It's more of killing it and not wasting Magatsuhi, because babies are too weak to survive even partial sucking. And, well... it's your choice if you want to roleplay Taylor as a true monster, not mine, so I shouldn't block you, even if I'm not expecting anyone to vote for it.
[X] You leave them alive
[X] Maybe Pixie can calm the kid down? Little kids like fairies, right?
Better late than never, right..? Yeah, sorry for such late update, I fell into the trap of "I can always do this tomorrow" and you know the rest.
As usual, they are no problem for you, and as usual you leave those men alive. They for sure aren't going to feel well when they wake up, but hey, that's not your problem. (+9 Magatsuhi)
Feeling pretty well with all this Magatsuhi, you leave the area.
"Pixie, go calm it down." Kids like fairies, right?
"What?! No way! Why me?! How would I know how to deal with human children?!"
"You think I will do better? If the kid so much as sees me, it's going to be terrified."
"Ugh... Fine, but don't blame me if I make it worse!" That said, Pixie flew towards the stroller. You didn't follow her.
As Pixie got to the stroller, she stopped for a moment, probably thinking. She then started flying in front of the infant's face, whispering some stuff you couldn't hear. It wasn't working, the kid kept crying. You could see Pixie getting impatient, and hoped she wouldn't fry the kid or something. Thankfully, when she did go for her magic, she chose Dia, not Zio.
The kid glowed green for a moment, and surprisingly stopped crying. Was it hurting somewhere or something? Whatever the case, the Dia helped. Once more, Pixie got to flying in front of the kid, and it started laughing soon enough.
Well, that's one thing taken care of. The kid isn't crying now. But, what are you supposed to do with it? And why is there an abandoned stroller in the first place? You consider this question. You didn't approach it, it appeared behind you, so it clearly moved or was moved in some way. You think that if someone pushed it or something, they wouldn't be able to hide from you so fast, so the moved itself option is more likely, unless it was moved through some telekinesis or something.
You consider it from different perspective. If the stroller moved, and there was no flying or teleportation involved (which isn't something you can really count on), then there had to be a route on the ground it used. Thinking about it, the road some distance behind the stroller was on a small hill, so the stroller could have gone down that way if someone left it higher up.
Your musings are interrupted by a sound of someone running. You look up the hill and spot a boy running in your direction from one of the left allies. He looks horrible - he is slightly bleeding, his face is swollen, his clothes are dirty and torn, at least one arm is broken (you can't confirm the other), and he is obviously limbing. He also spots you, and there is a moment of hesitation in his body, but then he continues running towards you. Or the stroller, the direction would be the same.
You guess that he is the owner of the stroller. He also saw you. What should you do?
[] Get away from there. You have done your part.
[] Offer to heal the boy. Being nice is sometimes useful.
[] Threaten the boy into the silence. He didn't see you, or else...
[] Kill the boy. No one was supposed to see you, and while a child won't tell anyone about you, he can.
[] Write-in.
You return to your base thinking about your discovery. A Terminal... Labirynth of Amala... The strange feeling of something missing... What does all of that mean? How is a Terminal located outside Vortex World? Should you start going into the Labirynth? Questions, questions...
And then your phone starts ringing. You check the caller - Newter. What could he want right now?
1d100 = 84
"Hello Newter, what's up?"
"Yo! I've got good news! Well, two bits of good news!"
That makes you curious. It's not often you hear good news, and today you already had some good stuff happening, what with getting a lot of Magatsuhi and finding the Terminal. "Yeah?"
"Ok, listen. First of all, some weird guy offed Butcher. As in, permamently, he didn't become the next Butcher or something. Confirmed by a dozen of thinkers or so. Good riddance, I tell you."
Well, you have heard of the Butcher, but you didn't really consider him a big danger. It's not like his or her Shard could jump to you. You are more interested in that guy who did the deed. "Who is this guy who killed him?"
"There isn't much known about him. He appeared some time ago and started killing all the parahumans with bounties he met while travelling from city to city, his destinations seemingly random. He calls himself Dante, but he doesn't have a mask and whenever someone calls him a cape, he states that he isn't a cape, he isn't even wearing one."
That sounds... strange. When you think about sparing with this Dante, something in you screams "NO!". Did you meet him in Vortex World or something? But you honestly can't remember anyone like that.
"Huh... Well, and the other thing?"
"That one is a bit closer to home. You know the serial killer that was roaming around in the city? The one that was thought to be you until a camera caught her?"
That... "Yes."
"Well, she made a mistake and got punished for it. Protectorate made a temporary truce with villains in the city, unofficial of course, to deal with her, and they managed to get her into a limited area of severs. They are not walking in, too dangerous, but she also has no water, food, or humans there, and they are going to use some gas to smoke her out. And if she tries to leave, whether through one of the exits or just making a hole, dozen different capes will be on her in a moment. Faultline was paid to join them, so we are there as well."
"What, not inviting me? I'm hurt."
"If we brough you, half the capes there would attack you." He deadpanned. "However... if you get to the adresses I will soon send you without anyone seeing you... well, Faultline is still interested in the analysis of other capes you offer."
"I see. I'll think about it."
"That's all I ask for. Now then, bye bye, gotta get back to work." And he ended the call. Half a minute later, you get a bunch of adresses, probably where different groups are stationed.
You consider what he told you. This is an opportunity for you to gather a lot of intelligence on enemies and potential enemies. However, there is also something else you can do, something Newter probably didn't expect, and that is to attack the killer yourself. She sounds strong, it would be helpful for you to fight someone like that, and with those adresses, you can probably easly locate her, even if it requires you to take some other capes down first.
You can also not go, of course, and spend time doing something else. Like gathering more Magatsuhi, or entering the Labirynth, or something.
[] Attack the killer.
[] Gather information on capes.
[] Ignore this event.
