    Same here! I saw this coming from the in story moment you established that straight female Taylor was going to merge with straight male Shirou both in psyche and, at least in part, physically. It was obvious this was going to come up at some point. And so far I think these 2 can work. And I just love the fact that you are going to focus on keeping it in character too!

    Too many get over excited about doing the relationship that they put the relationship before the characters.
    One that recent and comes to mind is Yuki no Yue has a worm fic between 2 OC's and and he really jumped the gun badly.

    Pretty great story otherwise but he really should have let them flow better rather than say 'ok they are rock solid now'. And if you read how they started as bully and victim so that shouldn't have happened do easily.
    So ignore the nay sayers and keep it up! Everything I read from you tells me that I won't be disappointed at all! 📣

    Yeah... been getting a lot of that, relatively speaking, lately. Road crew job just eats free time. But I'm moving on, so hopefully my update speed will bounce back up to something Decent again.

    Yeah. It's been good for my bank account but not much else. Hopefully that'll be changing really soon but nothing guaranteed yet.

    Things have suddenly started falling into place. I've got a possible line on a welding job with more standard hours and without this work every other weekend crap I'm dealing with now. Nothing certain yet but if it pans out I'll be much happier and on my way to learning the trade I'm committed too and I'll have more free time which means more updates. Fingers crossed folks.

    I am currently taking college level welding courses. Do you have any advice for someone getting into the field?

    Honestly I should probably be the one asking you that. I had a ten week crash course that got me to barely competent. My only real advice is apply to anything and everything you can find. I've found most people want 3 to 5 years experience but don't let that stop you. I spent two months applying to everything within 3 states before I found someone willing to train me up. Be persistent and don't give up.

    Does anyone else find that isolation strangles their muse? Is that just me? Before corona I'd just go sit in a library if I had writers block, but now? Is anyone else having this issue?

    Its actually helped me, i've gotten more ideas in the last few months than the past few years.
    I need to do something 'else', to be somewhere 'else' so i grab onto my muse's prompts and give them a go.
    As i've done everything else that i can do at home.

    I have one regret about taking up writing as a serious hobby. The standards for what I'll read keep getting stricter. Really starting to miss the days I could loose myself in any half assed fic with a decent concept.

    Tell me about it, i'm not much of a writer but i haven't been able to read on FF.net for ages as none of the new stuff is up to snuff.
    I have to follow writers that i know are good and focus on them, just like most of the pro written stuff now that i think about it.

    I have a welding job now!!! My life is going to be chaos for a few days, but I start a new job next week and I will be the best welder I can be and I'll be sure to throw stories to all of you in what promises to be a great deal of free time isolated in a motel room when I'm not at work. I'll probably need the distraction as much as anyone else.

    Ehhh it's solid work quality wise but I'm familiar with the authors work. They have a tendency to go dark and angsty for the sake of dark and angsty. It's a trend which has proven prevalent in this story as well. Not bad work but it's a choice in style I find grating.

    Read through Flames on the nightshift the other night, didn't want to be rude and necro the thread but I must say I had a Hell of a lot of fun with it! Never watched Katekyo before but now you've piqued my interest and I'm going to so I can go back to Flames with a new perspective.

    I'd honestly give KHR a meh rating but the flame powers are really cool and broken. There are a few really amazing fanfics out that change the tone to something more serious and do their best to jail break flame powers. Those I would highly recommend
