Er when you say redeploy Brother and Saber do you mean to let Varian fight Archimonde? Because I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be a Berserker-Saber-Archer tag team moment. Illidan could also do something to prevent Archimonde from respawning. Since if a demon is not killed inside the Nether they can eventually revive themselves.
 
That's true. What are we going to do with varian. I thought we were calling saber to fight archimonde but that means Varian is without protection and that's unacceptable to our Brocon loving self.
 
Have Varian retreat to our side and/or continue cutting off Fel Orcs? Basically keep being awesome without suicidally charging against Archimonde. Heck he can be safe as long as the Kul Tiras Elite Marines and the Homonculi stick with him.
 
Hmm, actually. I think that's what the conjuror's are doing in the update. They're shuffling forces around to keep it from falling.
We might want to specify we're moving some humunculi and kul tiras marines to replace saber specifically though in protecting the hole and protecting varian.
 
Varian needs to be nearish Saber for her to fight effectively IIRC due to the Servant dependency?

And he's hardly weak either

Nah as long as Varian is supplying Saber with mana there should be no problem at all. I mean they're still on the same battlefield, just facing different enemies.
 
Yea. what Icefyre said. Remember. Shirou actually summons Saber to him on like 3 separate routes because she couldn't dematerialize and he wanted a relatively normal life so she stayed home while he went to school. She doesn't have Archer's range with Independent Action where he can be in an entirely different battlefield, but she doesn't need to keep by him.

Hell, there was a situation in Ataraxia. Where Shirou stayed behind on a bridge and Saber had to rush Archer on the top of a skyscraper at the edge of the city. And that was definitely more than a couple blocks away.

There's also the fact that unlike shirou. Saber actually has a competent connection to varian in comparison to the shoddy connection Saber had to Shirou thanks to Illya knowing what the fuck she's doing. Remember, we saw her skill thanks to her being able to link Shirou's senses from a park bench in the middle of the city to a tree MILES away near the einzbern castle. Using a similar connection to the servant bond.

Haha no, Gil murdered Illya on UBW, no chance of her being willing to summon him unless she has like a million command seals so she can order him to commit suicide after nuking Sargeras with Ea.

I'm pretty sure Illya had many more than just three command seals in Fat/Stay Night

EDIT: on that note I will say let's leave Gil alone, Illya isn't Hakuno
