Steel and Ambition: No SV, Just Building the Guns Won't Make for a Successful Business. You Need More!

hmmm, okay, so we got some stuff and at least some basic security too. What actions would we ned to take to improve our forge or security? Or do those actions not appear yet?

I think we should do the social actions with Sakamoto and our sisters. That and teach our sisters. They are young, but we can teach them some basic stuff. Do they even know how to read or write yet? I think you said they were less than 3 years old earlier in the thread.

For workshop action, we should make more steel, we have very little of it.

[X] The Foundation of materials
-[X]The Sisters You Love: Miriko and Makoto have been through so much that you want to make sure they can do anything you can ask them.
-[X]Eavesdrop on Conversations: These villagers do not really seem to be anything more than informants for Sakamoto, or the Shogun, but that does not mean you can't learn news from them.
-[X]Gather Materials: Scavenge wood, iron, or even discarded metal from old weapons to use in your workshop.
-[X]Refine Materials: Improve the quality of your raw materials through tempering and careful craftsmanship, increasing the durability and effectiveness of future weapons. (can only make Iron to Steel)
-[X]Investigate Gun Design Theory: Dive into the principles behind firearm mechanics. Look into blueprints, books, or historical records on matchlocks, pistols, and rifles to develop a more advanced and innovative design for your weapons.

Don't want to force our sisters to do things they don't want to.

I'm not super happy with the Refine Materials action, but...yeah, there doesn't seem to be a good alternative...

You don't have the ability to mass purchase materials yet.

Because you know...

Still being hunted by many factions that want to have you in their corner because of what you could potentially do.

Once, we start making guns, we shouldn't make any advance guns just yet. That will draw attention to Sakamoto and eventually us. We should first start by making good quality matchlocks. Not the bests, but good enough. Get a stockpile of that first. then we can start on prototype weapons. We should research ways of making better quality steel at faster rates. After all, guns win battles, but economy and logistics win wars.

So does anyone have any questions that they want to ask me?
