uplifting Westeros has got this far? I feel like I have to say this. No c a n a l s.

And we have a draw again, how interesting, this will be fun as it was last time.

Revolutionizing farming techniques is going to take years or decades, simply because people do not like change, as in they will double down, triple down and ignore us. Even the people who love Vissy will be hesitant to do this. Farming is their life and they will not change, not unless we have a working farm that out produces them on a yearly and decade long basis. Also the research could take decades to develop anything. There is just no incentive, yet for the people.

Maybe we will roll a nat 100?

4 crop rotations CAN be done. It just requires a lot of experimenting for the different climates in the seven kingdoms, which can survive the summers, which can survive the year long winter, documenting all of that.

But first it needs to start off small. We experiment with a small plot of land with various crops to see what works. If they work we get our needs to verify it, then we ask small time knights if they could dedicate small plots of lands for the crop rotations. If they work, the knights will tell their lords and they'll expand the experiments. From there we modify the crop rotations to work in very hot or very cold locations, the latter being very important incase year long winters occur.

ASSUMING we can even come up with the method. We'd, POTENTIALLY have an easier time having people accept any scientific method we come up with if it's notes on Old Valaryia techniques.

Unfortunately, Volcano territory means naturally rich soil where the costs of over farming are less severe, so that's unlikely. What we might be able to derive from old Valyrian records is the comparative richness of the soil and come up with fertilizer. Or, someone intelligent and science inclined working for us might.

Also I think the reach is fucking unnatural with their lands for growing so much at this time period and technology level! It has to have some kind of magic at play, maybe?

Hmm… ok maybe… and maybe rich with the blood of soldiers dying… like the iron born and reach people mostly. :p

....

What is going on here, the qm says fearfully.

Canals, crop rotations, and moments of mass murder.

Gods. The Second Dragon route seems cursed already.

Seasonal flooding of the mander and it's offshoots irrigating and enriching the soil with minerals from the rocky westerlands.
Also because the most fertile lands of the Seven Kingdoms are the Reach, the Vale and the Riverland, but the first is the only one that does not face constant threats killing its peasants and devoting funds to deal with it. The Vale has the mountain clans and the Riverland has constant attacks from the Ironborn.

They are very lucky because they can fully exploit their potential, they do not need to be magical.

If we had chosen the magical route I wouldn't mind trying to create such a ritual. But, oh well.

But QM, would we really be a Targaryen if we did not have random moments of desire for mass murder when we are planning to strengthen our kingdom lol?

We cannot shame the family name by losing such an essential trait, you know?

Edit:
And another argument for relaxing before important conversations.
You claimed a Dragon. Something changed with you, where you felt more prideful and far more aware, even alive than anything before but surely that is nothing, right?
It was said in the Achievements that Viserys is more proud after the connection with the Cannibal, add that to the basic high stress and feeling betrayed by the reactions he got from his siblings... If diplomacy wasn't his specialty and he had traits to help with that I would just declare the conversation a failure right away instead of just a "maybe failure" when it comes to trying to talk without relaxing first.

Its not like the stress will be more prominent if left undone, right? Right?! It depends on how people want to urgently deal with things.

Both of the leading plans favor dealing with our siblings now, so I'd say we favor urgently, and it's a difference of whether Viserys slows down to gather himself for the conversation ahead or pridefully pushes ahead while focusing on court instead.
