Because I think Ichigo's soul was 'purified' as he was sent to SS and the Zangetsu probably no longer has hollow eyes.

But the influence of hollow present in the zanpakuto, remember his mother carried traces of hollow powers after her attack from "white" hollow, Ichigo inherited that trace amount of hollow powers, after his hollowfication this trace amount of hollow powers was greatly enhanced and it fused together with his Shinigami powers. This way his base zanpakuto spirit was twisted further turning it into a zanpakuto spirit with characteristics of a hollow. Now without hollowfication maybe his zanpakuto only fused itself with least amount of hollow power thus it should be bit twisted but not as twisted as canon version. For this reason, his Shinigami powers should be sane but twisted but still far better than canon, Quincy powers may be assimilated by his Shinigami powers, after all, Quincy powers belong to the living, and Ichigo now fully dead so Old man can not overwhelm his Shinigami powers. I think it got eaten by Zanpakuto spirit.

well that is reasonable but I guess it is up to the qm, still the quincy powers being eaten up by the Shinagmi powers would be very entertaining

I don't recall this being explicitly stated as fact yet (for Ichigo, at least; for other Quincies, sure). Ichigo was dead in canon, yet he kept his Quincy powers. Now, it's possible that the process of sending a soul to Soul Society affected his powers, or that Urahara took precautions to ensure he kept them, but it's equally possible that his Quincy powers did the same thing as his Hollow powers (merging with his Shinigami powers to an extent). In canon Ichigo said they were both Zangetsu. Whether he was being metaphorical or literal is unclear.

Remember, Ichigo doesn't have to follow the same rules as everyone else because he's Ichigo and therefore super special. Judging him by the standards of others is an exercise in futility.:p

He can not able to assimilate Ichigo's Quincy power when he was a baby, because it was not active, in case of all other Quincy their powers are active. It was suppressed by his Shinigami powers, Ichigo able to awaken his Quincy powers properly during his imprisonment by Quilge Opie who transferred some of Quilge's Reiatsu to Ichigo, which awakened the memories within his Reiatsu left by his mother, who was a Quincy. If a person did not activate his/her Quincy powers than Yhwach can not just assimilate it from them, he can only assimilate active Quincy powers, that's why Uryū is such a rare case his powers were active but he still able to resist Auswählen. That's why i think it was eaten by his zanpakuto because his shinigami powers were far more power this time and now it got home field advantage, It will never allow theft because he is greedy. You can look at manga, you can notice that he is very possessive of Ichigo, he will never allow such travesty.

It's probably relevant that when Ichigo "died" in canon it was in Urahara's magical training dungeon, rather than out in the wild.

  1. Shinigami and Hollows absolutely age, it's just at a weird inconsistent rate.
  2. I used quotation marks around "died" for a reason.

I get the feeling someone is going to call us out on playing hooky. If not now, then later. Best provide an answer but be vague about it. Shikai training is a totally normal thing to do, and a very understandable goal considering it's public knowledge we're trying to graduate in a year.
