2019/2020 Community Council Nomination Discussions

This is the thread in which you can discuss nominations for the 2019/2020 Community Council elections.

If you would like to know more about the elections process, have questions, or would like to discuss the process generally, there is a thread about it here.

If you would like to nominate candidates, you can do that in this thread.

Please try to avoid meming or shitposting in this thread. It is hard enough for people who are really interested in their candidates to get information as it is; I do not want anyone making it harder. If you do, your posts may be deleted and you may be thrown out of the thread.

I say Vote Datcord for More Shipping Charts. And now I will try to hide because I do not wish for attention. That and I like these flowers along the walls.

Well, consider this my official announcement of my candidacy :V

Smut, gay and hugs for all!

Also answers, if you have questions.

What is your stance on allowing dice rollers on every thread on this site?

I'm in! I'll answer whatever stupid questions y'all ask because I'm pretty much unemployed and between semesters.

Not the best idea, not the worst idea. So I'm okay with it.

(The worst idea being the SV Gacha that will hopefully never happen.)

I have read through this thread and I have heard the ideals and intents of the potential candidates, but I believe something important must be known.

How well can you all handle criticism? Constructive criticism can be helpful for ensuring a healthy website.

Also...none of you candidates happen to have any plans to pull a Palpatine on the site do you? Best we get any urges to do that out of the way now so that SV can perhaps be the best that it can be!

I love criticism! Actually, I seek attention of any kind! ...maybe I'm just a downer.

Also, I don't think I have the diplomatic tact nor the skills to usurp Squishy, long may Corgis reign.

I will also put it out there that I an willing to run, and if nominated, serve.

There are some possible changes that I think might warrant consideration.

I do think that the expansion of both the numbers and the scope of what the CC does will make whoever gets elected more accessible to the userbase at large, and that the engagement of the userbase in the governance of the forum is a positive thing that has helped shape SV into what it is. Best of luck to whomever winds up on the ballot, we're going to need it judging by the historical tribunals.

You know who I am. AMA.

And if you don't, you will.

If I could nominate 2018's Council, I would, but sadly we only get to nominate 5, and as much as I'd like to nominate all my former fellow Councillors to the job, I also think we need a new influx of kouhais to bully.

To the people who nominate me but I didn't nominate them, nothing personnel. I think you all will be great for the Council. If not great then alright. If not alright then eh. If not eh, then milquetoast. Not everyone can be perfect as cats.

You don't have to be perfect, you just need to be willing to do your best, and that's good enough.

Don't feel bad if you can't nominate everyone. What's most important is that you nominate someone you trust that can do the job.
