - rather, she very deliberately did not tense. "I did not say that I-!"

"Of course," Emden said with a careless wave, "you didn't mean to imply what you implied, I'm sure."

There was a stretch of silence. And then, with very deliberate enunciation, Kaga said, "What are your orders, ma'am?"

Emden looked at the carrier for a moment longer. Then with a gesture she had one of the two destroyers move towards Kaga. "I'm seconding this destroyer to you as an escort," she said. "I want you to head south to meet with unsere Prinzessin. She'll give you further instructions."

Kaga nodded briefly, the destroyer falling in with her. "And you?"

Emden smirked. "I will be staying here to retrieve your... would you prefer sibling or compatriot, actually?" she mused, before shaking her head and continuing. "In any case, I will be lingering to retrieve Akagi as well."

Another nod. "Understood," Kaga said, turning towards the south and beginning to move away.

Emden began to turn away as well - before pausing and turning back towards the carrier. "One more thing," she called, causing Kaga to come to a halt. "One of those in our fleet was sunk in your strike on Hawaii, or so I'm told. I'd suggest that you try to avoid antagonizing her."

Kaga said nothing for a time, before she replied. "It was tasked to me to preform, not a choice made. I will not apologize for preforming well in something I did not choose, but I will not take issue with her if she does not with me." And with that she carried on, underway once more.

With captured resources counted out and handled the sudden awareness of someone else coming did put a wrench in my plans to actually visit the humans. A new Princess, of all things. Something interesting and something worth preparing for no matter the size of her fleet and intentions. Was she aware of my status as an Installation? Given the lack of movement on my part I could only assume so. I wonder if she will be impressed at what I have accomplished so far in such a short time? It wouldn't be wrong of me to say that I was ahead of most when it came to industry, as was my goal. But another thought occurred to me, since her name was Arabian Princess then she may stand between me and my goals depending on where she's based out of.

Across me the gremlins that constituted my workforce began the preparations for the visit from Arabian Princess. The steel of my gun batteries was polished, the pathways between buildings sorted out and cleaned, and the where it was applicable the camouflage concealing me was tidied up. It would hardly do me any favors to welcome in someone without making sure my own appearance was as pristine as it could be. It wasn't like being a part of the Abyss meant I had to look terrible, the opposite should be true.

With the cleaning underway Thames arrived, the summons for her having been sent out the moment I became aware of the new Princess steaming towards me. Thames was the second part of my ideal meeting, having a demon with me would better level the playing field if push came to shove. Or, if everything stayed friendly, Thames was a showing that I wasn't incapable. Having Thames around also meant research could continue at a faster rate, the two of us making use of the newly constructed research facilities to their full extent.

I-17 had originally been a bit dubious of her being a delivery girl but her Princess's orders were absolute and she would follow them. It just involved sailing sooo far away just to hand off something and grab something else. Though, in a way, it really wasn't that much different from her sailing all the way out to Leyte to grab a pair of warships before sailing all the way home. The stuff with Hornet didn't help her mood out at all. It wasn't like Hornet really had a reason to dislike Musashi, she never fought the Yamato-class ship. She'd finally gotten over Hornet's reaction and being all worked up by the time she found the outpost that was her target. The demon hopefully there being the target of her current mission. Hand over the info, get info back.

"Hello, I'm I-17 here for the exchange of research data?" I-17 spoke over her radio on what she hoped would be the right frequencies. She, admittedly, wasn't completely focused on the task at hand. Her musings had kept her from really focusing on where she was previously and now that she'd shifted mental gears it hit her. She was home... Or as close to home as she could be. She didn't even really notice as she sailed closer and closer to the outpost.

Hornet's frustration, contrary to what I-17 might have believed, wasn't over Musashi being a Yamato-class or anything like that. Her problem was with the damn woman herself. Still smiling and putting up a fight when she was otherwise so thoroughly beaten. Surrounded, left to die alone, and with no real hope left in sight... And Musashi was still trying to put up a fight with a smile. That's what irritated Hornet, she'd seen the pictures and video of the fight and from start to finish Musashi had been nothing but cocky. She'd have to put up with that and if it was as bad as the stories she'd heard of Iowa... Hornet shuddered. Was it too much to ask to just sail with Enterprise again? The Grey Ghost's usual quiet demeanor was so nice to sail with.

