I think all the choices are good and viable. They all add something to our swordplay. It's a matter of preference.

In my case, it's speed.
 
[] Bakudo

Good for slowing down our enemies at the least, and completely stopping them at most. Thus giving us an advantage against the truck.

[] Hoho

If for some reason we get Yurichi speed training again, we may just be able to match her speed with her help. If not getting that piece of canon, always nice to be able to DODGE!

[] Hakuda

Able to give us a combat option that doesn't involve chanting if we get disarmed. And I do love casting fist.

So for me...

You can always cut thier Achilles tendons to immobilize them...
Tends to be more permanent than bakudo to, and once they are on the ground you have an small opening for multiple attacks before they heal.

The main reason I'm for Bakudo is that it sounds like we're mixing that with our swordsmanship, so that seems like it would be immobilizing someone while we're mid-strike. The bakudo doesn't need to permanently stop them, the huge sword they can't dodge now will do that just fine.
