Corruption's creeping up again...
i do want to smack down corruption a bit in the coming turns. Having none is never going to happen most likely but it's getting a bit high for my tastes given its narrative appearances and mentions so far.
I'm hoping to do Fight Corruption next turn. We should be able rebuild another Imperial Support that we can afford to stick a couple of dice on the action. I'm also going the BRT for Bureaucracy this turn in the hope its bonus will help with doing Fight Corruption next turn and its 2nd Stage will lower Corruption like completing its 1st Stage did.

Imperial Navy
[]Capital Yard
A Trilitera arm converted into a dockyard, holding two of these colossal warships. Lira Wessex insists that no real automation scheme for the ISD-I or II will come from planning alone. To do it right, she says, you need to be in the dockyard, ripping out their guts and rebuilding from the keel up. (0/600, 20 Resources per Die) (-4 Strategic Goods, -8 Capital Goods, -4 Labor, -5 Basing, -6 Logistics) (Enables the refit, repair, or construction of up to two Capital Class vessels at once)
Uhm.

I'm starting to wonder if the ISD refit is still worth it.

It was intended as a quick stopgap, but by the time we get this build, and then gotten all our ISD's refit two at a time, the first batches of clones will be ready.

So, at that point we might as well keep the original design and clonecrew them.

First of all,:
You're gonna need the yard one way or another
This. We were going to need the shipyard sooner or later if only to repair our warships or be able to maintain them. We will also need it to build new warships.

Secondly, we did not go for the quick stopgag measure for automating our ISDs. That was the Partly Automate Star Destroyers project and the thread choose to skip that to go straight for both Expansive ISD Automation Refit Development projects. I'll admit that it is a little annoying with how long it is taking, but we skipped the half measures and this is the end result of that.

At this point, we were going to need the Capital Yard anyway so we might as well finish the automating once it is done.

This is actually very useful given cost and reward. No IS hit either.

Could see us doing this more easily.
Probably generates a lot of unrest though.

People won't be happy to have their children send to the mines while prestigious jobs are taken by Chrhod clones.

I'll list her there, but no. her mechanical bonus is solely enabling better spaceship design projects. Like the new, better automation project chain.

Dang, guess Chrhod's workaholicism doesn't rub off on everyone.

You know, I didn't realise the implications of the action. I mostly looked at it and saw cheap labour. I'm switching Vocational Track Integration to Advanced Education Initiatives. Let's sort our education system first before we start turning failed students into child labour.

We will need it and unlike the Empire we don't have the shear population to draw upon to man the ISDs, modernized Venators, and all the other ships and stations we plan on building.

Lira knows she can get the crew reqs for the ISD I and II down to 5k each if she is given free reign and all the funding she needs.
For those wondering, this roughly translates into needing 1 Labour per 2 ISDs rather than 3 Labour per 1 ISDs.
[]Crew stored ISD-IIs
The ISD-IIs in storage at Exegol are in good condition, only manpower, droids and some weeks of initial training left to actually use them.
(0/100 5 Resources per Die)(-30 Labor, -10 Capital Goods)
It would take this project done from needing 30 Labour to needing 5 Labour though it would increase the Capital Good requirement by who knows how much. Hopefully it could be a more efficient exchange of Labour to Capital Goods thanks to having Lira Wessex doing the automation in an efficient manner.

You're not paying ongoing costs for each star destroyer that enters your little operation aside from food and consoom goods for the crew, do you

Refit will cost still cost Resources tho

Not even. For the proper refit you only need to pay the ongoing indicator costs for the yard.
That is very good to know. It definitely makes the Capital Yard a higher priority as it will be one our best sources of Labour and military might, giving us +5 Labour per turn for 6 Turns once it is complete as it refits our ISDs. Fortunately, we have a plenty of Military Dice and our Military bonus is high.

It would also take five turns of not giving us Labour reduce Crew Stored ISD-IIs from needing 30 Labour to needing 5 Labour.

So doing the maths, that's 7 Turns of refitting active ISDs, 5 Turns of refitting the stored ISD-IIs. And that's excluding any loot from Corellia or Anaxes. Speaking of which, we should build a big buffer of Food and Consumer Goods for when those Remnants fall.

Well, after you compete the Yard Wessex will figure out her cool new automation scheme by ripping apart and ISD I and II which will be a bit more larger project, at the end of which you will have the first ISD I.I and II.I and then you can work on refitting the rest.

So build two ISDs then begin refits. Which would bring us to 25 IDS before any Corellia or Anaxes loot is considered.
