Think we already have enough warriors on the Council. I'm not sure about the other two, but as Grandmaster Daro already leans towards exploring the Force with our character choices. So I think someone diplomatic will help balance the Council.
The twelve of you are seated in the Coruscant Temple. It's a rare meeting today, no-one calling in by holo, no transmissions-- it's just all of you, in the Council Chamber.
Leia has taken her seat well. Clad in her white robes, she listens as the rolling thunder that is Kyp Durron and fights endlessly with Kyle Katarn.
For they are at an impasse.
The ideal option is easy enough: someone trains Keln, he wins, and the Ysanna are safe, Ossus is safe, the galaxy, is safe.
But if he fails... what then?
And that is what devours the thoughts of so many on the Council.
"We cannot allow the Ysanna to fall to the Dark Side. Look what came to the Galaxy, the evil that was unleashed. How many trillions lost, how many stars died when the Exiles and the Sith intermingled. Would you unleashed that again upon the galaxy?"
As expected, Kyp Durron is preaching action. If Keln fails, he would have you dispatch a team of Jedi to put down this Prince, if nothing else-- so as to keep the Dark Side from gaining control of the Ysanna. To keep a new Sith from arising, when you can least deal with it. Kyle Katarn and Kam Solusar both approve of this option, and are in Kyp's corner.
"I did not know we were in the business of ordering the deaths of men we do not know for the sake of expedience, Master Durron." Master Cilghal cuts through his thunder, gravel and deep and unbending to him.
There are others, just as opposed to allowing this Prince to claim the Ysanna, but more subtle about it. They would aid the Ysanna materially, give them all the wealth they could desire, and so essentially bribe them away from the Dark Side; for who should march to conquest if all they desired was already in their hands? Master Sebantyne and Master Horn are on Master Cilghal's side in this matter.
"And I did not know the Jedi took it upon themselves to meddle in the affairs of innocent peoples and cultures when they have not been given the right, nor had their presence requested." So says Master Solo-Fel, still clad in her pilot's suit. The irony is palpable, coming from the the Imperial Consort; she stands alone, but she bears the loneliness well.
Tionne, Leia, and you have not backed anyone yet. The three of you are weighing possibilities, though you know your master well enough to expect that she will not be following any plan that deals in assassination.
First thing's first, the boy's master. Who will train Keln Kelure?
[] You will. It will be your first time, but who better than the Grandmaster of the Order to give him the tools he needs? (You, Tionne, *maybe* Leia)
[] Nominate someone for the task. Does not have to be on the Council. (Write-In)
[] Let the Force decide.
Now, as to the matter of the Ysanna and of failure, and of already annoying your fellow council:
[] You must not let the Ysanna fall to the Dark Side. Prepare the Strike Team.
[] The Jedi are not murderers. Prepare the credits. This is gonna sting. (4 Dice tied for 4 turns if Keln fails)
[] The Ysanna are adults. They do not need your interference, nor the interference of any others.
Leia Organa Solo Human Councilor of the Jedi Order
The daughter of Padme Amidala and Anakin Skywalker, she is mighty in the Force-- stronger, indeed, than you have ever been, perhaps. A wise diplomat, she aids the Order by attempting to sew peace, justice and righteousness throughout the galaxy-- and on the council, she advises for a better, more just solution.
Traits: Strong Style (Master): A style dedicated to dominating in Lightsaber combat, it favors strong, precise strikes to tear apart an opponent's defense, ideally so outmatching them that they surrender-- or never threaten another. But, against blaster wielding opponents, its slowness and precision cause problems, and may allow you to be drowned under blaster fire. (+4 Personal Combat, +10 Against lightsaber wielding opponents, -15 against blaster wielding opponents)
Form VI (Niman Grandmaster): Otherwise known as the Moderation Form, Niman has no great strengths, but no weaknesses. Easy to pick up, many, if not most Jedi in the waning days of the Old Republic preferred to study this Form-- this has given it the reputation of a mediocre Jedi's form. On the other hand, it is the Form which most integrates the Force, in order to compensate for the relative lack of bladework. Leia has brought it to the same level as Exar Kun once did. (+6 Personal Combat, +20 Against Blaster Wielding Foes, +20 Against Lightsaber Wielding Foes)
Peacemaker: She ends wars, strife, battle and death, a walking symbol of peace and hope throughout the galaxy. (+4 Wisdom, +4 Diplomacy)
Ambitious: Alderran did not forge mediocrity. (+2 All Stats)
Mighty In The Force: If you are as a bonfire, she is like the sun in the sky, such does she burn. (+4 Wisdom, +2 Personal Combat)
Confidante: She seems like nothing more and nothing less than the "close personal friend" of every head of state in the galaxy, and often offers them Counsel. (+4 Wisdom, +4 Diplomacy)
Just: A Jedi seeks to be fair in all things, equitable and righteous in action. If all things else should fail, but you are just, then you are still Jedi. The Barsen'thor embodied this notion. (+2 Diplomacy, +2 Wisdom)
Brave: A Jedi must not know fear-- must be willing to sacrifice themself for the Galaxy, and for the Right. Revan knew this more than most. (+2 Personal Combat, +2 Wisdom)
Jedi: She is a Jedi Master, trained in the Force, and mightier than most-- perhaps all, now that Luke Skywalker is dead. (Gain access to Wisdom, traits)
Stats: Wisdom: 18+2+2+2+4+4+4=36- The Force and she are one and the same, mighty together, utterly connected. Personal Combat: 13+2+2+2+(6or4)=27/29 - You spar with Leia sometimes, for the hell of it. You won, once, and you're sure she let you. Diplomacy: 19+2+2+4+4=31- She is a veritable font of peace and hope, in a galaxy often at war. Strategy: 14+2=16- She has been fighting the good fight since before you were born. Intrigue: 10+2=12- She has a surprising subtle side. Administration: 11+2=13- The daughter of Organa remembers her lessons well.

If she doesn't want us to interfere, then she better make sure her padawan doesn't fail.

Leia's stats are interesting. I'd have thought she'd have better Intrigue and Administration given she was a Rebel Leader active on Coruscant and in the Senate itself for quite some time, and then went on to be the New Republics Chief of State for over a decade.
Hmm... I'm not super familiar with most of the books set during or after the Vong war, but I think the best swordmasters are Jaina and Kyle. Hmmm...

Murder is not a solution a Jedi should consider. In war or a duel is fine, but sending out a hit squad on a foreign leader we have never met to me seems like a step on the path to the Dark Side.

There's simply no basis for her having any skill in Niman, and certainly not to that extent. Jacen Solo thought he could beat his mother without trouble, but that Saba would be a difficult fight.
And she uses Strong Style as well, having mixed it with Form VI, the same way most Jedi are at this point in the Order's history. And it's not as if Niman cannot be aggressive-- Exar Kun was an aggressive fighter too.

Except we're not interfering, Jaina, as aid has been requested.
