His voice is mighty, full of life and vigor. "Hrmm? Oh, aye. We moved close to Zhufbar. Spent two decades selling cloth to them. Good money to be made. Bought some useful tools and equipment. I'll show them to you when we're settle-." He stops speaking as Helga approaches, inclining her head at the newly arrived dwarf. Olaf smiles and moves closer, adjusting his collar and beard. "Oohoo, now who's this handsome la-"
I ship it.

Well, good synergy for food with the black soil.

So... Get our priest of Gazul from Hirn? Start major food production.

And then we get our Smednir from the last or something.

Or we could just keep doubling down on Norn. Which I think is a bad play.

I think that our positioning should let us be a trade hub between holds, and we should lean into that.

Hot damn. Aside from the forest purge and militia training being rather middling, this turn went amazingly well for us. We've just immediately jumped into having a reliable supply of firearms, and our economy is primed to get supercharged.

[]Contact the local fanatics:
Almok Silversinger, your herald, will go out to visit the city of Kell and see if the Sigmarite zealots are willing to open up trade negotiations with you.

[]Make diplomatic contact with Wissenland:
Almok Silversinger, your herald, will go out to Wissenburg, capital of Wissenland, and attempt to open diplomatic contact with the province, and to find out if there are any goods you have that they'd be interested in.

[] Exporting excess grain:
Your Dawi are skilled farmers and produce more grains than you need for personal consumption. You have many types of grain, each mixture oriented towards a specific type of bread. You recently learned that you produce a type of grain that could be very valuable to Dawi for its cultural significance.
You begin developing agriculture as a pillar of your economy.

[] Survey local lands:
Send out dour Longbeards to examine the lands between your side of the River Söll and the Grey Mountains. Find the local humans, potential sources of wealth, and anything that you might have missed.
Chance to find mineral wealth, useful plants and animals, ruins, and find local Umgi.

[] Get to know the province:
Send out inquisitive beardlings throughout Solland to find the locals and hear out all the gossip. Get a good grasp of just what it is like.

Something I would like to do in Turn 4 is action clean up. The quest has yet to truly get the lay of the land right now, and has begun steps in a direction of getting cozy with the Warlord. This may be the last opportunity to get a look into the other human groups in Wissenalnd before the quest clan gets too cozy with the Warlord. Diplomacy is important, as is knowing if the clan has friends, enemies, or opportunity.

Getting the grain set up now, not the fertilizer the actual grains to be set up for both the future immigration, but also as a Trade Good to the Holds. We know one Hold could use the grain, and having more grain for when the quest will make contact will be a good idea. And future immigration, to get ahead on that too.

The quest clan has a learning advisor, so use her to take a look at the local lands, and to double check if there is anything in Wissenland to pay attention to, such as a wandering wizard hunting down dwarf settlements...

Everything else would need to be delayed just to clear these actions out. Then the quest can do whatever they want, engineeer weapons, maybe develop some armour, get a better rumor mill built up. Focus on stewardship actions exclusively. Whatever, after getting a more firm grip of understanding on the Wissenland province.

Ansgar and the rolls were amazing on the clan retreival actions, really sped things up.

Sounds like the Ancestors are punishing the High King for his hubris against our clan.
Between our Wagons likely saving Dawi lives for years to come, our future food production, introducing zornian spelt to those not of noble Karaz-A-Karak lineage and whatever else we are going to supply our fellow Dawi with, I feel like we're on a solid path when it comes to accumulating Dawi-Karma.

We are definitely doing more than just about every other wannabe Thane for dwarven kind.

Hot damn. Aside from the forest purge and militia training being rather middling, this turn went amazingly well for us.
Militia training will just take an action or two more and forest purge was solid. Well, for us. The human infantry kinda sucked, but what else is new.

Well that'd be a damn shame if they had gotten ground into chutney by a rampaging ork stampede. If nothing else it would settle the blood feud quite nicely!
With our new rifles and our budding Militia, I don't think they're in a position to mess with us anymore. How the tables have turned.

Can the engineers build cannons for the walls?
We'd probably have to commission those via the new action:
Olaf unlocks a new section for plan-voting. Commissioned Engineering. This is used to purchase technology from Engineers. Note, this section can be empty depending on diplomatic standing, and will be very expensive.
Our metal-working skills are pretty made and the Umgdawi smiths seem to be more along the line of making steel weapons, armor and tools; not guns.

We'll need to see the prices first. We have an income, but that income is currently only in the hundreds of Gorls. We may not be able to afford anything from Zhufbar at all for a while, though I of course hope this is not true.

So assuming we have five actions again

Probably 1) Grain, 2) Grain trade with Karak Hirn, 3) local land stuff, 4) make official diplomatic overtures to Norn as it seems like we should strike while the iron is hot, and 5) the rumors Brightstone Caravan.

This should get us going with our Karak trade network, get a better lay of the land, secure Karak Norn, and the rumors caravan should start to give us the shape of politics without actually getting entangled.

[] Karak Hirn
Synergizes really well with exporting grain, since they're going to be our main customer.

Now that we've got the tenderfingers, we should start producing dye for their cloth as well. As well as the caravan which will be important now that we've purged the forests, so they can start trading to the south of us, into the Vaults and Tilea.

The mention of legitimacy and lots of guilds is actually very tempting, now that I think about it. We will be able to gain a lot of oomph out of the grain trade, especially with our Zornian Spelt.