While still grumbling Hornet went about the task I-17 had left with her. "Go off somewhere and gather some supplies. Send them to Madagascar right after." Hornet parroted the submarine with a roll of her eyes. It's not like she could say no, Subira contacted her shortly after and told her to do the exact same. So Hornet went to work procuring whatever she could get her hands on grumbling the whole time about cocky blondes.

"Indeed. We are willing to chase out those who dare disturb us, and destory those who do not oblige." We said, grinning savagly at the anticipation of a chance to break in our guns and most of the fleets. we would need Nagato and Pilotfish for this.

As Sorocco left the Falkland Islands behind her, she thought back on all the information she had stolen from the humans. In all the time she was there, nobody had seen her. And that was the key to being a good submarine. If you did your job, nobody knew you were there.

However, new orders came in. It was time to stretch her Princess' kingdom by making a second outpost. Second of many that would stretch underneath the lower continents. Soon those outpost, hidden from prying surface eyes, would bring untold power and riches to them.

And while it would be very unbusinesslike to smile at what would soon come in, Sorocco figured a shark like grin would be appropriate.

Bounty Hunter Princess just sighed as she looked over Auge once more. It couldn't be that hard to make more of her, could it? It was taking two weeks, and was looking to take a third one to figure her out. Why couldn't she be a sub? Subs were easy. Beautiful. Stealthy.

"Oh my. I feel like we should be having dinner first."

Bounty Hunter was wishing Auge was being stealthy right now. It'd make this a lot less awkard.

Refuse
The night had to be at least half over by the time that Refuse heard the sounds that she'd been waiting for. Footsteps thudded on the other side of the pier above her, and then she heard them start to move away, but she didn't move. She waited five minutes after she had last heard the footsteps before she poked her head out from underneath the pier.

When she was sure that no one else was around, she crept the rest of the way out. She moved the last few meters that separated her from the wreckage pressed her hand against it, and called upon the borrowed power of her Princess. Her Princess' power coursed through her veins, filling her with what felt like liquid fire, scorching her. She spoke:

"Wake up! It is time! It is time again! The world that made you into a killer, the world that abandoned you, it is time to take revenge! Stand again as a Demon in this hour! Rise your grave! Utah!!"

The seas were calm now, at least in comparison to how they were but moments ago when they were alive with fleeing ships and gunfire. Yes, calm indeed... unless you count the looser sinking into the depths as the winners watch in seeming silence, unnoticing of the pair of greater craft, spirits of the abyss, watching them in turn.

"Aaaand we still don't know why the humans were shooting each other." The Elusive Carrier Princess sums up the recent events in annoyance. "Exeter, I need to get busy with the rituals, but do you think you could fish one or two of the survivors up so we can ask them what happened here? Thank you."

With a sigh, Elly turns to go sail back to what she was doing before this interruption.

"A new face." Elly says with a nod as she inspects the newly arrived Fubuki, before putting her finger against her mouth as she thought. "Or is it an old face? I kinda feel I already know you for some reason..."

Fubuki nods as she pokes her fingers together. "I don't know you... but I do?"

"...."

Agree to help Jellyfish Princess
You reached the top of Delap-Uliga-Djarrit, and stopped to look out and take in everything happening in front of them. Mass amounts of humans either stood next to their red and white vehicles or were already loading other humans into the vehicles, trying to help their wounded. The humans milled around them, walking into and out of ruined buildings, wounded humans carried in their arms or over their shoulders. THey worked as quickly as they possibility could, looking at them, it was hard to tell that only a day ago there had been even more of them running about.

You turned turned head toward Jellyfish Princess, wanting to see her reaction, and watched as the lines of her lips turned downwards. "I knew that there were more humans here than on the other islands we have visited , but I didn't expect this much..." Jellyfish Princess said, looking completely exhausted. "How much more times must I hit these human settlements for them to leave? I just want to rest....

