Winter is Coming: House Stark Quest

[X] He should be showed mercy, and to be frank executing a man in his condition is a waste of the headsman's sweat. We shall give him the choice of the Wall or lifetime house arrest in Casterly Rock, with his brother to be his warden. If he tries to spite us by demanding his execution, trial by combat or whatnot we'll truss him up like the roasted goose he is and deliver him to Lord Tyrion's custody.

[x] Treasonous Reach Houses will supply a quarter of their levy to the Nights Watch, they will also pay double taxes to the crown for the next five years, any houses with more than one keep or fief will have their additional lands taken and distributed to more Loyal Reach houses. House Tyrell will give us Margaery Tyrell to be married to Dickon Tarly and will give us Olenna, Garlan and Alerie Tyrell as hostages.

[X] Plan I Am 110% Done With Your Shenanigans

[] Every rebel lord in the Reach who bends their knee right fucking now to Lord Paramount Tarly walks away a bit poorer--let's say an extra 10% in back taxes and weregild?--but with the majority of their lands intact. This is a one-time offer because the Demon of Oldstones doesn't feel like coming over there and razing your shit to the ground. Don't like it? Take it up with Randyll and Stannis; I'm sure they'll be nice and reasonable.
-[] NOT SO FUCKING FAST, MACE! Yeah, I see you there. Time for you to put on your big boy britches and accept that you lost. You, my son, are fodder for the Black Brothers, along with your boy Garlan. Your daughter will be wed to Dickon Tarly a year and a day from now, just to be on the safe side.
--[] By virtue of being the only one in the family smart enough to stay home, Willas Tyrell will inherit whatever land the Tyrells held before the Conquest. Highgarden goes to the Tarlys, as befits the Lord Paramount.

[] Those who took up arms against the king and didn't accept our generous offer will be introduced to Lord Tarly and Lord Hightower's forces, who are authorized to strip and reallocate rebel lands as they see fit, with priority given to loyalist second sons and hedge knights.

[] Those who tried to stay neutral in the fight--don't think we forgot about you, you waffling little gits--well... King Stannis isn't happy with you, but now that Renly and the Lannisters are done maybe a nice, somewhat overgenerous expression of loyalty in the form of levies, etc. would go some way in soothing the king's ire? Just throwing that out there, we could always just come over there and sort things out Oldstones way...

[] With that out of the way, we'll leave a contingent of Crownlanders and Riverlanders behind at the smoking hole formerly known as King's Landing to sift the ashes and hell, laugh at the ironborn if they show up in the Blackwater after everything's gone to shit. Scout forces will move in the direction of the Trident, hopefully picking up where the fuckmothering Targaryens have gotten off to. Once we know where they are, we will assemble the greatest single force Westeros has ever seen and stomp them flat.

...this one's a bit ICish, I admit, but hey. What good's an RPG if you don't get to RP a little? ;)

EDIT: Revised and amended because we we looking for redistribution, not marching orders.

[X] Plan: War, What Is It Good For

I kind of feel sorry for Joffrey here.. the only one of them willing to actually surrender, and he basically gets fucked. Ah well.

I fixed the minor overlook there, and just made it so that all of House Tyrell shall be unlanded and given the option of Wall, Chain, Sept, or Stranger. They've fucked up way too hard to be given any leniency. That, and Stannis has a personal hatred of them. Randyll is a hero of the hour, and he's competent as all hell besides, so he gets the big prize in the Reach.

As for other punishments...we honestly can't afford to over extend right now. Pushing too far too fast will see everything fall out from beneath us. Reparations and punishments can wait until we punt the Dornish back into their sandy little hole, and strangle this last dragon in his crib. After that we'll have the manpower free to bring out the punishment cane.

As for King's Landing...we need to keep troops there to maintain order and get a head start on rebuilding. A quarter of a million homeless, hungry people is not something that can be ignored. For now we'll have to settle for having the Reachlords send over tons of food every day just to keep them fed.

The lords that stayed with Renly should be brought to heel. Make sure they don't get any ideas while we still have enemies to fight.

