[X] Tong Bi
- [X] Yeren (+1 Might, +1 Agility)
- [X] Pure of Heart, Dumb of Ass Build [3/3/2/4]
- [X] The Hell with a Wish, I'm taking over this system!
"Think you're tough enough?"
The words ring in your head. Did that guy have the nerve to ask if you're tough enough?
Tough enough? You're a Yeren! Fighting's in your blood, and the intense fire in your gut burns bright blue on your head for everyone to see! How DARE he question how tough you are!? He should be happy you haven't felt the need to boot him off your throne until now!
Well, his free ride's officially over! Who needs a wish, when you need him BEGGING FOR MERCY!?
"Tong Bei? Tong Bei, you alright?"
Your friend Horse gives you a shake, trying to drag you back to reality. Your pal's a Yeren, like you, only he has a distinctly red and blue face framed by a full goatee. Usually only bad guys can rock the goatee, but he made it work for him. Horse has a better grip on the whole 'real' thing than most people do, you included, so you try to listen when he has something to say.
"Huh?" you ask.
Looking around, you see that the TV in the diner is on the floor instead of the wall. It's also on your hands and feet. As are the remains of your caustic curry and grease-stuffed briquettes.
Oh. That sucks. You hate letting briquettes go to waste, and now the curry is burning through the floor tiles.
Horse snaps his fingers to get your attention again. He means well, so you let him keep them. Anyone else did that to you at their own risk.
"Tong Bei. I asked if you were alright."
Alright? You have plans to make. Before the line to kill Necromania gets too long, and you end up having to fight everyone else in the queue to reach him.
"Yeah, I'm good."
You quickly clean up after yourself, leaving a stack of credit chips on the table for these folks to replace the TV. This might be the only place left on Forgo that makes good briquettes and hasn't banned you yet, so you make sure to stay on good terms with the owners.
"Good? You started making that look you made when you're about to make a bad decision, and--" You stuff one last briquette in your mouth and run towards the door. "--TONG BEI, NO!"
You launch into a sprint through the squalid streets of Forgo. Past hover bikes, over hover cars, and onto a hover train that takes you all the way to your hideaway in Squid Row. The frequency with which people get dragged into the darkness by the garbage kraken keeps the rent nice and reasonable for someone who only works when they feel like it.
You can rip that sucker out of the ground later. For now, you're mad about Necromania. Steamed, even. It's time to get off your butt and put the fear of death back in a guy who thought he could stop fearing death a long time ago.
An hour later, Horse catches up to you. He's breathing heavily, clearly exhausted from running the whole way back to your hangout.
"Tong Bei, please! Don't tell me this is about the wish!"
"SCREW his wish! If that pile of soup stock wants to see a REAL warrior, I'll be the last thing he sees before I TAKE OVER HIS EMPIRE!"
You knew you should have given it at least a week of consideration, but in the end you gave it all of an hour before deciding to go all-in on conquering the cosmos. The wish isn't what you're doing this for, it's the icing on the cake. The cake is the Sector Wugant.
Do soup and cake go together? Whatever.
Your name is Tong Bei. The galaxy doesn't know it yet, but it's all yours for the taking.
Startingā¦ Now.

ROUND 1 ā
š” PLANET FORGO, XANTHOS SYSTEM, SECTOR WUGANT š”
PRIMARY PHASE, YEAR 1989 OF THE INTERGALACTIC CALENDAR
You have 4 time slots to assign to actions for this phase. You can assign any number of actions to any category, though you can only assign a time slot to an action once.
ā
GALACTIC ACTIONS ā
š„ MIGHT ACTIONS
[ ] MIGHT - Informal Free-For-All
TN N/A - Just Walk Into a Bar and Punch Somebody
The streets of Forgo are full of cyberized punks and drunken spacers looking for a quick scrap. Indulge them in a brawl to show the casual fighters where you stand: The top of the pile!
Reward: Establish a reputation with the fighty crowd. You might even make a friend. Or an enemy!
[ ] MIGHT - Hunt Vermin
TN 15
The varied waste that is dumped on Forgo has led to an outbreak of rodents of unusual size. These mutant vermin are pests in the top percentage of pests. Trying to catch them could serve as a distraction from the usual status quo of them dragging people into the darkness.
Reward: Mutant rats and other local monsters have their populations reduced. You can even eat them for cheap food on the go!
[ ] MIGHT - Hunt Crime
TN 20
Forgo is a steaming pile of (among other times) crime and iniquity. Kung fu hustlers and shakedown martial artists are a cred a dozen once you leave the "safe" zones. Their preying on the weak makes them easy to spot. Beat the gangsters up, and crime might quiet down for a bit.
