The Great Plan was the design left by the Old Ones for the world, one that allowed them to take their place in the stage of the universe. That plan has cracked, faltered and fallen by the wayside. Of course, the Old Ones also left contingencies, of varied things and systems they'd seen on their travels.

When all is most desperate, is when the lights of mankind shine the brightest. That was the belief of the Old Ones that descended so long ago from the stars. Now, in Bretonnia and around the world, those lights have awoken.

If only Bretonnia wasn't drowning in woe.
Turn 0: The Herald of the End Times

BlackHadou

Bunny-Sensei
Within the great halls of the temple cities of Lustria, it was written many times what the herald of the Armageddon would be. It was Lustria that was granted the knowledge of the herald of the end, and Lustria that was charged first with the Great Plan to resist. In the many, many years since, untold amounts of suffering had been brought forth for the plan. Untold amounts of suffering, and yes, even the infection of Chaos, manifested and growing like a tumour in the north and south, a cancer that could not be expunged by mortals.

The Great Plan. The only chance left. That was the prevailing belief, of salvation even among impossibility, for the plan was almost certainly not possible to complete. The opportunity was gone, and far too much had occurred outside of the whispering of the prophecies left by the Old Ones. It was for the purpose of divining the meaning of the Great Plan that the slann, great priests of the Old Ones in the shape of huge, bloated, toad-like creatures, meditated.

And of the slann, the greatest was considered to be Lord Mazdamundi of the Second Spawning, amber, slimy flesh almost melting into the dark of his meditation chamber. The platform he sat upon was actually quite small, considering his girth, but his eyes were closed in deep meditation, and thus its size did not bother him.

The slann often slept for extended periods. Mazdamundi could have meditated on the edge of sleep for decades easily. However, he did not allow his mind to drift so deeply into meditation. To do so would be to invite the lethargy that had struck down his kin. Nay, he must retain a degree of awareness, even in meditation, lest all become lost.

If he fell into meditation now, it would be likely that he simply would not wake up before the end of all things, for the end was fast approaching.

"The bear god wails." The thought flitted into the elderly slann's head, sent from another of his brethren. A telepathic communion, an urgent communion. "The final sign. The end is upon us."

The end. It was such a terrifying thing. Yet at the same time, Mazdamundi could only regard it with the same thought as one lifting weight off ones back, for the Great Plan knew not mercy, and demanded perfection.

After all, the lizardmen had failed from the outset. The Great Plan, as it were, was still in its infancy, instructions from long ago. That was not the purpose of the roar, or indeed, many of the plaques he'd studied so long, though.

The Great Plan was not just instructions for the idealised reality, a universe of which the mortal realm was really such a small, insignificant part of. Rather, it was also layer upon layer of contingencies, of prophecies to avert disaster.

Yet on this prophecy, he was torn. What he had to do was so very clear. Did he have the courage to do it, knowing that there would be no seeing it through to the end? The very idea of it all seemed abhorrent. It tormented his sleep, and made him wish so dearly for counsel long gone.

After all, the First Spawn might know what he was faced with, understand the sacrifice he'd been charged with. The plaques were clear. There was no other slann he would entrust such an endeavour to. It was a merciless, ignoble end, yet a passing of the torch, and hope, to mortals.

The lizardmen had fundamentally failed. Perfection was not possible and the Great Plan was riddled with errors. Yet even in that imperfection, the Old Ones had seen a possible future, a ideal future, and left instructions to achieve it.

Yet at the last, Mazdamundi felt torn. Could he dare take that last, dreaded step?

Could he ever forgive himself for not doing so?

The years weighed on him. The longer he deliberated, the more weeks and even months were lost. How long had passed since news of the roar reached him? Was it still hours, or-

GRAAAAAAAAAAAAHR!

Days. Nay, it had been days, for the roar to pierce the shroud of chaos and reach the realm of mortality. Each moment the great priest delayed, time would slip away from him. It was a cruel fantasy, a nightmare made real.

"The warm-bloods gather. Chaos rips through the veil."

"Summon the Wanderer."
Lord Mazdamundi's thoughts cut into the veil. "The Defender remains at Konquata. They may assist in breaking Chaos hold in the times to come."

"You foresee something, elder?"

"In a sense. The Chaos gathers in the lands of warmbloods, of men, does it not?"

