With your decision to campaign for Septa Dana Wells underway, you need to establish a strong coalition behind her. While the Septa can count on the support of her Northern coreligionists and some in the Riverlands, she is otherwise quite isolated. You'll need to do a lot of work to get her into office before the Tourney of Oldtown comes to an end, and you need to be quick about it. She needs 51% of the 343 voting body to be named High Septa, which is the absolute minimum any has had to reach that esteemed office.
Aka, 175 seats. Should be easy, right?
Starting Position: ~20 votes (12 North/ 1 Iron Islands/7 Riverlands)
Answer all below.
[] Clearing the Field - This is something you have only discussed in strictest confidence with Yohn... but it might yet be possible to try and clear the field, to leave Septa Dana Wells as the only choice left standing. It would see you certainly clapped in irons and reviled by all seven kingdoms if discovered, but if you were to remove from contention even only of these sheperds of the small-folk... well, you wouldn't have a problem with gathering votes, would you?
[] Yes - You'll assassinate one or more of these religious figures, to clear the field for Septa Dana Wells. (-15 DP per person, roll 1d100-20 per person for chance of discovery with DP applicable, and DC at 60)
[] All - You'll kill them all and in doing so clear the field. It might prove too fortuitous however, and new contenders might arise...
[] Dolora Stone - You vaguely remember a woman asking you and Reginald Turner for peace, to turn aside from conflict. You'll give her the peace of death.
[] Lucas Lantell - A servant of Tywin Lannister, a man whose family has much aggrieved you.
[] Mern Goodman - A man calling for the return of the Faith Militant. You know their history, as well as any man of the First Men. He dies, a martyr as they were.
[] Tyranda of Mandervale - A former lover of the Red Viper. Perhaps poison should be her undoing...
[] No - You will not murder these folk of the cloth.
[] The Dornish Vote - Septa Tyranda of Mandervale is running a minority campaign, much like Septa Dana. The difference is, most of her support is coming from Dornish septons and septas, which strikes you as a little odd. It's only in casual discussion with some of Oberyn's men that you learn of his history with the good septa, which leaves you with a thought. Oberyn owes you a favour, and could perhaps be persuaded to surrender or influence his countrymen and women to vote for Dana instead, while Tyranda herself is assuaged by a major seat in the Faith. He won't like it, but he'd do it, knowing his sense of honour.
[] Yes - You will ask this of Oberyn, acquiring the 25 votes of Dorne, and ending your favour held wit him. (+25)
[] No - You will approach Septa Tyranda personally, and convince her to side with Dana, granting her all 40 votes she holds (+40). (Roll 1d100+20, DC 80, DP Applicable)
[] The Hightower Vote - You have recently built a strong relationship with House Hightower, one built upon secrets and daggers in the night. While you know House Hightower themselves already favours a Reach High Septon, you know as well Mern Goodman's support of the Faith Militant undermines the power over the Faith House Hightower has enjoyed since Maegor the Cruel's abolishing. You could try and convince Ser Humfrey to bring his brother around to your side, having House Hightower leach away support from Mern Goodman in favour of a more pliable candidate in Dana Wells.
[] Yes - You will try and do this. (roll 1d100+20, DC 80, DP Applicable, if successful, roll 1d25+10 for swayed voters)
[] No - You cannot bring House Hightower into this.
[] The Independent Vote - There's a fair few independent septas and septons loosely unaligned within the voting body. They're not as many as you need, but if you wined and dined them, you could find yourself with another thirty or so voters.
[] Yes - You will arrange this, spending greatly from your own coffers to arrange this. (-4,000 gold dragons, +32 votes)
[] No - The money is too dear to you, and cannot be spent so easily. You will try other means. (roll 32d100+20, DC ??, DP Applicable)
[] The Lannister Vote - This would be low of you, conniving even, considering how things are going... but you could impress upon Tyrion Lannister that his father's chosen candidate had ought to swing his votes towards you, to assure a friendly ear in the Faith not tinged by over Lannister relations. He's hoping greatly for your marriage to his cousin to bolster his own fortunes, and he just might agree to bully the man into it. Gods.
[] Yes - You will mislead Tyrion regarding your interest in Cerenna Lannister. (roll 1d100+20, DC 40, DP Applicable, acquire 60+ votes)
[] No - This is unthinkable, a betrayal of your friendship. You will not do this.
[] The Royalist Vote - There are a great many septas and septons here currently voting in line with royalist sentiments, which is to say against a Lannister candidate. Being a royalist figure yourself, you could perhaps impress upon them the need for a truly incorruptible figure, at least in relation to House Lannister.
[] Yes - This needs be done, though you know Jon Arryn will hear of your actions all too quickly. (Roll 112d100+20, DC??, DP Applicable, acquire up to 112 votes)
[] No - You cannot go directly against Jon Arryn. You will seek your votes in other manners.
