[X] - Try to calm my emotions. Panicking won't do me any good - I should figure out how I got here from the church, did I black out? How much did I miss?

[X] - Preternatural Mind Lv. 1

Being smarter than most people has it's advantages. It'll probably help with learning magic and Skills in general, and it might boost our reflexes. This is basically the Tutorial phase, so we should prioritize building up skills. In addition, speed boosts are generally easier to get than mental ones, so Preternatural Speed will likely be easier to replace than this, though a caster that can evade most attacks is admittedly appealing.

Yeah alright, I'll switch up to mind. That sounds like fun.

Yesss! There's people voting for Int boost now!
Personally, what I want is to get some buffing and battlefield control spells to help big sister with. I don't really mind getting punchyfisty as well (it gives us someone else to buff), but right now I just want to get some fun spells as fast as possible, and lay down the groundwork for being great at supporting big sister. To me, that means either Mind or Soul is the ideal choice, but anything that helps us survive as a mage is okay too.

Alas, Int was not to be.

[X] - Select Nothing - I didn't ask for this gift, and I sure as hell don't want an Evil God's dodgy help.

Ya'll make me cry. As soon as we had an open clear winner.
@Spectral Waltz and @Sentient Tree is there any argument I can provide that can convince either of you to switch (back) to Agility?

I could have sworn that something else was winning and switched away from agility because I thought the newly emergent 'mind' bloc might draw more people from both camps.

Let me see...

EDIT: Alright, switching back to Agility.

Taking an afternoon tally...

I'll try and get a post up before I leave to watch SW tonight, but no promises.

I saw that people were voting for Mind, and got excited. Not sure if I'm in time to help, but switching back.

Looks like Agility won anyway though. :)

Update: I'm leaving for SW basically now so I'll hold off on closing the vote and updating until I get back - let's call it 9pm GMT? That gives you a little extra time to try and convince people to change votes if you want to.

Well I'm back and closing the vote...I'll get an update done...at some point soon...I think I need to recover from the painful travesty I just encountered first, though.

Noooo... Regeneration is the best. It is literally the best defensive trait we could ask for.

With Preternatural Agility, when we try to test it out and run really fast, I imagine where going to close-line ourselves.

I agree that regeneration is very good defensively, but there's too much risk that we could alienate people(like big sis!) by regrowing a limb after combat. Or by cutting ourselves in order to train (if that's how training works here).
Agility is also okay defensively, works well with the rogue-type shadow magic we got, and shouldn't have any social downsides to it.

Nah, it's okay. We are arguing pretty cordially, and it's best people just get these things out of their system rather then them holding on to it and it affecting later votes.

Eh, Agility would probably have been my second pick anyway. Of the ones least likely to cause problems later on, at least.

Unexpected Christmas complications have destroyed me, I'm going to have to write the next update over the coming Christmas Period. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Protagonist's situation reminds me very much of Soma, so I doubt we would be able to return to the real world.

About the latest vote, I don't think selecting a gift made us bound in debt to Victor. If it was his goal, he would have adjusted his image to appear more trustworthy to ensure we selected one, especially with the ability to read thoughts.