"It does."
In one hand, Mazdamundi held the future of Hexoatl. The great city would be besieged, and without him, would certainly fall. Yet at the same time…

Sometimes one must trust in the contingencies of the Old Ones. He had read the signs. He understood what needed to be done. It was almost cruel of the Old Ones to leave him a prophecy of the results of his actions. In doing this, he would doom the City of the Sun.

No. Perhaps that wasn't true. After all, the prophecy was predicated on his inaction. This was another form of resistance and perseverance. The threads of chaos pulled tranquility every which way, but at the same time, one pure thought remained clear through it all. There might be no other way.

Mazdamundi did not have to like it.

He pulled himself from his meditations with the strength of will that one with purpose could only possess. His great fingers folded in his hands, as he lamented the monumental task before him.

The skinks rushed to attend to him, but the slann held them still with a raised hand.

"Unneeded. Send missives to the west, to Konquata. Send missives to the Wanderer. Tell them to seek Chaos." The slann declared, as he slowly drew himself from the ground. "I wish to see Zlaaq. Assist me."

The skinks almost tripped over themselves to assist. In their own way, they played a part in the Great Plan, something so small and insignificant, yet in bringing him comfort, they gave him the strength to do what he must.

And so, at the coming of dawn, the great slann priest hovered above the walls of his temple, his great stegadon huffing beside him, in preparation of the last great work. In the twilight of his life, perhaps, the Great Plan would come to fruition.

He simply wouldn't be there to see it.

-
To say that only one point of light answered the call of salvation of the lizardmen would be an understatement. They were not human, but their need was recognised to be in the defence of man and answered all the same. Nay, the true number was far closer to two hundred total, near and far.

However, two of those lights were drawn together. Soon they were joined by more as they shattered the breach of reality, coming from a world of Man to one descended into chaos. Perhaps it was the common root they shared of the Crystal Spider that allowed them to do so, or maybe it was something else.

Reality was a fickle thing, after all.

A new world. A new journey. It shouldn't have been possible; after all, possibilities that were denied were meant to vanish, however, sometimes the world and the will of man showed an aspect of kindness. It was unexpected, to be sure, but it was something that happened on occasion all the same.

In truth, Arturia had hoped for far more kindness in the future, as she dusted off her tunic as the light faded of her summoning, and turned her attention to the world around her. Her staff was easy enough to lean against, and the fields reminded her of Britain. In the distance, she could see castles and towns.

Nothing that so obviously necessitated a call for salvation. Perhaps the problem was an insidious poison in the earth, or some other malady of the mind…

"You look too serious." The blond girl's gaze went to her left, past her staff, to the red haired man who'd formed out of light beside her. His appearance was slightly different then she remembered, but he was still the same. White sleeves billowed around his wrists, hiding the ashigaru gauntlets on his hands from view, a light piece of cloth on his chest over the traditional pants and waist-guard of a Japanese archer. He was contradictory in the extreme, given, from her memory, he was a blacksmith.

"Is that a problem?" Arturia asked softly. The man just shook his head.

"No. Just…" He paused, pondering, before shaking his head, as if trying to clear away the dysphoria of summoning. It was in that moment, that Arturia was sure that he was not quite the same Senji Muramasa that she had once known.

Yet his lips twisted in something resembling kindness, and she understood. It wasn't that he wasn't Senji Muramasa, but that he'd been tempered in the experience of the world that was not.

He was someone new now.

More light flittered past her ear, and Arturia glanced back. Her lips threatened to crack into a grin. Alas, it was not quite a noble quest, but it seemed that there would be plenty of company.

For they were seven. In many ways, as it should be. Seven lights descending on humble Bretonnia in the throes of its woe.

- Arturia Avalon (Caster) has joined your retinue as your Legendary Lord.
- Senji Muramasa (Saber) has joined your retinue as a Legendary Hero.

Select five servants to have been summoned with you. The format is as follows:-
[ ] Servant Name
-[ ] Servant Class

For example:-
[ ] Cu Chulainn
-[ ] Lancer
[ ] Circe
-[ ] Caster
[ ] Herakles
-[ ] Berserker

You should keep in mind the compatibility of servants. Adding someone like Gilgamesh to your retinue would be troublesome in many ways.

Each player may vote for up to five servants. The five top servants will win.

System Information
The quest runs on a modified CK2 system utilizing a D10 for ability checks. Lord characters possess five main stats, Diplomacy, Martial, Stewardship, Intrigue and Learning. Generally speaking, these stats are used in the same way as in CK2, but are repeated below for posterity:-

Diplomacy: How effective the character is at negotiating and pleasing the people.

