Dratini Turn 1: Recall
Pineco Turn 1: Self Destruct
Dratini Turn 2+: Paralyze V as well as D with Thunder Wave.
V moved first, shouting at D to split their attacks between Growlithe and Dratini, clearly expecting Pineco to intercept one of the attacks. A fraction of a second later, V's Zubat used Astonish on Growlithe. Yet the fire-type simply accepted that it would land, using the moment to throw out an Ember at D's Zubat, bringing it a third of the way to fainting in exchange for only light damage.
V was visibly frustrated at that, "D, get ready to run, we're outmatched." Perfect timing considering Dratini managed to evade the other Zubat's attack, feinting a move in one direction before leaping in the other.
Looking at the situation, D seemed to agree picking up a Chansey with moderate effort and directing a taunt at the two trainers, "You got it V, next time then girlie~"
"Pineco," Violet began, having formulated a plan to ensure they don't get away. "Self Destruct." A red beam emitted from Dratini's Pokeball, bringing the Mirage Pokemon into a relatively safe place as Pineco hummed an agreement and began to glow.
"You - " V began, her eyes widening. "Stop it Zubat!"
"Zubat, dodge!" D shouted, as her Zubat shot directly upward as fast as it could. Yet it would not be enough.
"Growlithe!" Luna yelled, fumbling for her Pokeball trying and failing to put her friend in a safe location.
Then, with a thunderous boom, a massive explosion rang out, throwing up a large cloud of dust and debris. Shielding her eyes, Violet unleashed Dratini, who used a short Twister to clear out some of the dust.
"D," she heard V cough, "Leave the Chansey, we have to run now!"
"Dratini, when you see them, use Thunder Wave," Violet ordered, scanning to try and find the two Team Rocket members as the dust began to settle. Glancing over the scene, it wasn't pretty. A large crater had been blasted around Pineco who was visibly wobbling. While she hadn't fainted, it was a close thing, and Violet saw no reason to continue having her fight. "You did good Pineco," she declared and withdrew the Bagworm Pokemon from the battle.
As Luna worriedly tended to her Growlithe, Violet felt a little guilt at that, she'd have to apologize for it at some point. Just as she was distracted thinking of the future, she saw Dratini begin to spark with electricity, then spotted two red beams strike the unconscious Zubats. "There!" She shouted as she saw D and V sprinting away.
Unleashing a wave of thunder, Violet was almost certain it would hit, then D glanced behind herself and saw the approaching thunder wave. In an incredible display of acrobatics, she grabbed V and spun into a bastardized backflip, deftly avoiding the electric attack before rolling on the ground to her feet and lifting her friend back up during the process. "Again!" Violet shouted just as the two Team members made it to the trees.
Dratini tried once more, but Violet knew it was a futile endeavor. Once more, Team Rocket had escaped.
"Warn me next time!" Luna snapped now that the danger was over, causing Violet to flinch in on herself. Growlithe woke up at the noise, emitting a weak growl.
"S-s," Violet tried to apologize, stumbling over her words as she did. Luna was worried, irrational in fear over the state of her friend. But the shy girl didn't think it was a good idea to point that out. "I-", she tried again as Luna waited patiently with an irritated expression. "I just - "
The two tied up Chanseys made a plea for help, causing Luna to direct her expression toward them. Both Pokemon immediately shut up at the look on her face. Thankfully this seemed to force Luna to calm down. "Just - I get it." She explained, "I get why that was necessary, I'm just …" her fists balled up as Growlithe still lay on the ground. "You know…"
Violet did understand Luna's fear. If Dratini fainted during a fight with Team Rocket thanks to her ally's actions, she'd have felt the same way, regardless of the circumstances. "Sorry," Violet finally managed to mumble now that Luna didn't look so angry and fearful.
Luna stepped towards the two Chanseys, beginning to cut them free. A moment later, Violet stepped in to help, still shaken by the recent conversation. As the two Egg Pokemon were released from the trap, and profusely thanked them, Luna finally said something once more. "Sorry, I yelled," the medical trainer apologized. "I was just worried."
"I know," Violet mumbled before the two trainers awkwardly refocused on the Chanseys present.
The two Egg Pokemon explained that they had fallen into Team Rocket's rope trap and were rendered helpless. Both were looking for trainers to join, even if the two of them had very different desires.
The first Chansey was interested in healing and was almost entirely pacifistic. While she wasn't unwilling to fight, her attacking moves were almost all anemic. Not to mention her first instinct was to heal, as demonstrated by the use of Life Dew on Growlithe, which noticeably soothed Luna's frayed nerves.
Violet was pretty sure that Chansey would be far better off with Luna, so she didn't even try convincing it to join her. The other one, however …
She glanced over at it and Dratini, the two of them involved in an odd duet. That Chansey was graceful to a degree Violet hadn't expected. Desiring a more public trainer, she desired either fights or contests. Due to her relative lack of experience, Chansey had yet to understand the difference between the two, but Violet suspected she would be fine with either.
When Luna and Violet explained what their goals were, it was little wonder that the first Chansey chose to join the medical trainer while the second chose to join Violet.
As the Pokeball dinged, noting her third captured Pokemon, Violet decided it was time to face a more experienced trainer, and possibly the gym leader herself.
The Seventh Week, Pick 1
Pokemon Actions
[-] Catch a fourth Pokemon - With four routes branching from Cerulean City, there are dozens of different Pokemon you could catch ranging from Pidgy to Oddish to Houndour. (Cannot be taken till Week 9)
[-] Fish for Pokemon - Cerulean city does have several fishing spots nearby, heading to one to try and catch Pokemon could be useful. (Cannot be taken till Week 9)
[] Train with Dratini, Pineco, and Chansey - All of your Pokemon are good in a battle, and each has unique skills. Training for a few days would help them grow.
[] Focus on Chansey - Chansey is new to the team and while she has integrated well, it may be worthwhile having a few days to just play with Dratini and Pineco.
Battling Actions
[] Challenge New Trainers - Now that you, Dratini, and Pineco had developed, fighting a few trainers in succession was doable.
[X] Challenge an Experienced Trainer - The other option to seek out a Pokemon battle would be to go to the Cerulean Gym and challenge one of the attendants there. You would likely even win. (Locked)
[] Challenge the Cerulean City Gym - You're pretty sure you'll beat the Cerulean City attendant. Committing to facing Gym Leader May afterward is certainly possible.
Exploration Actions (New)
[] See the sights in Cerulean City - While you have explored a good portion of the city, there is still quite a bit more to see such as the substations, gym, and other minor tourist attractions.
[] Explore Unorthodox Locations - Exploring parts of Cerulean City most people don't will be an interesting experience. Surely nothing can go wrong?
[] Explore some Caves - Now that you have learned the basics of caving, taking on more challenging spelunking expeditions is viable. And there are a fair few options nearby.
[] Learn to Swim - While you do know how to swim, there is a notable difference between swimming for fun and scuba diving. And an even greater difference when it comes to exploring underwater caves. Learning more advanced concepts would be fun.
Traveling Actions (Can Take 1 of These Only)
[] Travel to Mt. Moon - The cave system leading to Pewter City, heading towards the mountain to travel through will allow Violet to begin an adventure within.
[] Travel to the Power Plant - A large power plant that produces much of Kanto's electricity, it is home to several electric-type Pokemon.
[] Travel to Write-in - There are many locations in Kanto one could take a direct route towards.
Social Actions (For socials, it's assumed you keep up a basic level of contact through text, choosing a social means I write it up)
[] Call up your parents - Your parents would appreciate a call just to tell them what you've been up to.
[] Call Tetsuya - An old childhood friend of yours, the two of you drifted off recently. He recently arrived in Pewter City and plans to challenge the gym.
[] Call Willow - The trainer you recently defeated, she seems fun if exhausting. She just earned her first badge.
[] Visit Luna - The medical trainer has been involved with Nurse Joy at the Poke Center. Visiting her could provide some interesting insights.