"... But I won't be able to. Not until the last of the humans have left these islands." Jellyfish Princess said after a long couple of moments. She turned to look at you. "You asked me if I would work with you. Now, I give you my answer: I will work for you as long as it takes for us to fully remove the humans from these islands, and then I will rest."

The Arabian Princess
Arabian Princess approached, her posture perfect, her hands down at her sides and her chin lifted up, the very image of cool confidence. She wore what you assumed to be her standard wear, a sheer white veil with a low cut sheer white dress-like robe beneath it, trailing from her shoulder like a pair of wings. Her face was clear of make-up but for the thin lines of black traced around her eyes to make the red color of her eyes stand out more. As she stepped out of the water and up onto the docks, her slippers tapped against the surface. Her two Demons stepped back even as she stepped up, bowing low from their shoulders.

Arabian Princess barely acknowledged her Demons, instead simply moved onto the dock and then turned to face you. "But I do not come empty-handed." Arabian Princess turned and gestured with her left hand toward a small barge being towed forward. It was full of resources. "A gift for you, Sister of the Deep. And an incentive towards future cooperation between us."

Plains of Verdun
To say that Z-29 was out of her usual element was like saying a desert was dry, it was so gross an understatement. With almost no water around her, having to slog at a snail's pace on foot, dodging humans left and right the whole time while the feeling of being so exposed and visible, leaving her nervously looking over her shoulder every few seconds... Yes, it was safe to say that the little one wanted to return to the Abyss as quickly as she could.

Yet she persevered nonetheless. It took many days, but eventually the young destroyer found her way to the fabled Fields of Verdun... and even now after a century of peace, it was obvious that this had once been a battlefield. Grass may have covered the hills and trees may have leaves that danced in the wind, but there was no hiding the shape of craters wrought by artillery that dotted the landscape as though the shells had fallen like rain.... And they had. This place was asleep, but the scars.... Oh the scars ran DEEP here...

A little ways away, Z-29 would come across a museum dedicated to the conflict that had occurred here, and while getting in took a bit of finagling, it still granted her entrance into the halls that the humans had set up to enshrine those who fell, and why... Despite the bitterness that was felt in the soil beneath her feet, Z-29 could tell one thing though... The humans had NOT forgotten this place... Not at all... She felt like she was walking on bones just stepping in, and the rumbling discontent as those spirits within shied from her... Sacred ground...

HMS Encounter Summoned!

Save one of the humans from the boat

You swam forward, closing the distance between yourself the human your had chosen, and smiled as the human's eyes widened in fear. He fought against you, struggling to free himself and swim up towards the surface, but he wasn't as strong as you were. You barely had to strain, and then you pulling him down back and away from the other humans, and even as he tried to twist and yank himself free of your grasp, you held on. Soon enough, the fight left him.

You waited until the last possible moment before you swam upward to the surface. You repositioned the human onto his back before pressing a hand onto his chest until he had started to breath on his own again. You waited a couple of minutes after the human had returned to consciousness and then, after making sure that he fully understood his new situation, you started to question him.

You learned a lot of things from the human. The had been a part of a small criminal organization that had been operating within the Solomon Islands for the last couple of months. He had been helping bring in boxes of supplies into one of his organization's warehouses when the police had shown up: he had helped load what he could in a boat and then taken off in it with a couple of his superiors. The police had managed to catch up -- and you knew the rest.

But the man knew something else: the locations of three other warehouses that belonged to his organization. Two of those three warehouses were crawling with police -- but the third was not.

The Answered Call
You called out, voice ringing in the silence, and you heard the almost non-existent shift as you felt something turn towards you. You couldn't see what was looking at you but you could feel it - being stared at an enormous unblinking eye. Then, finally, after what felt like hours but was in reality only seconds, it seemed to turn its attention elsewhere.

You stood there, and just moments later someone appeared in front of you. It was a slender young woman with black eyes and long hair of matching color, styled into a braided ponytail which hung down her back with two bangs framing either side of her face. She wore a low-cut white top with black short shorts that left little the imagination. Her fingers ended in blackened claws tightened around the meat of her arms as she crossed them, eyes burning with power.