Martial: How effective a character is in personal combat and leading troops in warfare.

Stewardship: How effective the character is at managing a kingdom, logistics, and other things of a similar nature.

Intrigue: How effective the character is in manipulating others, scheming and pulling off intrigue plots.

Learning: How well learned a character is. This can be further modified by traits to apply to specific knowledge areas; a character with high learning is merely smart, a character with high learning and a trait that allows them to use magic is also knowledgeable at magic.

These stats are further modified by traits, which give bonuses or penalties to stats based on conditions. A check is made by rolling a D10, adding the relevant stat (plus modifiers), and comparing it either to a DC or opposed roll made by another character. If the character rolls higher, they win the roll and succeed at their action.

You control a Legendary Lord, as per the Total War: Warhammer games. In this case, that Legendary lord is Arturia Avalon. Over time, she will develop into a leader of men against the End Times. To facilitate this, you have been given additional 'Legendary Heroes', or Servants, to serve as part of her retinue. Remember, Servants are humans so notable and powerful they can act individually at a scale most would lead armies or organisations at.

Each turn will cover the span of a single month. The year is 2520 IC / 1542 BC, during Bretonnia's Year of Woe. Your starting region is Bretonnia.

You are not the only servant who was summoned, and not all Servants are on the side of man. While heroes might see humanity through to the next dawn, there are self-serving villains and monsters who seek to further their own agendas with their newfound second life.

It's sorta like a dragons breath. Its not subtle at all and really only good for blowing things up.

You would be shocked how useful this actually is.

When rolling Stewardship to run a blacksmithy or workshop, or performing a related task; quadruple your ability score.
Geez, please don't tell me you've been stolen by the evils of consumerism!

War Adjunct
Reduce Martial skill to a third in warfare situations unless attached to a Legendary Lord as an adjunct. When acting as an adjunct, replace the Martial skill of the attached Legendary Lord with Muramasa's.
Individually, we aren't much, but I have the experience and you have the voice.

Reality Marble: Originless Creation of Swords( Tsumukari Muramasa)
Ignore all forms of invincibility for one attack. Mortally wounds self afterwards.
My whole life, just for this one swing!

Ha, magic? You wish!

Charisma
When rolling to convince others, roll 2d10 instead of 1d10. When rolling to prevent your unit breaking, roll 2d10 instead of 1d10.
Wanna see what this bastard can really do? Hope you don't like your kingdom!

Stack the Books
When rolling to make use of finances and other infrastructure developments, roll an additional 1d6. This result is added afterwards to find additional finances to grease the wheels.
The quickest way to get the people to work is to shower them with luxury.

Knight of the Round Table
???
You aren't father.

Deathless
In hopeless battle situations, roll 2d10 instead of 1d10. You must be killed twice before you die. Susceptible to Khorne corruption.
Bring it ya bastards! I'll drag you all to hell with me!

Clarent Blood Arthur
Roll an opposed martial check against an enemy battalion. On success, the battalion is shattered. If you succeed by more then five, the enemy battalion is obliterated. Recharges after 1d6 warfare rounds. Two uses. After the second use, the battle becomes hopeless regardless of enemy numbers.
I am no king, but I walk the path behind the king. Taste my resolve.
Sakamoto Ryouma
Age: 33
Height: 5'9
Weight: 72kg
Gender: Male
Alignment: True Neutral
Class: Lancer
Hidden Attributes: Human, Elemental, God, Dragon, Blessed of Mt Ooe

Diplomacy: 18
Martial: 9
Stewardship: 7
Intrigue: 11
Learning: 14

Traits
Magic Resistance
Roll an opposed Martial check against incoming magic. On success, the magic fails.
I'm afraid that I'm not very good at dodging magic. See, I have a rather big target on my back.
He means I am drawing magic towards him.

The Great White Snake of Takachiho
Assisted by Oryou in all things. Add 1d6 to all rolls in relation to martial or magic matters. Subtract 1d6 in relation to all rolls in regards to management and assassination matters.
She is very handy, but she also likes frogs.
Shush. Frogs are tasty.

Unifying Dragon
When negotiating with multiple lords simultaneously, roll 2d8 instead of 1d10.
We should all sit at the table and have some nice miso soup.
… Ryouma. There is no miso here.

