I don't know enough about canon to voice an educated opinion on the subject but from vibes alone Maegor is, icky.

Not "bad" per say, but someone who'd hang out with Ozai without a hint of shame.

He feels like he would crash the plane with no survivors if it means he won.

Considering we can't really take him in a fight even if we do manage to get a dragon or three on our side (Balerion is a nightmarish force multiplier) I'd really like if we could find a way to have him pissing out the tent rather than in.

The problem is that is exactly what happens in canon. Maegor is exiled, things go to shit, and with the faith uprisen and westeros at war, he comes back and takes the throne, and not as a nominal ally. Egg challenges him and dies. Basically, it's better to diverge and maybe resolve things in a way which puts us not at odds and with him for now and aim to build a better status quo and dodge the war entirely. Better egotistical ass of an uncle than fanatical religious military and an egotistical ass of an uncle who resents us for his exile.

Ok I'm changing my Maegor vote to this one! I've been convinced!

Yall really did a last minute canon break, we'll see if it survives.

    • How do we resolve ties here? Or was the earlier post you resolving it? If the answer is QM fiat I think compassionate pairs better with the charming vote. After all, we've asked for time with Aenys, and Maegor deescalating buys us time both in regards to the faiths response and the larger issue of Maegor and the succession.

    Well I would say coin flip overall, so I may just do that considering I hadn't even known it was a draw. I could have sworn it was 1 vote either side that decided this all.

    Hhm, maybe we can ask maegor if he can help us tame the Cannibal? I would imagine that he would give us more respect, maybe even see us as a potentially alternate heir in his mind? Or he can be in the background with Balerion, flying around near enough? Or would that just make the cannibal more tense?

    Didn't you read the Rhaena moment? Where Rhaena outright said who Cannibal was meant for?
     
    I don't remember?:???: I mean I know that rhaena and little vissy had a conversation about the Cannibal but that's it, I don't remember the details.

    Yeah kinda hard to ferment rebellion when the Dragon that eats fucking whales is just sitting in the corner and the guy who rides him is just begging for an excuse.

    I think his confusion is because one of the voter selected goals for Viserys is to openly be hand of the king. Rather than ruling from the shadows, Viserys is quite eager to serve the one that sits the iron throne, provided it's someone he trusts.
     
    Aaahh, no shadow king vis! No sneaking around making deals with creep and rude strangers of intrigue or negotiations. Or maybe set things up to burn the seven and the faith down?! The audacity! :V
     
    Well doesn't the hand rule too? To a degree. Vis has the love of the small folks right? At least on dragonstone, so we can maybe push for things subtly in a direction. Build up more of that loyalty by giving and being generous, helping the poor and downtrodden. Then have more loyal people who can sneak into the faith and sabotage, influence or inform us. And do the same in select noble houses who have power and influence.

    I have grand plans as you can see! Well that is if everyone agrees and if Dyeus is ok with it.