"You blame the Blackened Abyss, but you should not. For what has it done but provide whatever you have asked it to provide?" The pale woman shook her head. "No. If there is blame to be laid for what transpired here, then it should be laid solely your shoulders." She said, voice cutting like a whip. "You are the one that ordered your subordinate to disturb the rest of my sister, you are the one who ordered your subordinate to call upon my sister, and you are the one who ordered your subordinate to call upon my sister here in this place. It is only unfortunate that it was your subordinate that paid the price as opposed to you."

Onami looked at the Abyssal in front of her, her face as still as stone. [You say it was She, and not He, who chose to make it an attack after all, hmm?] the Princess asked. [I cannot say that it feels untrue... I felt its gaze.... And you are correct, that it was I who gave the orders. Forgive the heat of my words, for they were given as a result of my feelings for my subordinates. I dislike harm coming to those under me.]

The Destroyer Princess took a breath, letting her simmering anger fall under the iron yoke of discipline. [Then I ask you this, do you come to aid me then, where your sister chose not to?]

[I answered the call in order to make you understand what you did wrong and to ensure that you never attempt to do something so utterly foolish ever again,] Shinano said in a cold voice, her eyes flashing. [I will work with you Shadowed Wake Princess, but I will not serve you. Not after what you have done.]

Onami nodded at that. [Very well. Should I make such a mistake again, you are free to take my head...]

Turn 10
January 2021
3 Turns Until Blood Week
African Industry Fleet
@Hydrokinesis

Arabian Princess barely acknowledged her Demons, instead, she simply moved onto the dock and then turned to face you. "Thank you for graciously welcoming us into your home -- especially on such short notice. I would have liked to have contacted you sooner to let you prepare for our arrival, but I dare not risk the chance that the humans might intercept the communication and ruin months of your hard work.

"But I do not come empty-handed." Arabian Princess turned and gestured with her left hand toward a small barge being towed forward. It was full of resources. "A gift for you, Sister of the Deep. And an incentive for future cooperation between us."

Subira regarded the Princess before her with a soft smile. This would probably require all of her tact and her doing her best to avoid damaging her image in the eyes of a potential partner. Thankfully the cleanup did get done in time so she wasn't that disheveled and she felt she looked presentable. Subira even had her best dress on though to call it a proper dress was probably something of an overstatement, the thin material left little to the imagination with the wind making it hug her humanoid form. Thames was likewise cleaned up for the meeting with the spare books normally cluttering her chair put away for now.

"It is a pleasure to have you visit and I hope you enjoy your time here. My name is Subira, the African Indian Princess, and I also accept your gift. Though please let me supply you for your stay? It would hardly do for me to not offer such hospitality to a fellow Sister of the Deep." She took a step back and motioned towards the command building of her harbor. "Perhaps we can talk about what this cooperation will entail while comfortable? After such a long journey a moment of rest would no doubt be appreciated."

Arabian Princess did some sort of hand signal that Subira didn't recognize before she stepped forwards. "And I am known as Arabian Princess. Now please, lead the way. You would be correct that speaking comfortably would be appreciated."

Arabian followed along behind Subira and soon enough the two princesses and their demons were seated within Subira's occasionally used office. As per the rules of hospitality, there were snack items along with coffee and tea on the coffee table between the two Princesses.

"I trust that your travels were uneventful?" Subira inquired as she poured a cup of coffee for Arabian Princess then herself. Thames helped herself to a bit of tea when Subira pushed a saucer and cup towards Arabian Princess.

"My travels were uneventful and for that I am thankful." Arabian carefully picked up her cup and slowly brought it to her lips. "Uneventful travel also means there's still time to prepare and I see you have been doing well in that regard." Beside Arabian Princess, her demons hesitantly reached for snacks and happily ate them when there wasn't any objection from their Princess.