Let's get out of here we've spent more than long enough here, and Daemon Hunter has told us we're already over-leveled for May. Whatever we want to do with our second action this turn we can just use our second action for next turn instead since we'll have one free well the other is used for traveling.

To use an example of roughly where your Pokemon are, Dratini will have the option to learn Dragon Tail next training session. While Pineco can learn Take Down.

Hmm, so they're either around levels fifteen or thirty-one, and based on context I have to imagine they're the former meaning you're using move sets from one of the two newest generations rather than any of the older ones good to know. Regardless, that means we out-level both Pokemon May will have by several levels each and that's usually enough of a difference that a trainer's ace can sweep an opposing team at this level.
Speaking of move training I think we're probably going to want Chansey to learn Covet in place of Tail Whip considering how important held items are. Also, why does Chansey know five moves to an effective combat level?

Yep, as it is they're roughly around level 15 or so. For move reference, I tend to use pokemondb.net to figure out when they learn moves as well as relative stat values.
...oops on the moves, that's a mistake on my end where I rolled to see what moves Chansey was good at and miscounted. Just fixed that.

More intense than expected, but perfectly reasonable.
Frankly it's better she had this experience in the field, as this'll probably make her better able to handle on the job stress should things get seriously busy, or have an emergent situation.
Still feel bad for her
Wahoo!! As predicted.
I wonder if we'd lost one of the chanseys if it would have been a diceroll to see which would be left behind.
[X] Challenge the Cerulean City Gym - You're pretty sure you'll beat the Cerulean City attendant. Committing to facing Gym Leader May afterward is certainly possible.
I'm pretty sure our whole team is ready to beat the Cerulean Gym. We can do other shit afterwards.

The important part is the rescue.
And also traumatizing team rocket with kids that open fights with self destruct if you have a hostage.

Yeah, this was one of those situations where Luna's nerves were shot to hell so she was pretty scary to Violet. It doesn't help that Violet really does not like confrontation of that kind.
I will also say that if Team Rocket had managed to grab one of the Chanseys, it'd have been a diceroll for which one remained.

Get the gym challenge out of the way and travel train as well. As for Team Rocket, we should always go Ultra Violence with them if they have a hostage, and a normal amount of violence if they do not. It should teach them that having a hostage is more trouble than it is worth.
