I don't really get why they're going for "recreate websites" first thing when we still need to concentrate to use the skill. I mean, wouldn't needing to recreate it every time mean that we'd get a reset every time we started it up?

The skill is about the recreation of websites. So I'm assuming that we will be able to store them in a database.
I imagine that it will allow us to show everyone the websites we are interested in showing at the moment.
The skills I that I think will be important to automate are these:
Being automatically shovel data around and respond to stuff going through our web will be essential if plan to facilitate the flora around ourselves, because there are a lot of plants around us even without a range extension from Wooden repeaters. And it might not be interesting to listen to the grass growing there might be useful data from knowing where the grass grows and where it gets hurt.

'Hello, fellow plants, can you call out your type? Are you grass, tree or some kind of shrubbery' the response came almost immediately, a flood of answers all in the single word grammar that remained consistent with all the plant "speech" I had seen, all of the messages except one of them that I was almost certain wasn't from a plant, almost only because there was always the chance that I wasn't the only living plant around these parts.
'Huh, who is this, where are you' a person a living human being responded to my message 'I am a tree, I don't know where I am who are you' the other person messaging me stayed silent for a few minutes for a moment I was worried they left 'are you joking trees don't have the [Message] skill, oh God this is one of Gunther's delayed message pranks of course no one else would be alive' ah I probably sounded like I was either deranged or pulling an ill timed joke 'No, no I am very much a plant a living tree, your hearing me though one of my Skills'...the line stayed silent. 'Hello, are you still there please don't leave me alone here. Please message me back' despite my pleas no one responded, leaving me with just the messages from plants that took longer to receive. I wonder if I came off as too desperate, maybe whoever was on the other end was busy, or maybe they had their own things to do in this burnt wasteland.

Rather than getting sad at being abruptly hung up on, I decided to instead distract myself with the Web, a nice distraction so I wouldn't notice the sun setting as I waited for the only other person besides me and my dryad to respond. Okay so word counter how did i want to do this, I focused on what I wanted and flexed my metaphorical magical muscles as the Web almost jumped to fill my immediate desire, a large page filled with words with a number next to them, most of them all changing at very rates, most of the plant related ones increasing as rapidly as i'd expect while a few other unrelated words slowly ticked up, perfect now Id know if there was a drought or another fire before it happened, I dropped focus on the effect and all the numbers went still no longer counting upwards focusing back on it caused them to start up again going upwards until I lost focus and it stopped again. Okay so it looks like anything I try and make will only work while I was focusing on it, that's probably a limit I could bypass by purchasing [Lesser automation] which from the name would probably unlock [Greater automation] maybe that one would let me make an artificial intelligence, which would be one step on the way to wooden robot maids, and with my decision having already been made I bought [Lesser automation] green dot displayed next to [Signal tree] disappearing, a reminder this decision was permanent.
With the new selection I felt a gentle buzzing in the back of my mind,it felt akin to a person holding my hands with their hands and trying to guide them, like they where trying to teach me something, the feeling faded away just as quickly as it came if I focused on it I could feel the barely noticeable presence in my soul. While I was busy focusing on ghostly sensations lesser automation had already gotten to work as the counter floating by my side no longer needed me to keep focus on it to keep counting up, it could probably be improved in a few ways, right now the counter was okay, but it would only tell me when a word was said in a rather inconvenient way, maybe I could link it up to a graph so I could see how the rate of words was changing, hm but to do that well I'd need. Way to track the time, lots of potential improvements to think about.

Focusing on using a skill I hadn't really been using since I realized it was better than just a scrapbook, I focused on recalling memories of whatever botany books I may have read, recalling the memories of other people where more difficult but my own jumped to my vision immediately, like an unwanted puppy that just wanted a home. Reading I learned what I knew was the basics about plants about chlorophyll and photosynthesis but it all felt like brand new information, it felt like I was remembering information that had been forgotten and was just on the tip of my tongue but not quite there, but became obvious once I got a hint at their existence as of they were always there and just laughing at how I didn't manage to see them the first time.
[General Skill: Botanical knowledge gained], hm why did that skill only pop up now, do I need to focus and think about things I'd want for skills in order to get them or do they come after some sort of threshold is reached? If I wanted skills based on knowledge from my old life would I need to study all over again.

I don't want to attention humans anywhere near us, humans can be greedy and selfish. And I don't want our daughter to encounter any bad people before we can protect her.
One of the things plants in real life regularly communicate is whether they are being eaten, and this allows them to prepare for threats when those threats are near.