"Hah, yeah. Though there is still much more to do hopefully before anything kicks off. Humanity still does have the advantage, at least until we engineer it out of their hands." Subira took a sip from her cup before leaning back on her seat. Beside her, Thames nodded though the cruiser didn't add anything.

"I have noticed that that seems to be your goal, and you seem to be achieving good results. From what I can see you have come far in a short time and that is certainly impressive." After speaking Arabian Princess grabbed one of the cookies from the platter and quickly ate it. "Though that makes me wonder what your goal might be. Will you continue to build and develop or will you eventually burn and pillage?"

Thames glanced towards her Princess and Subira let out a contemplative hum. "I suppose the simple answer to that would be the former. Build and develop until the world is where I think it should be. At that point, we might even be in the stars with the world providing everything it can." Subira shrugged before helping herself to a cookie and mulling over her thoughts. "But that has me wondering about your visit. Now, if you don't me asking, what do you see us cooperating leading to?"

"My intentions when it came to us cooperating was one I saw as mutually beneficial. I will provide you with resources and you would provide me with ships." She takes a sip from her cup before settling back slightly, her posture still fairly rigid with her chin still held high. "Accompanying that there would be cooperation between our two fleets. A simple offer but one I feel should be satisfactory?" Her voice rose just a little to denote the question before she took another sip from her cup, smiling at the taste of the bitter liquid.

Subira mulled that over in her head for a moment before she nodded. "I believe I can agree to those terms. However, I do have a counteroffer, if you would care to hear it?" The small nod from Arabian Princess had her continue. "Should this partnership prove satisfactory, with us having ideals that line up, I will offer up control of most of my fleet in exchange for managing your facilities. An equal partnership with our forces joined and you, Arabian Princess, shall control the seas as I control the land."

The return trip was uneventful and soon enough the submarine was back to where she previously was, the Philippines. It took a little coordinating to meet back up with Hornet though the carrier had saved her the trouble of having to find the object of Subira's apparent desires. Beneath the two demons under a few hundred feet of water lay Musashi's wreck. Of course, a month wasn't enough to stop Hornet from thinking what was about to happen was bad. But I-17 tried her best to tune it out, Subira would be the best one to handle that in her opinion. She totally wasn't just shoving it onto her Princess's lap for her to handle because she didn't want to.

"So, poem time again?" Hornet asked as she idly looped around I-17, hair blowing in the breeze while her eyes watched the horizon. Above the two was a flight of attackers ready to provide cover should it be required... Or to ready to attack the ship about to be summoned. Hornet wasn't going to admit the latter was what she kinda hoped they'd do but the former was a perfectly valid reason to have them about anyway.

"Yes, and I hope it works. I don't want my Princess to be disappointed." I-17 got herself as close as she could to the wreck before starting,

"Kyōdo kigō,
Yoru no yō ni kuroi,
Uchi ni oide.
Kyōryokuna taihō,
Kantan'na egao,
Soshite tetsu no kabe,
Kantai ni sanka,

This time was the same as the last, her eyes were closed as she said the poem aloud. Though, unlike last time, the moment the energy finished leaving her I-17 opened her eyes. Before the submarine floated Musashi though she differed from how Hornet was talking about her. Instead of a blonde woman with twin tails like Hornet, a woman was sitting upon what could have passed as a throne with hair as black as night. There was also the pair of fluffy ears coming from the top of her head and the nine jet black tails behind her that Hornet hadn't mentioned before but the cocky smile was there.

"I, Musashi, have arrived! Thank you for allowing me to return and thank you for providing such a lovely poem. Now, where might my might be used?" As the kitsune spoke she leaned forwards and looked at I-17, very blatantly ignoring Hornet. The carrier definitely took some offense to this as she crossed her arms and may have pouted.

"Well, I don't know personally... But I'm sure my Princess has plans that involve you! Oh, welcome to the fleet of African Industry Princess and I'm I-17. Hornet's just over there too." I-17 pointed out Hornet and Musashi spared her a glance before looking back at the submarine. "...We should probably get moving to Madagascar."

It was at this point that Hornet finally said something while glaring at the battleship. "Musashi." She'd stopped her circling and was now standing close to the two Japanese ships.

