Lord of the Arbor. I write to you in my brother's behalf to ask for the hand of your daughter Bethany. My brother is, as you know, the famous war hero of the Ninepenny Kings, the Blackfish. Closer ties between the Tullys and the Redwynes can only mean good things for the realm. What do you say, lord of the arbor?

I do believe that you speak of my dear cousin Lord Hoster, but yes I do believe that we could use stronger ties between the Reach and the Riverlands. If your brother says yes to the marriage then I will agree to it on her behalf, for your brother's exploits are very well known.

He does agree to the marriage. After a good long talk about the state of our house and the benefits of such an act, he has agreed to finally marry. To my great relief.

Name: House Baelish of the Fingers Lord of Mildor Point: Albert Baelish Seat: unnamed flint tower ("the Drearfort") Religion: The Faith of the Seven Words: none Season: Spring
The unnamed flint tower, referred to as the "Drearfort" by Petyr Baelish
Ser {Albert Baelish} (b. xxx, d. xxx), Knight of Mildor Point and founder of House Baelish.
His son, Lord Jasper Baelish (b. xxx), Lord of Mildor Point, raised to nobility for his services to Lord Arryn while fighting the Mountain Clans.
His Wife, Lady Alayne Baelish (b. xxx), Lady of Mildor Point.
His son, Petyr Baelish (b. 268) A clever and cunning boy for his age.
About House Baelish and Mildor Point:
House Baelish is a small one, making due where they can and just trying to survive and make it in the world. While they are nobility, the Baelishes live little better than well-off commoners.
The Baelishs are so poor, their "seat" lacks a proper name (instead being mockingly referred to as the "Drearfort" by the little Petyr, who is smart enough to already name over 200 Houses across Westeros). House Baelish's holdings comprise the smallest of the Fingers, and are located to the southwest of the Pebble.
The seat of House Baelish is an old flint tower. An open stair winds around the inside wall, and each floor has only one room. The ground level houses servants and dogs in the kitchen, the middle floor is a modest hall, and the third floor contains the lord's bedchamber. It has arrowslits for defense but no windows. A broken longsword and an oaken shield depicting the Baelish titan's head hang above the hearth.
The vicinity includes several flocks of sheep, a village of a dozen families near a peat bog, and a hermit's cave. Under good conditions, it takes only half a day to traverse the territory. There is no safe anchorage nearby for large ships due to the historically dreary weather and choppy waters around the Fingers.
An ever-present reminder of how lowly House Baelish is, the family lacks words like the other great and powerful noble families of Westeros.
The Lord of Mildor Point is Jasper Baelish, grandson of the first Baelish who crossed the Narrow Sea from Braavos to serve alongside Lord Corbray. He served with dictinction in the War of Ninepenny Kings, gaining the trust and confidence of Lord Tully in the process and providing hope for the next generation of Baelishs that their station in life will not be the same as at current. A skilled warrior and cunning man, Lord Baelish was the first in his family to be raised to the rank of Lord, for his services against the Mountain Clans on behalf of Lord Arryn.
Lord Baelishs' only son and heir is the young Petyr Baelish. While inheriting little to none of his father's martial skill, is seems abundantly clear that the young Petyr has inherited his father's intelligence, and more. By the age of 12, Baelish was beginning to teach himself to read with what little scraps of paper he could find (the Lord Baelish only learned to read upon becoming a Lord, in order to better communicate with his liege Lord Arryn). The young Baelish could recite almost the entirety of Westeros' Great Houses, and all of the Houses of the Vale at the age of 10. At age 12, Baelish quit memorizing the Seven Pointed Star, having claimed the tome to be "even more dreary than my home". Any promise for a career at the Citadel having been dashed by a lack of funds, and a future with the Faith of the Seven "entirely out of the question" in the words of Petyr, Lord Jasper sent the future of House Baelish to Riverrun to be fostered by Lord Hoster Tully. A fostering at Riverrun is perhaps the greatest gift to House Baelish. Not only is the future Lord Baelish able to obtain an education that can properly fine-tune his skills, but it comes for free.
One of the greatest strengths of House Baelish, if not the greatest strength, is the family's ability to cultivate and sustain friendships with more powerful men and families. The Baelishes have (for a few generations now), demonstrated a knack for resourcefulness and loyalty to those who call upon them for aid. With little to gain but likewise little to lose, House Baelish has developed a history of being friendly and helpful to more powerful and wealthy lords and nobles.
Lord Jasper Baelish. His young son Petyr is said to bear a striking resemblance to his father.
Economy: Impoverished
House Baelish possesses lands of almost zero monetary worth. What little incomes they have are usually eaten up by maintenance and providing for food, clothing, and shelter for their household. The family lacks any comforts that the status of nobility often provides.
Military:
House Baelish possesses enough men-at-arms to ward off brigands and bandits, though little more.
Despite their lack of numbers the family has a long martial history, though Petyr shows little interest in continuing the family tradition of serving as a sworn sword to greater lords.
Alliances, Agreements, Pacts and Trade:
Friends with House Tully of Riverrun
Sworn to House Arryn of the Eyrie
Problems:
Despite being members of the nobility, House Baelish is a poor family. Most merchant families in the Vale and across Westeros boast more wealth than the Baelishs.
House Baelish is one step above being mere knights, and only two steps above the status of hedge-knights and commoners.

