[X] End Times Difficulty 9

Was debating between this and New Eden, but I think that this option is more interesting

[X] New Eden Difficulty Unknown
Sounds the most interesting, and also has the benefits of access to all potential tech. I want to see it all, though based on the voting patterns, my vote is unlikely to succeed.

[x] Big Bang

I'm ready. I don't want a good end, I want a satisfying one. So many times people go hard mode on quests, and all of those either become clusterfucks of crits, breaking the setting, or fall into salt fests because people felt it was misrepresented and are surprised by genuine difficulty. I find the concept of a story with a forseeable and satisfying end refreshing.

Let us struggle and fail, until we come to a grave that is satisfactory. I welcome the end with open arms.

Well humanity did run due to some reason, theirs also the fact that we will have to deal with big Energy beings that will likely form based on the other narratives. Also I want to start at somewhere other then the bottom of the food chain.
That's also true, but New Eden offers the same thing, hell based on what I read, New Eden seems to be similar to the Big Bang, except an extra human faction and we could possible win eventually.

true, hmm we also start with less tech which is nice but still random difficulty level is most likely when we start is based on that, and if we start at the Top of the food chain then that be boring.
hmmm

Indeed, If were unlucky... or rather for you, Lucky, we start same time as the energy beings, who would crush us like ants if we are not careful. Or start during a High period for ancients, or start for the Stable period like... the galactic republic one.
While ALSO dealing with another human faction who probably won't like us, or at least would be our rival.

well if the human faction is already their no matter what then the big bang means were dealing with the same end problems that they do because they will be the other extra-universal force in the game. Which means were in a shittier starting situation at the same difficulty.
So ya, on the hand the progenerator timeframe we still deal with energy beings who are likely on the decline, while having top tier in a single tech base. hmmm

Shit, aside from the Fall none of my other options are winning. I'll need to consider alternatives.
Well what are you looking for? I'll start thinking how New Eden can possibly meet those wants.

Indeed, big bang means were by FAR the most powerful until what ever happens happens, While New Eden means we can end up at ANY point in time, with both Strengths and weaknesses.

Just changed vote.

A popular scifi trope are ancient alien civilization who leave behind legacies that younger races struggle to comprehend let alone replicate. I've always been interested in seeing that trope turned around with humans being the powerful ancient race that comes first even if it incredibly uncommen

Changed to New Eden?
May I ask what made you change your mind?
If its not to much trouble to explain anyways.
Edit: Just curious if you thought of something about the option I can use to possible convince others to vote for the option, or if something someone has said convinced you.

Yes but I don't want to deal with the blatant stupidity that's comes with the fall of said ancient powers.

Personally this is one of the appeals of the Big Bang and New Eden option. If were lucky with the New Eden option we get to be the progenitor but NEVER fall, because our tech won't start failing, because we mastered the ever changing properties of the universe.