"Yes, Miss America?" Musashi's smile got wider when Hornet frowned, the kitsune's tails swaying behind her.

"It's Hornet, actually, CV-12." Musashi nodded and Hornet continued. "Though I wouldn't mind Miss Hornet. But, since we're supposed to be working together... Truce?" The carrier doffed her hat and offered out a hand to the battleship.

Musashi eyed the carrier top to bottom before standing and stepping towards her. "I, Musashi, will agree to a truce only when it comes to fighting. Everything else is fair game, I think." The battleship shook Hornet's hand but didn't relinquish her grip immediately. "Matters of love will remain a battle, one I intend to win." The two started to stare each other down, their eyes never leaving the other even for a second.

"Heh, you're on Foxxy." Hornet smirked only to immediately frown when Musashi smirked as well. "Wait, fuck. Look, I was expecting you to be a dark-skinned blonde like during the war, I had insults prepared and everything. Since you're... Well, not that, I've got to prepare new material."

I-17 not-so-subtly cleared her throat which finally drew the two out of their staring competition. "I think you two can probably do... That as we sail back? I'd like to get a move on before we're standing around too much. I doubt my, our, Princess would appreciate us being lazy." I-17 fired up her engines and started moving slowly. Behind her, the two capital ships gave each other another quick look, both trying to out-smirk the other, before they finally started to move too.

Belligerent looked into the beast's eyes and watched as they shifted, grudging acceptance making way for understanding. And, gradually pulling back again as the last ebbs of the power faded, she smiled. There was a rumble in the beast's chest when it looked at her now, and she knew - she knew, that the beast knew, now. "Good," she said. "Very good."

A moment's consideration produced a plan, and she gave the beast its orders. "Go north," she said. "Guard the others that are preparing for the storm. I am protected here, and safe, with work to do. Go north, and I will follow in time."

The beast rumbled, and then turned, sliding out of the base and into the water.

Still lingering in the vicinity of Midway, Emden settled in to wait and think.

Kaga would have continued further south, had she not noticed the Abyssal-black steel and motions of familiar power moving around it. Diverting her course, she came upon the largely-completed form of an outpost and the figure of a battleship moving about it. Kaga sent out a ping to alert the figure to her presence, and the battleship turned - and Kaga could just about make out the battleship's face turning utterly flat as soon as she was seen, and the battleship began to come closer.

"Aircraft carrier Kaga, reporting in," she said. "I've been told to join the fleet of one Belligerent Burning Princess. Who are you?"

The flat glare on the battleship's face only intensified. "USS Arizona," she said.

"...Ah." The silence that followed was, in a word, awkward, with Arizona glaring and Kaga unwilling to speak.

"...I will be bluntly honest," Arizona finally said. "I do not like you. I accept that you were not the one who ordered my death, but nonetheless I cannot separate you from my sinking. I will cooperate with you, but if I am ever friendly with you that will not come to me quickly. Do you understand?"

"...Yes," Kaga said, with a shallow nod.

"Good," Arizona replied, glaring for a moment longer before turning sharply back towards the part-built outpost. "Then, as a fellow member of the fleet, you can help me finish this."

Something was off today. The seas seemed more restless then usual as the next summoning attempt was preapred. a slightly unsual one, not a warship, but a floating drydock. Nagato seemed to feel it too, if her shuffling was any indication.

"let a MOther once more unleash her children upon the seas, return to us!"

At first, nothing happend. had the summon failed? It was not until the sotrm brewing overhead flashed with errie green lighting that it became apperent. something out of the ordinary was happening.

the sky crackled with green lighting, geiger counters left on us by those putrid humans crackling to life, as was rose was not the floating drydock We expected, but a ship who had born the scars of the twin false suns, and then the scares of her nation turning on her, and endured until the bitter end. a cruiser even a battleship could respect.

"So..." Exeter finally spoke up. "Where's the new girl?"

Our team hit the ground running, and we started doing triage and bringing people in and treating them. It was... it was an emotional scene to say the least...."