Reward: Local violent crime is reduced, technically speaking, in the form of you reducing it.
[ ] MIGHT - Fight a Garbage Kraken
TN 25
Garbage krakens are big monsters that burrow through Forgo's middle and bottom layers. They supplement their diets of trash with unsuspecting victims. Anyone can scare off a garbage kraken with a missile launcher; hunting one with your bare hands should be a good challenge!
Reward: Dominance over apex predators of Forgo is established. You could take some home for dinner, assuming you have the stomach for it.
šØ AGILITY ACTIONS
[ ] AGILITY - Visit the Forgo Heights
TN 15
While the vast majority of the planet is a steaming pile of you-know-what, the highest peaks of Forgo are host to elevated stores and high-rises called the Heights. This is also where you'd find the space port, once you're ready to head off in search of new planets to take on.
Reward: You become more familiar with the Forgo Heights area, including the shops, locations of interest, and characters relevant to your mission.
[ ] AGILITY - Explore Garbage Heaps
TN 20
Every major company in Wugant drops their industrial waste at Forgo, when they aren't parking scrapped vessels down for the shipbreakers. Most of the trash that falls into the Heaps is completely worthless, but every now and then a dumpster diver finds something worth the effort.
Reward: Heaps are canvassed for trinkets of interest you can keep or sell.
[ ] AGILITY - Delve into Forgo Depths
TN 25
On the opposite side of Forgo Heights, the Depths is even more dangerous than the middle districts. They're full of freaks and mutants. No one goes down there, unless they screwed up so badly that lying low on Forgo's surface wasn't gonna cut it anymore. Bring a gas mask!
Reward: Like the Heaps, the Depths can be delved for lost treasures and new creatures to fight.
š§ INTELLECT ACTIONS
[ ] INTELLECT - Research Forgo
TN 10
You've been on this planet for most of your life, and yet you don't really remember a lot about it beyond what you've seen and heard in person. Street knowledge. As much as it irks you, it wouldn't hurt to break out the library card and brush up on the details about this rock.
Reward: Refresh yourself on the planet's history and general features.
[ ] INTELLECT - Look Up Forgo's Planet Boss
TN 15
Who even is this guy? WHERE is he? You can't leave fist-shaped holes in the rest of the Planet Bosses if you can't strike the Boss of Forgo off the list first. Researching your foe should also give you a general idea of their strengths and (if any) weaknesses.
Reward: Learn at least baseline information about the Planet Boss of this world.
[ ] INTELLECT - Take a Piloting Course
TN 20
Until they start making roads and rivers long enough to cross planets, there'll always be a demand for spaceship pilots. Take a course, pass a test, and you can get off this trash can whenever you likeā¦ once you have a ship with which to do that.
Reward: You gain a private space piloting license, which should certify you for flying most forms of spacecraft. Trying to operate a spaceship without knowing how to fly is ill-advised at best.
š SPIRIT ACTIONS
[ ] SPIRIT - Look for Work
TN 15
No more kitchen duty for you. You're tired of wearing fireproof hairnets! Time to get a REAL job where you can be paid to beat people up. For money!
Reward: Successfully ask around for a job that can make use of your services, which will become available to perform the following round.
[ ] SPIRIT - Call Out the Planet Boss
TN 20
You know the fastest way to start a fight is to make some noise. Talk big, and then get ready to parry the oncoming hit. The key is making enough noise that they have no choice but to get off their high perch and do something about it. Then, you hit 'em hard enough to knock them down.
Reward: You initiate the first boss fight right away. You'll receive double the reputation boost if you call them out and win the battle, though the opposite holds true if you lose instead.
[ ] SPIRIT - Start a Gang
TN 25
It's been a while since you ran a gang. Like, a year. Two years, tops. That was all small time. If you're going to rule the galaxy, you'll need a lot of mooks. Put the word out that you're recruiting the best of the worst for your new gang, and that this time, you mean business.
Reward: Start a gang, granting a floating +1 die to miscellaneous actions on this planet.
ā
PERSONAL ACTIONS ā
[ ] PERSONAL - TRAIN
Hit the gym! Hit the books! Be better, do better. You can train up your mind and body, though without any extra space or special equipment dedicated to the task, your results may vary.
-[ ] MIGHT
-[ ] AGILITY
-[ ] INTELLECT
-[ ] SPIRIT
Training Progress: ???
[ ] PERSONAL - Hang Out with Horse
Horse is probably worried you're gonna do something crazy. Take some time off from your new goal in life to let him know you know exactly what you're doing. Or play video games.
ā