The loyal houses also deserve to be rewarded now rather than be made to wait. So yeah, let's seize lands, grant them, etc. We'll need the Reach to feed the refugees, but we don't want any disloyal lords in charge of Westeros's breadbasket.

I don't think it's going too far to having the lords that stayed with Renly take the Black or face execution, either. Maybe lower level knights can be given the option of joining Randyll Tarly's army or taking the Black.

I don't disagree with your strategies for the armies...but that isn't what Charcolt's vote is asking for. It specifically asks for punishments for treasonous houses and rewards for loyal houses. Strategy will come with a different vote. Punishments and rewards should be decided now.

While I don't disagree with your strategies with the troops, that's not what Charcolt was asking for the with the vote.

[] Plan Reap What You Sew.

[] In light of his injuries, Jaime Lannister will be kept in Stannis's custody until he recovers under the treatment of a maester, after which, he will be given a choice. To serve out the rest of his life as a Sworn Brother of the Night's Watch, where he might one day regain a semblance of honor, or to march forward and be greeted with the headman's axe as justice for his many, many crimes.

[] Randyll Tarly is to be raised up as Lord Paramount of the Mander, Lord of Highgarden, and Warden of the South.

[] Garth Hightower is to be given leave to besiege and sack any Reachlords that do not bow, whose lands shall then be divided up amongst royalist second sons and claimants. House Tyrell is to be stripped of all their lands and titles. The men of House Tyrell shall either take the Black, join the Citadel, swear to the Sept, or they shall soon meet the Stranger themselves. Margaery is to be married to Dickon Tarly to cement Randyll's rule.

[] Lords that remained with Renly will take the Black or face the axe. Their lands will be divided amongst second sons and claimants of loyal houses.

[] Lower level knights will be offered a chance to redeem themselves if they join with the Royalist forces, but they can always take the Black or the axe if they have a problem with that.

[] Houses that defected from or left Renly's army will not have their lands seized, nor will their lords have to take the Black or face the axe. However, they will be facing increased taxes. They are also encouraged to prove their renewed loyalty by joining their levies to the royalist forces, of course.

[] The houses of the Reach will be required to supply the relief efforts for the refugees of King's Landing.

[] The sell sword Bronn is to be knighted and given the hand of Brienne of Tarth for slaying Loras Tyrell in open combat. (If this is accepted. I just like the idea of Loras doing a bunch of fancy sword twirling and then Bronn just shivs him when he's over extended.)

This vote didn't ask for strategies or military actions. Just if we have anything to suggest for Jaime, punishments for treasonous houses and rewards for loyal houses.

Those that left Renly's army shouldn't be punished as severely. However, we don't know which houses did so other than Tarly and Hightower. I kept things vague because we don't know which houses stayed with Renly beyond that.

Unless we can get a list of houses that stayed in Renly's army and those that defected @Charcolt?

For that matter, did any Stormlands houses defect? Should we do anything special to punish treasonous Stormlords or reward loyal ones?

[X] Plan: War, What Is It Good For.

Sorry, guys, I like your plans well enough, but this is not the time to punish anyone in the Reach. Oberyn Martell has an army marching north, and a Targaryen is at large. We can't afford to make the Reach and Stormlands ally with Dorne. In regards to that: @Camiadus, I suggest that no matter what, we do not execute Jaime. We can send him off to the Watch without giving him a choice. But executing him? Might be all that Tyrion needs to decide that the Westerlands should join Dorne, The Reach, The Stormlands (and possibly the Iron Islands) in ganging up on us.
In regards to Dorne, man, that sucks. Please tell me there's no incriminating evidence of our offer to the Yronwoods, and we can blame it all on them? See, this is what happens when you go out of your alignment. If we had simply stayed honorable Starks and Stannis, we might be better off. Now, the Martells have no real rival, and might have actual justification for their rebellion. What's worse is that they have plausible deniability - they might just be marching up to join Stannis and help him (obviously not, but we can't prove it). I just hope Oberyn doesn't decide to respond in kind and send assassins after us. Actually, that would be hilarious - if an assassin got Stannis, we could take over.
We need to get Aegon before the Dornish arrive. No one wants a second hammer and anvil. Once Aegon and his forces are destroyed, the Dornish won't have any reason to fight, and will be so outnumbered they'd have to resort to the fiction that they only came to help us. And really, I'm not too worried about fighting them anywhere that isn't Dorne, where they have homefield terrain and climate advantage.