The Rough Ones
While hidden within a settlement, roll intrigue against the lord of the settlement. On success, a Bakumatsu Office is established within the settlement and starts working against the lords goals.
Leave it to me. I'll slow the problem down.
You mean you'll adopt another Okada.

Nail of the World: Ama-no-Sakahoko
Attacks made by this lord are magical in nature, and as a result, can always harm demonic foes regardless of their traits. Immune to all Chaos corruption. Always afflicted with Corruption (Oryou).
Technically, it's a nail that creates landmasses.
Oryou should point out that is such a simplistic explanation that it explained nothing.

O' Dragon, Conquer the Expanses of Wadatsumi
Transform Oryou temporarily into a divine dragon. In this state, the trait 'Purge Defence' is obtained and attack all nearby units simultaneously. Recharge 1d6 turns.
Take it, Oryou.
Aye, let us soar to heaven.

Purge Defence (Normally inactive)
Immune to non-magic attacks. Immune to all attacks and magic that roll less then an 18, regardless of opposed checks.
Oda Nobunaga
Age: 23
Height: 5'4
Weight: 50kg
Gender: Male
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Class: Avenger
Hidden Attributes: Earth, Demon

Diplomacy: 14
Martial: 9
Stewardship: 14
Intrigue: 17
Learning: 12

Traits
Avenger
Vulnerable to all types of Chaos Corruption. However, while corrupted, gain 1d10 to all related rolls to the corruption. All forms of corruption purge in 1d6 turns from the first corruption.
The corruption of a demon, huh? I'll show you a real demon.

Strategy
When fighting personally, reduce martial score to 6 unless [Ranmaru] is present. If leading a battalion specialising in rifles, increase martial score to 13.
I will admit the frontlines are not for me.

Master of the Court
If your intrigue is higher then the opponents, add 1d10 to your roll. If your intrigue is lower then the opponents, subtract 1d10 from your roll.
Well… it can't be helped.

Unifying the Nation by Force
When facing opponents of a lesser technology base, magical nature, or divinity on the battlefield, roll 2d10 instead of 1d10.
Three worlds. Rotate. Kill them all.

Fool of Owari
Roll 1d10 at the start of a turn. On a 1, Nobunaga becomes distracted by some sort of flight of fancy and is otherwise uncontrollable. Disables during military crisis.
Well, at the time they called my Kippoushi, but this form is after I was called the demon king.

???
???
It's not time to reveal this.
Beowulf
Age: 78
Height: 6'1
Weight: 81kg
Gender: Male
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Class: Berse- -> Alter Ego
Hidden Attributes: Earth, Dragon, Monster, Crown Candidate
Note: The salvation of a world is no place for a man mad with fury. I will take the stage.

Diplomacy: 7
Martial: 20
Stewardship: 7
Intrigue: 6
Learning: 11

Traits
Beowulf the Berserker
In battle, the hero is completely unbreakable and inspires all nearby retinues to fight even when shattered. All penalties from morale or disadvantageous positioning is negated. Chaos Corruption is negated and all opposed rolls to check for corruption on Beowulf are considered to roll a 0.
Stand tall. The foe may breath fire. The foe may be of death itself. I. Do. Not. Care. BEOWUUUUUULF!

The Kind King
When using Diplomacy or Stewardship in order to assist the people of a settlement, double them. However, the excesses he showers on his people out of love, while it fosters loyalty, is also hard on the coffers. If a revolt occurs within ones territory, Beowulf will automatically move to put it down.
For the weak, kindness. For the wicked, vengeance.

A Quiet Life
Halve all construction times within the settlement that Beowulf is within. However, if the settlement is threatened from minor threats, Beowulf will automatically move to remove them.
For the people, toil. For the monstrous, death.

Hrunting and Naegling
This hero's attacks are always considered magical. When fighting demons and monsters, add 1d10 to all Martial checks. Against demons and monsters, this hero always does at least the minimum amount of damage, even if they are invincible.
My swords are trustworthy. No, I don't need a walking stick, get me a knee brace you fool!

Weak to Poison
Due to dying from dragon venom, Beowulf is weak against poison, and does not get a second death save if struck down by poison. Since the poison must be draconic in nature, this weakness is more narrow then it appears.
All things end. It is quite simple.
Sanada Yukimura
Age: 31
Height: 5'6
Weight: 77kg
Gender: Male
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Class: Lancer
Hidden Attributes: Earth, Oni

Diplomacy: 5
Martial: 16
Stewardship: 7
Intrigue: 15
Learning: 8

Traits
Magic Resistance
Roll an opposed Martial check against incoming magic. On success, the magic fails.
It's the Oni Blood, I'm afraid.

