VOTING IS OPEN!

Squishy

Merciful Director
THIS IS YOUR FINAL CHANCE!

Voting for the 2019-2020 Community Council has begun! You have the rules. You have the candidates! You have their statements!

Who will you vote to represent you for the next year?

Things to keep in mind:

  1. You can vote for as many, or as few, of the candidates as you like.
  2. The poll will remain open for one week.
  3. You can change your vote up to the time of the poll closing.
  4. Only the 9 members of the 2018-2019 Council who receive the most votes can be elected again. With @Cadis not running and @Datcord and @shinaobi moving to staff, that means that only nine of these people can be re-elected: @Artificial Girl, @Blazinghand, @Chloe Sullivan, @Estro, @FBH, @Hykal94, @Jackie, @Leila Hann, @NothingNow, and @Susano.
Good luck!

Pineapple on pizza is blasphemy of the highest order. An abomination against good taste and human civilisation. Those who like it are hostis humani generis and should be hunted down like the war criminals that they are.
As someone allergic to pineapple, they're certainly hostis mei at least if they eat it in front of me. The thing I really can't stand is the miasma of bacon. Makes me vomit.

On a more serious – and completely different – note: it would be helpful, if it's techninally feasible, if on changing your vote, the form remembered your choices (in the future, at least – bit late for it for this election at this point).

... wow that sentence has a lot of delimiters.

Just so you know you can vote against someone by voting for everyone but them.

This is your official reminder to Vote For Chungus! I'll be good, I swear!

#TheChungusAmongUs #SuccumbToTheChung

I am afraid I have never heard of you before this election, so I could not vote for you in good faith.
That's unfortunate (or as we call it in showbiz, "Une oof tres large") but I understand completely. This is just the natural consequence of lurking on SV and shitposting on SV-adjacent discords instead of spending time on different subforums.

Glad I got my vote in on time, although I'm worried that perhaps I've voted for individuals that may be too zealous in "purging" the site. But then again I've also voted for those who want to suggest leniency in situations not involving chronic offenders and those who want to help prevent people from repeating and growing as posters as a result of their mistakes. Hopeful this way all views will be represented and given time to be considered.

Boy, this week has flown by.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote. Thank you to all the other candidates who made the process fun and put so much work into discussing the issues in a friendly and thoughtful manner. I had a hard time not just voting for everyone myself. Whoever wins, I think it is obvious the council is going to be in good hands.

And thanks to the staff and owners of SV for creating a community where user input matters and fairness and transparency are valued.

To follow on what @mesonoxian is saying, I really think that it just goes to show what an amazing community SV has that so many were willing to go out of their way to stand up and argue for what they believe in, which should be celebrated in of itself regardless of how much we agree or disagree with these candidates and their supporters. I can't thank you all enough for giving back to this community.

I'll back this up. Even if I don't win, I met a ton of amazing people through this election and while sometimes they got out of hand, the vigorous discussions on how this site should be run were quite heartening.

So, thanks for being awesome.

What a journey! It's down to the line!
What a time to be alive!

Get yer votes in before votes close today!

THE DAWN OF THE FINAL DAY
the dawn of the final day
Less than 23 hours remain to get your vote in for the 2019/2020 Council Elections! We've had outstanding turnout this year - so far more than 1200 users have voted - and an excellent slate of candidates. This is your chance. If you haven't voted, do so now!

Remember, voting closes !

Less than a day to change your vote to people who have a platform that is more robust than "Er, what?", or if you haven't voted yet to vote for such people!

Regardless of if I win or not, I can absolutely say that I'm glad that I ended up running. I met so many new great people and had some phenomenal discussions about how the site can be improved.

And just thank you to everyone who voted and participated in this event. Whether as a voter, a candidate, or just someone asking questions and discussing, you all helped make this event what it is.

We're in the home stretch now. I'm not sure if I'll make it in, but regardless this has been an incredible experience. I've got to know tons of amazing people, and my heart fluttered whenever someone nominated me.

But I do want to get in, so vote for Chungus!
