Operation Weihnachtswunder (A CK2 Style Quest to Save Christmas!)

Evening! Today has been hectic. But I have been following the thread, and am enjoying the reactions.

So the Father has cast out the Son, but what is the Holy Spirit doing right now?

That is a very good question! One with an answer I'm keeping close to the vest at the moment.

Ignorance: "We made a new friend! We found them at the grocers!"

Want: "They're a spirit too! Say hi Holly!"

Holy Spirit: "My name is.."

*Ignorance and Want look at her with big pleading eyes*

Holly: "..sure. My name is Holly."

Ignorance & Want: "Yaaay!"

lol, love it! The Cat's name is now Holly. I'm afraid it's not the Holy Spirit though. :D

somewhere in the afterlife of this universe Arius must be so smug

...there's an interesting omake idea...

Actual power levels are unclear, but he's certainly swinging harder than we are.

Oh, He most definitely is.

Uhhh? No? Yahweh is explicitly stated to be the name of The Father.
Honestly, there's two ways to read it.
- The "He" is the Son. This was your interpretation. The soon-to-be Lucifer asserts that the Father (named Yahweh) created the Son, and asks if the son had been informed of this.
- The "He" is the Father. This was my interpretation, at least initially. The soon-to-be-Lucifer asserts that Yahweh (presumably the actual creator of all the things) created the Father (not currently named) and asks, by implication, if the Father was so deep in his own lies that he'd wiped the knowledge from his own mind.

I admit, currently, I'm not entirely clear on which one it is.

I kind of imagine it's more Gods just being hands off in general. Perhaps by mutual agreement or some such. Or maybe they just don't care much about it.

Maybe it's something like the Pax Arcanum from Mage the Awakening? The various gods may have agreed to only act indirectly, because direct intervention risks direct conflict and escalation between the various pantheons, with all the consequences and destruction that would entail.

A not is probably missing.

Fixed!

I'm curious to know about the relationship between Yahwe and the other gods, as well as their respective power levels. Is Yahwe holding the pagan gods at bay and being the reason they stopped being worshipped?

Good question! If you don't mind, I'll answer more tomorrow. I need sleep, and don't want to give a tired half-ass reply. But I wlll say that The Father has a known victory over the Egyptian Pantheon. I will also say that The Father cannot shit-stomp his way through the rest of the known divine.

This was around what I was thinking yeah. When the world was more isolated they still fought with each other, as the world gets more connected it gets more complicated and more get drawn into fights.

There's also the possibility that "He" is the Holy Spirit, who might have been lied to by the Father.

So, who couldn't get to sleep until 3 AM, wrecking their sleep schedule? This guy!

You're pretty much on the mark. Though it also applies to a lot of the Unseen World as well, thought they get more leeway in general. Fun fact, Holidays are probably one of the most influential on the Seen World in general. (You're planning to give presents to the children of the world. That is a shit-ton of influence.)

[X] Cat: Maine Coon
No, it doesn't fit the environment - but Maine Coons are big and loud, and if TheRussianBadger has taught me anything, it's that "loud=funny" for at least a decent portion of people - and they're also big enough that Ignorance and Want can both pet the cat simultaneously with hand space to spare.

I see Ignorance and Want having at least some of that desperate greed that comes with having experienced starvation, in basically everything.

That means that More Cat is Better Cat. They're only going to be able to get away with picking up one cat, but they still want to maximize the amount of cat they get. Maine Coon is Most Cat and therefore Best Cat. Stands to reason.

They're Big Bois. They're also one of the most intelligent breeds of cat out there.