One Hundred Year Hero
Yukimura Sanada counts as a battalion on his own, and cannot be attached to other units. When making rolls in warfare, add 1d6 to the result.
They say one like me occurs every one hundred years, but I feel like I accomplished far less then Musashi.

Sanada Brave | Ninjutsu
This Hero can impede the enemy and conduct all espionage actions. If he succeeds in an Intrigue check against opponents, he can subvert their facilities and intentions to the cause.
Leave it to me. I'll be back soon. If I come back wearing make up, please don't comment on it.

Rapid Training
When rolling Stewardship to train units, double Yukimura's Stewardship score. When rolling learning to equip units correctly, halve Yukimura's learning score.
Now, now. Here's the right length spear. The techniques of the Sanada require a long shaft.

Deathless
In hopeless battle situations, roll 2d10 instead of 1d10. This hero will never break in combat. Susceptible to Nurgle corruption.
You have taken your last step. Your head is mine!

Blazing Sengoku Demon
Attacks made by this unit deal fire damage. If he rolls more then five higher then the opposing units Martial score, that unit is shaken, or if it is shaken, it breaks.
This is where you die. I'm not trapped here with you. You are trapped here with me.

Grail Chapel (Unknown Condition)

A small settlement in the western plains of Quenelles, ravaged by the Tzeentch horde. The population has been decimated by the recent fighting, and very few of combat age are left due to being conscripted into the Duke's armies to defend the realm. The village appears to have been the unfortunate location of recent combat, however, there is no chance the forces gathered here could have fought off the hordes of Tzeentch. They must have received help.

Let's see...

[X] Leonardo DaVinci
-[X] Caster
[X] Lancelot
-[X] Lancer
[X] Mordred
-[X] Saber
[X] Jason

[X] Hercules
-[X] Archer

I'm very tempted to go with Baba Yaga, but I don't think anyone would go for that.

These are also probably terrible picks anyway.

[X] Oberon
-[X] Pretender
[X] Arjuna
-[X] Archer
[X] Ryouma
-[X] Lancer
[X] Nobunaga
-[X] Avenger
[X] Mordred
-[X] Saber

So, reasoning.
Oberon: It'd be funny. More seriously, I want to see more of him and Arturia interacting, and he'd certainly have a huge Intrigue. Having him around'd definitely blow up on us to some extent or other, but having him on our side'd also help before and possibly after then.

Arjuna: Full Hindu Hero, plus experience commanding armies. We've got big martial here. In addition, Gifted Hero, skilled at doing prince stuff for managing a kingdom, personality isn't going to cause conflict within the group, and the Christmas event's even shown he's got some decent Intrigue/Learning as well. Mainly Martial, but he's good all-around too, with no real downsides.

Ryouma: Honestly, I was just looking for a hero I'd see as really high "Get's get everyone together to work towards a common goal" energy, and he was the best I can think of. Him and Oryou are fun as well, so it'll be nice to see him. He's Lancer because that's... basically just Rider but with a divine lance, and he and Oryou are just stronger than the Rider variant. Divine lance and very durable almost-dragon puts him as at least decent Martial, he's also pretty good with Intrigue in... pretty much all his appearances, and his main claim to fame, IIRC, is putting together a revolution so Diplomacy's going to be high. In addition, no personality conflicts... Generally just good.

Nobunaga: Stewardship? Nobunaga's economic reforms were as impressive as his warfare. Learning? Not so much in terms of a scientist, but Nobunaga's good at taking things and getting them implemented on a wider scale. See how guns became a major tool in battle and all. Diplomacy? Where'd Nobunaga get the guns in the first place again? She isn't gonna be turning enemies into allies or simmering down tensions, but I imagine she'd be good at working out mutually-beneficial deals with neutral parties. Martial? Not much for raw strength, but very good with armies. Also, since a lot of the enemies we'll be facing are Chaos... How're bodies formed of magical energy, powered by shards of warp gods going to deal with anti-magic, anti-god bullshit? Type matchup's definitely worth a Trait there. Also, Nobunaga is fun.
Ended up going Avenger because well. Why not? I legit can't think of a strong argument in favor of Archer.