The bloody roads need reworking again. It'll give some smallfolk work to do and if those doing the work don't bugger it up, they'll be useful workers for something actually exciting. Also Stannis won't stop writing letters about them.
Stannis has also shown an interest in finding out the shipbuilding capabilities within the Stormlands, in order to replace ships lost to Shipbreaker Bay.
My daughter Cersei, widely known as one of the fairest maidens in the land, seeks a husband since the Targaryens are too good for us I'm not salty at all worthy of her. A dowry of considerable size and the pride of being the husband to a child of the Rock await you.

My lord, i hear that you are planning a strike against those furry savages hiding in the mountains. I wish to come and lend my strong arm to your cause. Also Ned..i mean Eddard really wants to come along too, no need to ask him personally, it would just embarrass him. You know how Ned gets around people.
I miss you mother. Would father allow you to visit me on dragonstone. Elia has yet to get with child and I fear that she finds the castle too grim for her tastes, her Dornish kin cannot make the journey in good time so I fear you are the only family she can rely upon.

You can come along, if only because I know you will just go anyway. Ned can come along if he wishes. If he starts running back to the Gates of the Moon because you tried to surprise him I will be very cross with you.
Remember how you said you wanted to come along with Jon and his knights as they turn the clans into a smear of red paste? If not, let me remind you. We get to come along Ned! If Jon asks, you asked me to bring you along.

The night was black as they assembled. Ever slowly they had made the journey from Volantis, across the Narrow Sea to Westeros. While the vast majority of Westeros didn't follow the right path yet, they would come, they would see the true power of their Lord and follow his accent out of darkness.
R'hllor, The Lord of Light, the Heart of Fire, the God of Flame and Shadow.
All were now assembled. A single woman began to chant. "Lead us from the darkness, O my Lord. Fill our hearts with fire, so we may walk your shining path . . . R'hllor, you are the light in our eyes, the fire in our hearts, the heat in our loins. Yours is the sun that warms our days, yours the stars that guard us in the dark of night."
As the chant began a raging fire suddenly burst into flames. It lighting up the field where the group had assembled. The group responded as the woman watched the flames. "Lord of Light, defend us. The night is dark and full of terrors. Lord of Light, protect us."
The fire grew as the chant went on, a prayer said in the dead of night. The lone woman spoke again. "R'hllor who gave us breath, we thank you. R'hllor who gave us day, we thank you."
The fire grew to new heights. Its inferno now could be seen for miles as the flames leap into the air as if it was unnaturally fed. The chant came to a frenzy end. "We thank you for the sun that warms us. We thank you for the stars that watch us. We thank you for our hearths and for our torches, that keep the savage dark at bay."
A long moment passed. No words were spoken as the woman stared into the flames before her. Finally, after what seemed for eternity she spoke, her voice clearly heard by those assembled. "The flames spoke and I have seen our Lord's vision. We follow the right path, convert those we can. Soon all will follow the True Path. I see two Dragons clawing at each other, soon the rivers of blood will flow. We will be ready." She turned and glanced across the assembled. "Go forth, you know what you must do for the night is dark and full of terrors."
"Lord of Light, protect us." The assembled shouted, then slowly dispersed leaving only two standing by the raging flame.
A man spoke. "So it begins?"
The woman nodded. "I have seen it. The Lord will guide us."
"And Thoros?"
The woman smiled. "He has his mission, we have ours."
The man nodded. "The night is dark and full of terrors." He backed away from the woman as she turned to stare one more into the fire.
"The Lord of Light protect us. And may Westeros see that light."
Across Westeros more Red Priests are seen, making their way to King's Landing, Oldtown, Dragonstone, even as far as Dorne. Small groups shout out prayers to the Lord of Light, but the biggest assembly appear in King's Landing. Praising the King's use of fire...