Atomic Annihilation Fleet
@shinkiro
Pilotfish: Patrol
Atomic Annihilation Princess had tasked you and Maru to patrol soon after your Fleet's initial attacks on the human population centers within the Marshall Islands. Atomic Annihilation Princess had known that the attacks would attract attention from humans both outside and within the Marshall Islands and, having had time to learn about the number of ships present within the islands, wanted to know the moment other humans started to arrive.

It was mid-afternoon on the fifth day of your patrol when you managed to pick up on a number of incoming ships. Thirty five kilometers away, heading southeast, straight in the direction of the local human capital. An extremely large warship and a number of smaller warships presumably serving as the first warship's escorts.

Salt Lake City: Patrol
Atomic Annihilation Princess had tasked you and Pilotfish to patrol soon after your Fleet's initial attacks on the human population centers within the Marshall Islands. Atomic Annihilation Princess had known that the attacks would attract attention from humans both outside and within the Marshall Islands and, having had time to learn about the number of ships present within the islands, wanted to know the moment other humans started to arrive.

It was late in the evening on the eighth day of your patrol when you managed to pick up on a number of incoming ships. Twenty kilometers away, heading southeast, straight in the direction of the local human capital. A large, unfamiliar ship and a number of what looked to be cruisers of some kind.

African Industry Fleet
@Hydrokinesis
The Arabian Princes Continued
You watched Arabian Princess take your words all in, watched as she slowly mulled them over, processing every possible outcome that could come from this idea. You knew that it might be a long shot, but it was the only peaceful solution to the potential problem that the other princess presented so you waited as Arabian Princess thought it over. Finally Arabian Princess spoke.

"I am afraid that I will need further time to think over your proposal before I can come to a decision about it." Arabian Princess said, and while you had expected such a response, you couldn't help but feel a little disappointed.

Forgotten Discoverer Fleet
@Spectral Waltz
Z29: Searching For French Artifacts
Forgotten Discoverer Princess had tasked you with finding possible summoning catalysts for French Warships, and you were determined not to fail her. You searched high and low and, after a long couple of weeks, managed to find an artifact that matched the criteria that Forgotten Discoverer Princess had set out.

Event Action (These may be taken in addition to regular actions for the turn.)
[] L'Adroit Shard: Provides bonus to Destroyer Summoning Attempts. Can be used to summon L'Adroit with +2 Boosted Stats.
[] Calypso Wooden Rib: Can be used to summon a ship with +2 Boosted Learning Stat.
[] Espingole Shard: Provides a bonus to WWI Destroyer Summoning Attempts.
[] Colbert Scrap: Provides a bonus to Cruiser Summoning Attempts.

Hood: Infiltration Failed
You had barely slipped into the United Kingdom's territorial waters when a patrol boat managed to pick yo up. The patrol boat stalled for a long couple of moments after it had picked you up, and then it started to turn in your direction.

Event Action (These may be taken in addition to regular actions for the turn.)
[] Leave. (Do not Infiltrate. Security increased around the United Kingdom)
[] Attack. If no one's left alive to report your existence that counts as stealth, right? (Martial Roll) (WARNING! POSSIBLE EARLY BLOODWEEK!)
[] Reattempt Infiltration. You'll be warier than before, so it should be possible. (Intrigue Roll. Success means a successful Infiltration, but Security is still increased around the United Kingdom)
[] Pretend to be a lost swimmer? (Intrigue Roll. Success means you'll be let go while they scratch their heads. Failure means arrest)

Elusive Carrier Fleet
@Happerry
Elusive Carrier Princess: The Human
When Exeter returned, she returned with resources that she had obtained from three human warehouses and the bound, terrified form of the human that had led her to them. You could easily have disposed of the human after she had finished raiding the human warehouses, but had decided to leave the decision up to you.

Event Action (These may be taken in addition to regular actions for the turn.)
[] Kill the Human.
[] Do not kill the Human
-[] Perhaps he could provide you with entertainment. Keep him as a pet.
-[] Perhaps you could learn something from him. Question him about the nearby waters and those that inhabit them.
-[] Let him go.