Mordred: Mordred's fun, and Hadou also likes her. Also, she's got a combination of good martial, good intrigue (Oh yes, Mordred, son of Arthur and the end of Camelot, no intrigue there. She's direct out of choice, not because she can't be subtle.), and Stewardship. Artoria's equal as a king and doesn't have the downside of confusing "Two main characters with the same name" writing.

Voting isn't by plan in this, but I'll call this "Plan Long Haul" all the same:

[X] Darius III
-[X] Rider
[X] Sima Yi
-[X] Assassin
[X] Sanada Yukimura
-[X] Lancer
[X] Setanta
-[X] Archer
[X] Scylla
-[X] Caster

Darius for high Stewardship and effective resource provision with excellent aptitude for protracted and repeated conflict, Sima Yi as a tactical monkey wrench for stalemates and backpedal engagements in large scale military confrontation, Sanada for a blend of effective leadership and combat ability to be an inspiring commander and both literal and figurative spear to break through enemy forces and keep up morale when things are dire as a counterbalance to Artoria's exploding crtifails and poor self-esteem, Setanta as an irritating wall to choke up enemy forces and bottleneck engagements.

For Caster I was initially thinking of Circe as someone with a nice blend of combative and supportive magecraft as opposed to Artoria's thief-mate hybrid build, but Circe's tendency to get lovestruck and lost in passions is worrisome and part of me wants to see what angle the writer can spin on Scylla.

[X] Arjuna
-[X] Archer
[X] Nobunaga
-[X] Avenger
[X] Mordred
-[X] Saber

Agree with @Nanimani on these three for all reasons, and they put us with a rather stacked team for many things. Nobu in particular I think could also help a fair bit in making Imperial alliances effective later on. Assuming we can swing those.

The biggest issue I can see is a lack of intrigue, for which we need someone skilled in plotting and planning. If anyone, I think my first thought suggestion would be:

[X] Tamamo-no-mae
-[X] Caster

Though I suppose we would have to keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't go malicious on us. Her legends are a bit tricky in terms of motivations.

Which just leaves a fifth, Martial is thoroughly covered both on the personal power and the tactical/strategic level. Stewardship is well-handled by our current picks. I think our weakest two with this spread are probably general diplomacy and intrigue...

Which means that if Nani's is play out as suggested, I think I'd go with Lancer Ryouma too actually.

[X] Ryouma
-[X] Lancer

[X] Abigail Williams
-[X] Foreigner

This is partially pure love for her, but she would be highly useful when dealing with the insanity causing nonsense of the setting and having someone capable of opening portals would be helpful. Plus as a foreigner she follows her own rules which will help counteract any warp fuckery.

[X] Himiko
-[X] Ruler

An experienced ruler with a selection of abilities for purifying things and essentially future sight abilities.

[X] Xu Fu
-[X] Alter Ego

Talented mage with the ability to create settlements and possessing ways to kill Immortal which is extremely useful.

[X] Yu Mei Ren
-[X] Assassin

Honestly mostly because I love Paisen and want to make Xu Fu happy.

[X] Koyanskaya of Light
-[X] Assassin

Hire NFF services to get all the advanced weapons we need.

[x] Gaius Julius Caesar
-[x] Caster
[x] Iskander
-[x] Rider
[x] Beowulf
-[x] Berserker
[x] Michiel de Ruyter
-[x] Rider
[x] Old Man of the Mountain
-[x] Assassin

These picks are based on what will be useful in the Mortal Realms. Caesar is a consumate politician and diplomat, and he, Iskandar and De Ruyter are brilliant commanders, which will definitely come up considering the nature of Warhammer. Having a naval Servant will significantly help in the campaign. Beowulf is a beatstick to kill big stompy monster with, and King Hassan is there for sneaking missions and dueling.

[X] Ryouma
-[X] Lancer
[X] Ereshkigal
-[X] Lancer
[X] Nobunaga
-[X] Avenger
[X] Old Man of the Mountain
-[X] Assassin
[X] Mordred
-[X] Saber

Editing my vote, after learning just how bad of an idea Gil and Enkidu would be, and learning that Constantine's NP apparently has a limit of 7000 people, which makes him less capable of defending cities than I thought he'd be. Gotta agree with other people on Ryouma, Nobu, and Mordred, and Old Man of the Mountain remains my go to choice for a monster/hero murdering machine. Lastly, I think Ereshkigal would be a really good choice for counteracting Nagash, the vamps, and maybe salvaging souls from Chaos? Plus she's a Rin who doesn't have a trash personality like a certain Goddess of Love.

