2 DRAGONS 2 DOGMA

This looks incredibly cool. There seems to be a lot of the stuff they needed to cut from the first one due to time and budgetary constraints, if remember correctly there.

Also, Grigori has the same voice. They nailed it the first time and you can't improve on perfection.

A very nice trailer! I kind of skipped on the original Dragon's Dogma since it looked a little dated at the time (being a really late Xbox 360 game, I suppose that's not surprising), and I had more action RPGs than I knew what to do with, but it looks great in the RE Engine!

fingers crossed we get to cuckold a noble in the most hilarious way possible again

(by accident)

""If he's a mere mummer, where might our Arisen be?''
Hmm, I'm wondering if our main character is meant to be a pawn that has become free-willed, or if maybe that's meant a red herring? Also, anyone has a translation for the text at the beginning? I recall the first game had text like that too but it was basically making fun of us for being gamers lol.

IDK if he's griggori exactly per say, he seems chunkier, and overall larger, and even the icon based on him seems thicker, in the world (worlds? the lore confuses me a bit)there were already dragons before ours so in another time loop or future, it could be another. I mean wyrms also share a voice actor no?

It does make me curious if the stories are really connected in any way. Like, will this game show what the fallout must be for the secret ending of the 1st one? or will it just ignore it? Or will it be a branch reality like pawns fall out of?

I don't remember the first game making fun of us, but like the first game, it's in french.

It's a quote from Honoré de Balzac a famous french writer, and if I use google translate, it's : "Conviction is human will attained to its greatest power."
Or Deepl : "Conviction is the human will at its most powerful"

A lengther quote is : "La conviction est la volonté humaine arrivée à sa plus grande puissance. Tout à la fois effet et cause, elle impressionne les âmes les plus froides, elle est une sorte d'éloquence muette qui saisit les masses."

The seconde sentence is like : "Both effect and cause, it impress the coldest souls, it's a sort of silent eloquence which seized the masses"

I mean DDO already deeply reinforced the Dogma multiverse idea, with the idea that dragons could fight each other
"a la angels and fallen angels.'
but that idea was heavily hinted at even before the ending reveals after all, where are pawns harpies and cyclopses from? Not Gransys for sure. Dragons and kin certainly weren't either. The opening cutscene as well as in-game stuff gave tons of evidence for that.

(Chimeras weirdly enough may actually have not been from another dimension if my understanding is correct though.)

Huh, yeah that quote definitely feels like it was dredged up to reflect on a pawn gaining willpower.I'm more convinced now than ever that they wanted that aspect to occur to a well-informed viewer.

The first game may have actually been referring to ending spoilers indirectly now that I think about it.
''The novel joy of a useless occupation'' could just as easily describe being made almost powerless to do anything other than fuel the world as the seneschal.

I'm actually thinking the "mere mummer" being referred to is the ruler of whatever place this is, who is possibly faking being an Arisen. The glowing necklace he has being him faking the Arisen scar, the fact he's shown on his throne with three presumably Pawns as bodyguards...

Fresh from the gnawing carrion surrounding the bilious corpse of E3: A little further smidge of Drizzadogs 2!

"Highlights" include:
4x bigger world
High-five your pawns
RE engine
Improved AI and physics for pawns
Khajit has wares

Things are looking good; this continues to look like "Dragons Dogma, but More!"

I think the whole fanbase wants/wanted "Dragons Dogma But More" so this is good.

Then again we've been burned more than once now, my hope being we can come out Dragonforged instead of being bitter.

I still rember I watched through the Anime because I thought the Moon being visible meant that it might show us more Everfall / moon battling stuff like was originally planned for game one.

Suffice to say it did not and probably blew a ton of it's budget on its introduction movie.
