I only put JK here for the simple fact of I didn't think my joke answer would get that far last time. Reinforces my point of Agnus being best girl though.
 
So, Giano did gives us some pros and cons in the update for our choices, but I want to do a little analysis of our options there:

For taking the exam now, we have the pros of getting more pay faster, being more impressive if successful, and the prestige and relations of Hana faster. The cons are that we risks failing the exam, which would reduce our prestige substantially, and that the mission are likely to be harder if we pass, meaning more risks no matter what.

For taking the exam later, the pros is less risks of failing the exam thanks to us getting a better augment suite and less risk on subsequent missions due to said suite. The cons are being less impressive, less money slower, and slower development for our network of acquaintances in high places.

That's the easy parts to deduce, how this will influence our relationship with Parvati and her sister, or our nascent friendship with Ai 2.0 Maria, I do not know.
 
If we get to put on "a few simple jobs to start out with" we should still have some cash to buy a few last minutes augment upgrades.

I don't think going early would be too bad, but I'm not exactly sure going late is any better either.

It mostly depends on how hard we as readers want to work I guess. Since I'm sure that the missions that Hana "takes seriously" would be pretty hard.

Like sending us as either extra Hana support on Harder Urban Plagues to Urban Nightmare cases, or letting us handle solo cases similar to how Giano did way back with the Thorns.

Still can't believe we are grade 6 already tho. Time moves fast.

Well, 'already'. This Quest has been going for almost half a year and consistently updates every week.

It definitely feels like no time passed at all, though.


Just as a note though, you do not need to worry about Urban Plagues and up just yet. Even Hana Association is not going to send a Grade 6 against something that high unless it is a whole group of them under leadership by higher Grades or a related task that expects less danger. I am basing this off of what we saw of Fixer Offices in LoR's Urban Plague section; the only Grade 6 present is in Full-Stop Office, who probably hit outside of their weight class with the power of gun. Otherwise we have Dawn Office at Grades 3/4/5 (with Salvador being a veteran), Gaze Office at 5/5/4, and Wedge Office at 3/4/4 with the obligatory Philip to bring down the curve.

I see. Yeah, that's what I assumed anyhow.

We'll probably be fine I suppose. Still a bit hard to judge whether running head first is a good idea or not.

I kinda don't want to get a repeat of the Thorn office raid where we were kinda not pulling enough weight for the Office, like how we are now with galeforce ring and our augments+weapons.

So I guess I'll just stay on No team.

Hmmm, on the one hand, you need to take risks to be a Color, but on the other, we died several times on our last job just by being too close to the heavy hitters in the fight and couldn't get out of the way. I don't know what to pick
@Naron would we be able to buy something before taking the test or no? I feel like my confidence in us would be boosted if we got at least another augment before taking the exam, but I get it if it's too short of a time frame to get anything good.

We'll be doing the exam in a week or two, and given our wealth status as okay, I don't think we can buy anything that will make as much of a difference as it would if we just wait.

I need to mull it over, but Ciel does have the funds to buy something at the moment; it will not be world-changing, but it will not be crap either.

As a matter of fact, regardless of which vote wins right now, if the test happens its lead-up vote will be about what Ciel does to prepare. Be that calling in favours or blowing their money on an augment or item.