... You know part of the point was not being restrained by canon classes or servants...

Also do you really think Gil and Enkidu would stick around?

My shortlist, not a vote:
Saber Rama. Good for demon slaying, was a king that successfully ran a kingdom and can command armies. His other NP can also make him function as any of the Knight classes. Another heavy hitter like Arjuna could also work.

Sakamoto Ryouma. Lancer or Rider, he's got diplomacy chops and a good head on him. Can probably stabilize problematic Servants. Probably vulnerable to assassins, looking at you, Clan Eshin.

Caster Nitocris. Egyptian magecraft, good vs. undead, has item creation. Someone who can help with Nagash.

Ruler Himiko. Anti-demon, Stewardship, future sight, low maintenance personality. Can run a country and punch out daemons.

Rider Odysseus. Good as a general, can hold his own as a combatant. Sima Yi, Zhuge Liang, Tai Gong Wang or someone similar could also work.

Saber Fionn. His wisdom can work wonders and he's a leader of knights. Don't sleep on him, he's not too far off the likes of Saber Artoria and similar.

And someone for the secret squirrel stuff. Hundred Face or Cursed Arm?

Hundred Face apparently had difficulties writing. Cursed Arm would be better, but realistically there's a lot of Assassins that could work. Yan Qing, for example, would probably be better.

My hope would be that Enkidu would be amenable to sticking around with us, as the servants represent the best chance to protect both the humans and nature, both things Enkidu likes, and thus, Gil would stick around, with the presence of Enkidu hopefully mitigating his Gilness. A gamble, to be sure, but where's the fun in safety? If anything after some more thought, dumping Gil for someone else and keeping Enkidu at the least might be a good idea, an anti-Divinity servant on par with Gil like Enkidu would be incredibly helpful I'd bet. Sorry about the class thing though, that was just how my choices sorta panned out...maybe I'll drop Nightingale for someone else, she really was kind of a token Berserker choice now that I think of it.

Have you read Strange Fake?

[X] Sitonai

I don't have a problem :V

[X] Nobunaga
-[X] Avenger

[X] Ibaraki Doji
-[X] Ruler
This one I do actually have logic for, and it's mostly that Ibaraki is a) a hero of justice, b) actually pretty good at commanding, and c) if she's Ruler she might by nature or by necessity be more accommodating. And if it doesn't work out, well, another run of what happened in Babylon probably isn't that bad an outcome.

I also think it would be both funny and interesting to watch.

[x] Michiel de Ruyter
-[x] Rider
[x] Sanada Yukimura
-[x] Lancer
[X] Mordred
-[X] Saber

These ones just seem like they fit well to me but eh.

Look, they'd both just immediately go off adventuring. They'd certainly kill a lot of Chaos and other threats, which is good for the world at large, but this shit isn't Gil's planet, so "Adventure with best friend" is more important than optimal chances of success.
You could argue that it's better for the world in general that they're summoned together, but it puts us out a couple of Servants.

Okay, since the votes so far are very scattershot, I'd like to propose some categorization so we can be relatively sure that all of our bases will be covered. Five positions, one for each major stat.

Envoy - Diplomacy
General - Martial
Steward - Stewardship
Spymaster - Intrigue
Scholar - Knowledge

So the votes would be formatted as:
[ ] [Envoy] 'servant'
-[ ] 'class'
[ ] [General] 'servant'
-[ ] 'class'
[ ] [Steward] 'servant'
-[ ] 'class'
[ ] [Spymaster] 'servant'
-[ ] 'class'
[ ] [Scholar] 'servant'
-[ ] 'class'

Or in the case of my earlier vote:

[X] [Envoy] Arjuna
-[X] Archer
[X] [General] Oda Nobunaga
-[X] Avenger
[X] [Steward] Mordred Pendragon
-[X] Saber
[X] [Spymaster] Sakamoto Ryouma
-[X] Lancer
[X] [Scholar] Tamamo-no-mae
-[X] Caster

It wouldn't be a perfect system obviously, all servants have a ton of overlap. But it would help us coordinate a little. Everyone who's voted already please consider editing your votes to include categorization?

Maybe just catagorise it above your vote? Otherwise you might start dividing them. Its not necessarily a bad idea, since it gives some focus.

I was trying to make the tally more comprehensible to you by doing that but if you insist?
