I'm torn between Rukia and Takako but ultimately i think Rukia would do better overall, her Shikai is strong enough to be useful in a fight and more importantly if an Arrancar shows up i think that would just upset Takako's fragile mental balance even more as she will be unable to do anything to it while watching us fight them.

She also has her survivors guilt, so throwing her into an encounter where Ichigo Shiba is placed in danger sound to me like raising a death flag on her behalf

Not to mention surviving deadly encounters that are way over your powerlevel is a safe way to start a friendship

Sode no Shirayuki is quite the useful Shikai and Rukia can make up for our lack of skill at Kido. Not to mention, we're(as of this update) supposed to be training with each other, so this would be a useful way to show off what we do know/can do and for her to IC show us what she can do while also doing the shounen "Bonds forged in battle" thing.

Hey, all you guys voting for Takako? Keep in mind that this is supposed to be for final year academy students only. Like, we got in because we're just that absurd, not because this is easy.

You saw what happened to her in the tournament? In real situations, the hollow isn't going to let her friends drag her away when she gets blitzed. And before you say that we'll just defend her, ask yourself if you really think we're going to be strong enough to do that and not get ourselves killed at the same time?

The main thing I'm worried about with this choice is that it might look to Takako that we're 'trading her in for a better model'.
 
Rukia is probably the best pick, but even if its "only" one of the numeros, iirc she is currently not at the level to beat one? She has her whole survivors guilt thing (which is probably better as shown by her meeting Kukaku who probably yelled at her a lot), which means that her zanpakuto is weaker right now, and she hasn't had the massive training she did between the end of Soul Society arc and the Hueco Munde arc. Also she might be insulted by going on an academy training thingy unless she is somehow going as an instructor.

But the fight is out of the league of the other two entirely I think...