New plan: Kill Aegon, blame everything on Stannis, let Oberyn poison Stannis, take over, profit.

We still have a war to fight and you think it's a good idea to let treasonous lords hang onto their power when they basically know their punishment is only delayed...so long as Stannis is the King at the end of the day, anyway?

.....

Again, the vote itself calls for punishments and rewards. Not our next move strategy-wise or anything else, but punishments for treasonous lords and rewards for loyal ones. Therefore, this is the time to dole out both. So long as we're not overly harsh and take certain measures the Reach and Stormlands should be brought to heel and brought into the fold.

Anyone that voted for my plan before, I'm changing it a bit. I think giving all the lords an option is a bit less harsh. And I'm pretty sure the lords of Renly's army will take the deal.

Plus, hostages/fosterings to ensure the loyalty of the treasonous lords.

[] Garth Hightower is to be given leave to besiege and sack any Reachlords that do not bow, whose lands shall then be divided up amongst royalist second sons and claimants. House Tyrell is to be stripped of all their lands and titles. The men of the main branch of House Tyrell shall either take the Black, join the Citadel, swear to the Sept, or they shall soon meet the Stranger themselves. Margaery is to be married to Dickon Tarly to cement Randyll's rule. The cadet branch will be allowed to keep their lands and will be treated as other houses that sided with Renly (see below) assuming they swear loyalty.

[] Treasonous lords: One time offer, bend the knee and pledge loyalty to King Stannis. They will be expected to bring their forces to the fold, of course. The treasonous houses will be required to supply the relief efforts for the refugees of King's Landing. Increased support to the Watch will also be expected in the future. Houses that remained with Renly until the end will be expected to provide a greater share than those that did not, and hostages will also be required of them.
-[] The alternative is to take the Black or face the axe. Their lands will be divided amongst second sons and hedge knights of loyal houses.

[] Part of House Redwynes 'greater share' will be ships to replace the losses the Royal Fleet has suffered.

[] Lower level knights will be offered a chance to redeem themselves if they join with the Royalist forces, but they can always take the Black or the axe if they have a problem with that.

[] Besides any lands that are seized, loyal lords and knights will be rewarded with fair shares of the ransoms from the captured treasonous lords.

[] Ser Davos will be granted lordship of the Rainwood.

[] The lands of the Reach along the Roseroad between the middle and south arms of the Mander river are to be considered part of the Crownlands. The current lords will remain, assuming they were already loyal or have bent the knee. They will simply give direct fealty to the King rather than the Lord Paramount of the Mander.

Firstly, I think you mean 'sow', not 'sew'. Secondly, I actually like this plan a lot more, and I'll explain:
Your earlier plan gave no incentive for anybody who supported Renly to help us. They would be getting punished no matter what, so what did they have to lose by supporting Aegon/Oberyn? They could only gain if they won (or at least, get to keep what was originally theirs) and if they lost, Stannis can't kill them/take away their lands/send them to the Wall more than once. Now, those lords have reason to fight for Stannis - they know they can keep some of what they have. I would add a positive incentive to the plan, though: similar to how "Lower level knights will be offered a chance to redeem themselves if they join with the Royalist forces", I would make it clear that treasonous lords who knelt who do their full duty in fighting against Aegon/Oberyn/The Ironborn may not be penalized at all. That would give them added positive incentive to actually fight for us, and fight well, rather than the current negative incentive against not fighting for us.
If that happens, I'm more than willing to fully support your plan.

House arrest for Jamie is being far, far too lenient. Stannis will probably lose it if we even suggest it. Execution out of hand is not wise either though.

The wall is the correct option here. It's a socially accepted alternative to execution, that will nevertheless be perceived as more merciful by Jamie's relatives.
